[Vash sat up in the woods with a pounding headache. More worrying for him at the moment was the biting cold wind that was hitting his skin at nearly every angle. Once again the Malnosso had left him out in the cold of winter in nothing but new feather pants. Leaving all his scars exposed.
Some days he really hates those guys.
Those out in the woods today might glimpse the rare nearly naked Vash as he tries to dash from tree to tree as he quickly makes his way to the clothing shop to retrieve his trademark red coat back. It's sitting in the shop waiting for him and he's hoping no one is shopping at the store so they won't be shocked at his scars or currently trying on his coat. He really wants that back.
Once fully clothed again Vash will make a quick stop to the grocery store. As he isn't sure how long he's been gone and last he knew he was the only one on his floor. He wanted to make sure there was something worth eating in his place. He also grabs the nicer cat food because while he's sure the cats are good at fending for themselves he still feels the need to bring a peace offering for being gone if he wants to sleep at all tonight.
From there he heads home to the ice building. He's finally happy to be home at last. His head is still pounding with images of shady men and he can't help feeling there's still something wrong. He never gets off from a visit with the Malnosso without something going wrong. He finds out what a little bit later when he's suddenly hit by the hiccups.
Maybe he was just sitting down to a sandwich. Trying to clean his gun. Getting out of the shower. Sitting around quiet. Walking around town. Anytime during the next week hiccups will suddenly come and each time that he hiccups he suddenly teleports somewhere random.
Anytime this week you could have a Vash falling from your ceiling. Trapped in your closet; banging to be let out. Hopefully he doesn't show up in your bath with you. Feel free to find Vash anywhere in nearly any situation that suits your pleasure! Just beware the noise...]

Hiccup!
[Action] Can't resist, not sorry
Well, she wouldn't have, but just as she enters the kitchen there's a sudden weight falling onto her, practically crushing her beneath it. A very feminine yelp sounds before she groans, trying to figure out just what happened as... All she sees is a lot of red fabric. What in the world?]
[Action]
The next he was out of his comfy chair and instead on something wiggly and noisy. His empty revolver sitting open and empty in one hand and a cloth in his other. Hey... wasn't this the kitchen he had just left?
Wait. Wasn't that something wiggly and noisy under him?] Ahhh! [In a whirlwind of arms and legs Vash removes himself from Adela.] Sorry! Sorry! So Sorry! [Whoa! Did he just crush a total babe?]
Wow! You're a total babe!
[Action]
...]
ACK! [And that's a squeak from Adela as she flushes immediately and scrambles to her feet, her arms flying to cover her shoulders and chest area as she takes a couple of steps back. That was a person who fell on her? How did that even happen?]
Aah -- I -- pardon me!
[Without another word she's walking away as fast as she possibly can, right back to her room with the intent on covering up. She just showed a man that much skin of her own body oh Nehra why did this have to happen to her!? Maybe later she'd wonder what a 'total babe' meant, but then and there? More modest clothing was required.]
[Action] 1/2
[Action] 2/2
Hiccup.
[Don't turn around once you shut that door Adela. There's a man in a red coat right behind you!]
1/?
[Action] 2/3
[Action] 3/3 Done!
H-How did you-- But you were just out there!
[Action]
I was, but now I'm-- and you're-- how-- I-I- I DON'T KNOW!
[Action]
At the same time Adela's still stammering, tomato-red by that point before she opens the door.]
Well, get out! A-At least allow me to change clothes!
[Action]
[And he's gone. Not in the shared kitchen. Just vanished completely.
...hopefully she doesn't need anything out of her closet.]
[Action]
... Just where did he go, anyway?]
[Action]
All he knows is that it's cramp, dark, and his headache was even worse. He wiggles and moves about trying to stop the blood from rushing into his face. Something suddenly falls and brushes his cheek. Whatever it was felt soft and doesn't seem to pose any threat to himself.
Meh, best to shriek in an unmanly manner just to be sure.]
ACK! WHAT WAS THAT!? [Seeing as his wiggling and attempts so far to escape have been fruitless he starts pounding with more force.]
Help! HELP! Someone, help! I don't know where I am!
MOMMMMMMMMMY!
[Does Adela notice the banging and crying that's happening in her closet?]
[Action]
It immediately gets her attention and Adela turns, frowning at the moving door before opening it. She's on her guard, but she can't exactly do much without her sword... But at least she has a feeling that she recognizes the voice. Don't mind her stepping out of the way to allow Vash to just tumble out there.]
[Action]
Ahhhhhh! I must have hit my head and I'm still dreaming! The beautiful angel of my dreams is here!
[He doesn't bother getting up. Afraid that if he moves just right he might teleport again.]
[Action]
I-I am not... Just get to your feet already!
[Action]
[Action]
[Wait she's losing focus here!]
And just how in the world did you get in there in the first place!?
[Action]
[A good answer to both questions!]
Hahahahha.
[Action]
Will you at least leave my room?
[Action]
He quickly slips his gun and cleaning equipment into his pockets as he carefully gets to his feet.]
[Action]
... You live on this floor as well?
[Action]
Thank goodness. I think it's over.
Sorry I wasn't here to help you move in!
[Action]
[Though, that sounds ominous. For him to have been away for so long... From what she knows, there's only one conclusion she can come to. And, with that, she suddenly feels both pity and dread.]
[Action]
[No wonder Rem's flowers had looked so wilted. He had been lucky. Really lucky with those.]
T-th- ah, um... I- hahaha! Yeah! Of course! A month! HAHHAHAHA! Of course! Of course!
Ah, um... what day is it?
[Action] NOW WITH LESS DATE FAIL
The seventh of February.
[Action]
Ah! Thanks! I wasn't sure if it was the 6th or the 7th! I always lose track of the days! HAHAHAHA!
But I guess I'll be leaving now. OH! We should have dinner together tonight! A belated welcome to the floor!
[Action]
I was going to cook food for myself before you landed on me. You need not do such a thing for my sake.
[Action]
[Action]
She can't say no to that face.]
I... I cannot guarantee that there will be enough for both of us. But I suppose I can see about it. It will be simple cooking.
[Action]
[Action]
...
[Give her a second.]
There is something I wish to ask of you though, stranger.
[Action]
[Action]
[Adela, focus.]
... But you called me a 'babe' earlier?
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Oh goodness she doesn't know how to handle this. In fact she's just going to walk right by him and towards the kitchen now. Focusing on something other than whatever nonsense he's spouting out should help.]
[Action]
[Vash turns and follows her out of her apartment just an arm's length behind. A bit like a little puppy.]
So! What's for dinner!
[Action]
[Yes good she can handle the change in conversation. Anything that isn't flattery will be good.]
I may also use some of the lemon juice and garlic on the fish.
[Action]
[And it is. That garlic and a squeeze of lemon on fish is just- just-
What Kuroneko and Donut would go nuts for.] Um, hope my cats haven't caused you too much trouble.
[Action]
[She's frowning a bit, shaking her head before slipping into the kitchen and beginning to pull the skillet, sauce pan, knives, and cutting board out.]
But someone had to take care of them.
[Action]
Hahaha, I know how annoying they really can be.
[Action]
The reason why becomes evident when a big piece of what she's cooking ends up unspiced and set aside on a plate. Just enough for two cats.
Once it's done she'll put the plates on the table, fully intending to eat quietly from there. It's been a long time since she's had company to eat with though, and... She's not sure if she wants to admit it, but it's kind of nice.]
[Action]
Those cats are sneaky. I swear. Put them in a room with no windows or doors and I swear they'd still get out!
[He keeps chatting on. Talking about the cats for awhile. Switching to the weather. Letting her know that he's usually a quite guy he'll try not to keep her up too late at night. He'll be sure not to eat all the food in the fridge and leave what belongs to her alone. He just keeps chattering along, for now avoiding anything she'd have to give an answer to. Yet giving her a chance to jump in if she wanted to.]
Mmhmm! These sure smells delicious!
[Action]
[Action]
And slowly chew.
And slowly chew.
And-]
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
It's even BETTER than it smells! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Super tasty! Mmmmhmmm! It's so good! Danke, danke! [In the midst of his happy shouting he starts to shovel more food into his mouth. It's not the best he's ever had by far. (But to be fair, his best friend for while was Sanji and it's hard to beat Sanji's cooking.) Even so he'd be happy to say it is.
More than that. After that first bite he realized just how hungry he was. His time with the Malnosso is still blurry and after so long in Luceti he knows they will probably never become clear and he's pretty sure he doesn't want them to. Yet, he's starting to think he hasn't had much to eat in the past couple days.]
Mmmhmmm! I'm not sure if I'll be able to make up a dinner as tasty as this for you later! [Said through a mouthful of food.]
[Action]
[It... Kind of made her happy, to see him enjoying her cooking the way he is. It was weird, but in a good way. Still, she's content to eat quietly (if a little quickly, she's pretty hungry herself), absently watching to see if the two cats had come up for their own fish as well.]
[Action]
And I'm sure glad you had the extra! Mmmhmm! Because this is just super tasty! [He takes a couple more bites. Then tries to slow down a little bit and decides to test the water to see if his company will be a little more talkative when not focused on cooking.]
So you moved in about a month ago, now? Is this you're first time to Luceti? [As far as Vash could remember he hadn't seen her around before. A photographic memory as his he can sometimes keep track of the inhabitants comings and goings, but it's not always easy.]
[Action]
One can arrive her more than once?
[Action]
Mmhmm. Sometimes. Some people sometimes come here remembering their last visit, other people don't.
[Action]
[Her eyes are intently on the plate, and she's frowning. So, even if she finds a way back, she can still be captured and brought here again? That's a disturbing thought... No, more than disturbing. It bothers her a great deal, to think that any effort in trying to get home, even if it's successful, might be in vain.]
[Action]
The name's Vash by the way.
[Action]
[Hunter of peace? Is he serious? She's still eating, but she's giving Vash a questioning look for that one.]
Re: [Action]
[Action]
Re: [Action]
[Action]
[Action]
And even prettier when angry!
[Action]
[She's bristling a bit, only getting more angry and unsure of how to handle it. It's one thing when that cad was blatantly offering his body the other day, but now this... This is happening and she doesn't know how to handle it.]
Just what do you wish of me, if you continue to try and flatter like this?
[Action]
As he really doesn't want anything. Just likes girls to know that they're pretty. He may ask for love, but it's not at all what he really wants.] When you're ready to admit that you've fallen madly in love with me, just let me know! I can wait for someone as beautiful as you!
[Action]
[Just what is he saying? Now her stomach's flipping from her nerves and she's shaking her head, unsure of just how to take it. Does he actually want her to... ACK! She can't figure it out! It's hard enough to work with friends, and now he's talking about falling in love with him??]
[Action]
[Action] I love how she's been forced into this reaction with multiple people now.
[Action] Luceti is just full of flirts
[Opps. There he went.]
[Action] Haha it isn't just the flirty ones that are getting this reaction
[Action]
A good ten to fifteen minutes later Vash will eventually arrive back home. His hair is a mess and he's shivering slightly. A new bruise is forming around his forehead, but if Adela is around to see him he'll still have a big beaming smile for her. A shy laugh and even a wave.
If she's finished cleaning by that point then Vash will quietly head into his room to change out of his clothes.
Teleporting all the way out to the ocean in winter just isn't any fun at all. Not to mention all the other places he has ended up at.]
[Action]
You know what. She's just not going to ask. She'll go to bed. Whether or not she'll have the cats invading her bed again is questionable, but at least now she knows that she has a neighbour on the floor. Even if he's strange and rowdy and flirtatious, she's not sure if she minds having the company. It makes the floor seem less quiet, at least.]
no subject
I'm sorry. But Hiccup's not here anymore...
Oh! Got me just as I was about to go to bed! *can't resist to not tag*
Ah! Ah! AH! AHHHH-CHOOOO!
[And a loud thud as the force of the sneeze sends Vash's head flying into the door.]
OW!
no subject
[He hears that thud, and he scampers over to the closet door more quickly, swinging it right open.]
no subject
I think sAHHH-CHOO! So.
[He sits up. Trying to rub some of the white powered out of his eyes. Suddenly glad he typically covers himself neck to toe as the parts of skin the flower touches starts to itch. He really, really hates that death penalty.]
no subject
Vash?!
no subject
Oh! Hello. Fancy meeting you here!
no subject
Let me help you like that!
[Hope you like a sudden gust of wind in your face Vash, because it's time for that flour to get airbent off.]
no subject
[Suddenly Vash is gone, but if Aang turns around towards a shelf that had some pies on it there's Vash. Sitting right where the pies use to be. Well, they're still there, just unlikely anyone will want them.]
-preciate it.
Huh!?
no subject
He turns towards the source of the voice. And... blinks again.]
What just happened? Do you... like sitting in pies?
no subject
no subject
Don't worry, Vash. It's... it's no big deal. I'll take care of it.
no subject
[Now Vash is behind Aang, but at least nothing is being destroyed.]
-I'm somewhere new- GAH! IT NEVER STOPS!
no subject
But no one expected a hiccuping man to apparate within the path of Lee's foot.]
1/2
Suddenly leaving his kitchen, just about to bite into a sandwich he had just finished putting together and then finding himself face to face with a sparring dummy is something else completely.]
What the hec-
2/2
Sandwich still raised in optimum eating position smashes into his face. Tomato, lettuce, salmon, and bread, smear into his face as his face is busy giving a kiss to the sparring dummy.]
no subject
But it won't last too long. Lee quickly realizes his foot is making contact with something fleshy and leaps back, recognizing Vash.]
Ah... Vash-senpai! As swift as ever. Is this your way of challenging me?
no subject
Ieieieieiieie. That really hurt.
[Rubbing the back of his head he leans back to finally look at his assailant.] L-Lee! [Oh dear. Why'd it have to be him?] Fancy seeing you here! I'll catch... ya... later! [Yes! Quick escape! It's the best method!
He'll just attempt to crawl off on his hands and knees.]
no subject
no subject
Hiccup!
[I hope Lee was done training with that dummy as the two have gone from the clearing in the woods to high up in a tree.]
Can't... breath...
no subject
Ah... Vash-senpai! Is this some new hidden skill?!
no subject
no subject
no subject
It's the Malnosso, Lee. They made it so I'm teleporting around. I think it's whenever I hiccup.
no subject
no subject
no subject
[He will try to lift Vash up and jump right off of the tree.]
no subject
LEE! WAIT! We're pretty high up-HICCUP!
[Uh-oh, where do they end up just as Lee is about to jump~?]
Bath
These thoughts were interrupted when he heard a hiccup followed by a splash]
Nice steamy bath
AH! DROWNING!! [Give him a second to realize that his tail bone is throbbing, his flailing limbs are hitting porcelain, and the water is oddly warm. So he wasn't teleported out to sea or the lake? As that's what he's use to.
At least the hiccups have soundly been scared out of him?]
Re: Nice steamy bath
What are you doing in my bath, Vash?!
[He had no problem with the proximity, but warning was essential, plus all the splashing about was really ruining the whole experience]
Re: Nice steamy bath
I. DON'T. KNOW!
[Wait. Bath? HE'S IN A BATH WITH A NAKED OLD MAN! And the flailing starts up again as Vash attempts to vacate the tub. Only for his boots to slip and have him go falling back into the water.]
no subject
Instead of flailing about wildly, you could take your time and do it properly!
[He was keeping a bit of a further distance from Vash who was still flopping around like a fish]
no subject
I thought I was a goner for sure for a minute there.
[He runs a hand through his hair. His usual broom like styling, wet and flat against his face.]
no subject
Mmmmmm, you haven't gotten accustomed to larger bodies of water?
[Swimming was pretty common in the Fire Nation. Being surrounded by water, and often on ships, it was a good skill to have.]
no subject
I've gotten a bit more accustomed to them. Just not when I'm dropped from the sky into them.
[He can't help but wonder if Yuber has been returned to Luceti for a moment, but dismisses it. That demon would have sent him out to the ocean for sure if he was.]
S-sorry for ruining your bath. [He stands up carefully. Realizing he's left a small pool of water on the floor under him from his splashing and now dripping.] And for the mess.
Going to go with they have played at least one game of Pai Sho
[Iroh gives a shrug]
It is alright, messes will be made, and occasionally a relaxing bath will get disrupted. I think of this an opportunity in disguise. We can play another game of Pai Sho, and I can make you some tea, while you hang up your wet clothing to dry, and mop up the bathroom.
[He is nice, but you will have to clean up your own mess a bit, Vash]
Sounds fair! We can say Vash lost the first game pretty horribly then was Mallynapped sometime after
Oh, alright. [He tries to fake a slight pout in that agreement, but it really is pretty fair.]
Do you have a place I can hang my coat? I can just wear what I have underneath it for now. That's mostly leather anyway so it will dry quickly. [Okay, the jeans he's wearing won't, but he's pretty sure Iroh won't have anything that will fit him and he'd rather try to explain falling from the sky then the scars he has hiding under his clothes.] Unless someone a bit taller than you lives here too.
Cool cool cool
One of the perks about being a firebender, is the ease at which drying can be accomplished.
We'll have you nice and dry soon enough.
[He gestures to a hanger for the meantime]
First off, I would prefer to get into something a little more... suitable for entertaining a guest. If you'll excuse me.
[With a slight head bow, he heads off to his room to change]
no subject
While Iroh changes Vash keeps his mind busy by finding a towel to start mopping up some of the mess he made. Trying to picture just how Iroh plans to use fire bending to dry. He's pretty sure his coat is just fire resistant not fire proof.
Although, if it's a fire whirlwind that would be kind of interesting to see. He'll be picturing images like that as he dries the floor.]
no subject
Might I come in?
no subject
Of course. Come on in. The floor's still is a little wet so be careful.
no subject
If you would like, come and bring your wet things, we will put them by fire, and I will help to make sure it reaches the necessary places without singeing your gear. It might also do you some good to be by a fire.
[He gestures for Vash to follow him]
no subject
He folds the coat a little bit, trying to keep the dripping to a minimum, with his boots underneath. Despite his best efforts he's still a dripping mess. Water from his droopy hair, his coat, and clothes just doesn't seem to want to stay on him. Yet, he makes it to the fireplace eventually.]
Ah, sorry for the mess... again. Hahahahaha!
[It just is what it is as Vash finds a spot to put his coat. He's curious to see how this firebending was going to work. Maybe he could learn a bit more about how to use the fire magic he's learned in Luceti from it.]
no subject
It might be a little less showy then you were expecting, but one must be very careful of fire. Much like the destructiveness of man, a fire can quickly consume far more than intended.
no subject
He nods as Iroh explains the need to be careful of fire. Living over a hundred years on a desert planet - it's a lesson one learns quickly. While there is plenty of sand to smother a fire, there is an extreme lack of water to combat anything bigger.]
Yes, but you seem to have a healthy respect for it. I'll trust my coat in your hands.
no subject
[He gives a little nod]
I don't believe I have ever seen you wear a different coat, does this one have sentimental value?
no subject
It's a good sturdy coat that's seen me through a lot of different things. Heh, like teleporting hiccups. [He reaches out to rub his thumb on the one sleeve that it has.]
And it's a pretty good color too, don't you think?
[Rem, he can hear her once again in his mind. Something this world had taken from him once before.] Did you know, that in the language of flowers, red means courage and determination?
no subject
[Iroh pauses a moment]
So you teleport everytime you hiccup? That seems rather an odd shift.
[He smiles]
I am familiar with the language of flowers. Reds feature prominently in the colours of the Fire Nation. I took to wearing greens in Ba Sing Se, the colour of life, balance, and growth.
no subject
Although the colors of Ba Sing Se sounds really nice too.
Thanks for drying my coat for me. After I cut you bath short and all.
no subject
[Iroh smiles fondly, remembering]
Yes, ah the girls of Ba Sing Se city, are so lovely and pretty...
[He takes a breath in and sighs, he certainly missed seeing those beauties on a daily basis]
You are welcome. Don't worry about the bath, if that is the worse thing to happen in a day, it wouldn't bother me too much. Admittedly, I might start taking showers.
[He gives a grin]
no subject
no subject
[Hot water is his weakness, sometimes it has leaf juices within it]
no subject
[Not that he's one to talk. Bounty hunters have tried in the past to catch him in the shower. After all, it must be easier to catch the sixty billion double dollar man unarmed. Too bad most of them didn't know that his left arm is a prosthetic and hiding a gun inside of it.]
But why were you captured to begin with? You seem too nice of an old man to be anything too scary. Did you rob a store or something? I'm not spending time with someone who's going to be a bad influence on me, am I?
[He says it with a joking tone to his voice. Even if Iroh was some kind of wanted man back home Vash really isn't the kind to be judging base on that alone.]
no subject
Yes, they didn't even allow me to get anything on more than a loincloth. Not the best way to travel.
[He begins brewing some tea before he goes into any back story]
Are you sure you would like to know?
1/2
2/2
Only if you would like to share. I don't need to know everything that might have happened back home. It's one of the interesting aspect of being in Luceti.
no subject
I was a different man several years ago. My official title used to be General Iroh, crown prince of the Fire Nation, and leader of a successful campaign through the Earth Kingdom. We had many hard fought victories, and managed to cut a swathe through the kingdom, severely crippling the Earth Kingdom forces, and I besieged the greatest of bastions in our world, the mighty city of Ba Sing Se. The siege lasted for 600 days, until my men and I tired and we lifted the siege. There were lingering feelings of animosity afterwards.
[Though he lifted the siege because his son died]
no subject
So, your world was at war? [Gunsmoke had never seen a war. Well, an official war. There were always family feuds and his own playing a rather large part, but never any war. Still, he remembered what he had learned from Rem during his study of human history.] Six hundred says seems like a very long time for a battle. I can see why it would be something hard to forget.
I hope your home isn't at war anymore.
no subject
no subject
Wait. Aang? The Aang that's here? Blue arrow tattooed Aang? [But he's just a kid! He's met Aang. Really likes him, but it's hard to believe that he ended a hundred year war.
Although, that being true it's probably a good thing. Vash really likes that it seems the war ended without people needing to be killed.]
no subject
[That was unusual. Aang usually utilized that to his advantage if memory serves]
no subject
Er, well, I knew he was really good at that air stuff he does. I just... didn't think it would end a war and such.
no subject
1/?
2/?
3/?
4/4 Done
Then I'm very glad you have such a good kid like Aang with that kind of power. Sounds like he used it very well too.
no subject
[He strokes his beard]
I should make sure he is keeping up with his fire bending.
no subject
But I suppose I owe you another game of Pai Sho for ruining your bath. I'll beat you for sure this time! [No he probably won't.]
no subject
[He gives a grin]
I am sure you will be quite the challenge.
[He pours him a bit of tea as he begins setting up the nearby board. Ginseng tea, pleasant and energizing, also his favourite]
no subject
[Because explaining your plan makes winning easier!]
no subject
[He will just play a teaching game to win by a few points to try and get Vash to learn the game better]
A bit of a tip for you, that is something you announce after the game is done. Not before.
no subject
[To Vash's credit he does remember the rules and strategies that Iroh taught him last time. Not that will keep him from losing, but at least it will be a little more challenging and fun for Iroh.]
no subject
[Oh Vash, you and your silliness.]
Now then, shall we begin?
no subject
I'm ready when you are.
We'll just be general about this since I have never played the game before XD
Your move.
I figured! XD
Ha! I remember last time! I won't fall for that trick again!
no subject
Glad to hear it.
[He continues a pretty standard strategy of securing the area closest to him. A common safe strategy]
no subject
no subject
no subject
It's still only his second time playing so he would have unlikely won even if he gave it his all; so he takes notes on Iroh's moves. When he plays more seriously someday it will be good to learn. He can also appreciate that it's clear Iroh is giving the new player some time to learn and not outright destroying him. Not that he'll ever let on he's guessed Iroh is a lot better player than this.
He takes a small area away from Iroh. A momentary victory he knows, but he grins cheekily as if that area will somehow win him the game.]
Ha! I got you on the run now!
no subject
[Iroh wasn't one to utterly destroy an opponent most of the time. Most of the games he played were close by design, even those against established players. It was part of his more subtle way of playing. It allowed for a closer observation of strategies and what was likely to happen along. For those who were new to the game, it was better to follow along lines that could be grasped without a great deal of study.
He'll consolidate his other areas, in the long run it wouldn't be a game changing move, but it was different at least, and that was the important part, trying new things. Some could prove to work quite well, others not as much. ]

He takes another drink of the tea as he makes a move. It was warming him up nicely.] I have to admit, I've never been a big fan of tea, but you're pretty good at making it.
no subject
Ah, the secret ingredient is love.
[He gives a grin]
no subject
[He grins, joking around of course. He would never fault anyone for trying to spread any idea of love and peace. He moves another piece to try to take over more of the board.]
You're move love brewer.
no subject
[He makes a counter to that move, which should give an indication that it is actually a good one]
I was known as the best tea brewer in Ba Sing Se, the largest city in my world you know.
no subject
[He continues to push forward, trying to continue his board conquering, but tending to leave his pieces a bit scattered.]
Really? No lie? The best in a large city? I'd actually believe that with how good your tea is.
no subject
[It was most unfortunate]
Not just a large city, Ba Sing Se has for many centuries been almost a country in and of itself. It boasts a massive agrarian zone which supports and feeds its entire population, and it would be impossible to walk its entire length in a day.
no subject
And I get to drink the tea of the man who made better than anyone in that city! Who says Luceti doesn't have it's perks?
no subject
Well, I have always thought meeting people from such broad backgrounds and different worlds was a perk. Enjoying time with fascinating individuals is always something to appreciate.

I hope their seventy years of good change.
[He smiles softly as he speaks. Knowing full well that most people only get to see one set of seventy year where he's nearly seen two now himself. He wonders what it must be like, to hear of your world's future and knowing you won't be apart of it.
Then again, he's always believed the future to be blank and is never really sure to think that if anyone came from his future if it really is how the future ends up.]

[He strokes his beard a moment before he makes another move, countering Vash completely.]

Two hundred? Really? I didn't think a hu- ah, person could live that long. Is the Avatar human? Or are they something else?
[The sever conditions and hostilities of Gunsmoke make it hard for anyone to live very long. Yet, hearing that out in some world there is a human who could live so long- he's not sure how he should feel. He knew what it was like to outlive and know you'll outlive all of your friends. He wouldn't wish that on anyone.]
no subject
Ah, a question that has often been discussed. The avatar is most assuredly human, as they die, make mistakes, create families, and live their lives like the rest of us. All avatars will also be reborn in a strict cycle. They are a unique human with talents which no one else possesses, but they are still very much part of the human world. They serve as a bridge to the spirit world as well, to help aid interactions between the two.

[Iroh continues his strategy. Vash would soon find the aggressiveness before was no longer paying off and his tiles were being blocked and rendered inefffective in the face of a unified front.]
no subject
[Vash still wouldn't want the gig. He tries a couple more tries to be an aggressor, but he really needs more support. This tiny little army just wasn't going to cut it, but it was going to take so long to build it up to the size Iroh now has.]

In his room.
In his bed.
There is much uncomfortable silence and outright blank staring. Not again. Why does this keep happening? ... Actually, scratch that thought. He's not even going to try to answer that - he's just going to shut the door now. He might be back as soon as he has a chance to let all this process. Until then? Have a nice day, Vash.]
no subject
At a lack of something to do or say he simply raises his hand in greeting. A shy, awkward laugh escaping as he waves to the boy as he tries to find the words he should say.
Thankfully he doesn't have to say anything as Rudy leaves once again without saying anything. Vash sighs happy he can have a spare moment to think. Just what was he going to say-]
Hiccup!
[Sorry Rudy. That man who was on your bed? Is suddenly now on top of the kitchen table.]
no subject
Rudy nearly jumps when he sees the red cloaked man suddenly appearing on his table. He inhales, clearly startled, and instinctively clutching his shoulder as he tries to calm himself.]
What are you doing in here?
[You had better not be a threat or some burglar, Vash, otherwise he's going for his gun. And that would be bad.]
no subject
Ahhhh- hahahha. To be honest? I don't really-hiccup-
[The rest comes a bit muffled from a closet.]
Know-OH COME ON!
no subject
With a sigh, he'll walk over and open the door. He'll keep his tone firm with the stranger for now.]
You pullin' a fast one here? Or does this always happen for you?
no subject
Only before t he door opens- hiccup! As Rudy opens the door Vash is gone, but once again he hasn't gone too far.
He seems to hover for just a brief moment above Rudy's head then gravity seems to find him once more. Down he comes!]
AHHHHHHHHH!
no subject
WHAM]
Ow--!
[The force alone sends him slamming to the ground with an unceremonious thud to the head for the boy. But that's not the important part here. Because suddenly...! Said red cloaked man was on top of Rudy. Rudy stares.
...
Nope. Vash, you are getting shoved off bro. He's not hesitating and if you don't explain yourself, he will be getting his gun. Which just happens to be in his room too, on the nearby table.]
no subject
I'm sorry!
[And that's the only explanation Rudy will get for the time being as Vash dashes for the nearest sink. Be it the bathroom or kitchen to turn the tap on full blast and start drinking water as quick as he can.
Hopefully Rudy might be able to hold off shooting at him until he can at least drink enough water to get rid of these hiccups.]
no subject
He'll immediately grab his ARM and follow the man out, but he won't be aiming it just yet. But that doesn't mean he isn't wondering what the heck is up with this guy.]
All right, that's enough. Tell me what's going on here.
no subject
In a way it almost did if he didn't get rid of these hiccups! Who knows where he could end up next?! Space?
Vash will finish up using the water in a moment or two, but will Rudy give him that long? Vash doesn't dare stop drinking just yet in case the hiccups aren't completely gone.]
no subject
Rudy takes a few steps closer, calling him out with a firmer voice in an attempt to grab his attention.]
Hey.
no subject
Just a few more gulps!]
no subject
Look. I don't know who you are or what you're doing here, but... [Rudy's posture relaxes slightly, as he raises a palm to his head.] Just tell me you're not another burglar and I'll let you off, all right?
no subject
Oh, please let that be over. I can't drink another sip of water! [He takes a couple deep breaths, trying to get his breathing back to normal. Finally he turns to address Rudy.]
No, I'm not a burglar. Heheh, sorry for bouncing all around. The Malnosso apparently thought it would be interesting to see me teleport every time I- well, I hiccup. I haven't exactly found a way to control it just yet.
no subject
[The last part is repeated with a hint of skepticism. On one hand, the Malnosso really come up with the most off the wall ideas. On the other hand... Rudy can't exactly say he doesn't understand what he's going through. He experienced something similar during his first month here.]
You, um, try holding your breath? ... S'what I'd do.
no subject
[He sighs once more. Now that it seems like they really are gone for the moment.]
Sorry for surprising you like that. The name's Vash.
no subject
[Is it just him or does this guy's voice sound really familiar? Rudy can't quite put his finger on where, but he's sure he must have heard this guy at some point.]
'f anything, sorry I, um, well-- sorry I had this thing out. [He looks down to his ARM, pointed downwards and posture relaxed - indicating he no longer saw Vash a threat.] I've had problems with people tryin' to get into my house lately, see.
no subject
It's my fault coming in unannounced like that! Sorry to hear about people trying to break into your place lately. Seems a strange thing for Luceti. With everything being free it's not like they should have to steal anything.
no subject
[He sighs, sheepishly raising a hand behind his head with a nervous laugh.]
But some newcomers don't seem to realize that, I guess. I mean, just last month, there was that one New Feather and all...
no subject
no subject
[Rudy looks upwards, trying to recall the events in his head.]
Around last month, some guy came to the village declaring himself to be a new ruler. Think his name was Edmundo or something. Either way, he ended up causin' a lot of trouble for everyone...

[There's a defeated sigh. Having smoke bombs tossed into his apartment isn't exactly what most would call a fun day - Rudy included. Even a month later, some leftover traces of smoke could probably be picked up on.]
And sure seems like it, from what I hear. Although some of my friends here had it worse off than I did, honestly.

[He remembers all too well walking in to smoke and shattered objects everywhere.]
Honestly, I'm not even sure why he found it necessary to use one. [Then, his expression darkens as he recalls something.] But from what I've heard, he did end up setting some things on fire for others.
