Has anyone seen a man who… well, looks like a clown? I saw him go into the portal but hasn’t come back yet. Also trying to find Miyabi who may or may not have gone through the portal. She’s a Poncle - really small and wears a butterfly cap. Everyone else that I know of who went in has already come back…
[Filtered from Kefka - 20% hackable]
Oh. And a man named Sabin. His friend doesn’t think he used the portal but is also missing. He’s tall and muscular. With blond hair, blue eyes, and a loud laugh.
[Unfiltered]
If anyone sees them please let me know? How big is this place anyway?
Meryl. I’m going out to the desert for awhile. Don’t worry I’ll be back.
[Yes he’s off to search for the missing in the desert. He knows it’s a mostly fruitless endeavor; but he has to try. Feel free to run into him on his way.]

You're looking for Miyabi as well, Vash-san? I had not heard of the other two who are missing, but perhaps our efforts would be more fruitful if we searched for them together!

Do you have water? [He holds up a large container] I've brought quite a bit, in case it's needed!

Are we taking the tunnels?

(ooc: XD Sorry guys!! I thought people knew that this could take awhile. When I made the post really wasn't expecting people to jump in with me - except for possibly Meryl - so it didn't dawn on me to warn you guys sooner)

[She also suspects that Sabin thing was probably filtered away from Kefka and is madly flipping through her journal to see if she can work out that's the case. No sense in getting the Returners mad at Vash, he only means well.]

[Small pause before she writes again.]
Do you know how to lock posts?
[Written]
I can lock posts?
[Private/Written]
stalwatching every entry I make, there's no way he missed my warning. [Yes, that word was very hurriedly obliterated |D]Yes. I'm going to teach you how. It's just so if you want to keep your entry hidden from anyone in particular, you can do that instead of talking to the entire village.
[Written]
If there are people here like that it would be a helpful skill.
[Private/Written]
[And herein lies some carefully written symbols and coding.]
This is when you want to lock your entry completely.
[More written symbols and coding with a small gap.]
This is when you want to lock your entry to just one or two people. You put their names where the gap is. And along the same lines:
[Even more written symbols slightly different to the last ones with another gap.]
This is when you want to lock your entry away from certain people. You put their names in the gap instead.
You can also lock your replies to people in the same way.
((ooc: actually, locking entries is a bit of an undefined thing, but this was sort of the detailed explanation Nami got so she'll give it to you. |D))
[Private/Written]
Are you feeling any better?
[Private/Written]
[Private/Written]
Oh... um... and... Brook is going to be coming with me. Um. I know he's dead - so... he should be okay in the heat right?
[Private/Written]
He'll be fine. I suggest you don't let him approach the people you find until you've spoken to them, though.
[Private/Written]
I don't know to hope we find someone or not. The desert can be really rough if they got dropped out there.

As for Kefka -the clown-man- I saw him enter the portal too, but I haven't seen him since. I'll watch out for him--and please, be careful. He's probably up to something.
[Filtered from Kefka]
Yes - a friend has warned me about him now. I'll keep my guard up if I see him.

Me and a friend are going to try to search the desert. I know that's like looking for a needle in a haystack... but gotta try right?

(OOC: And there's a thread above you can join and/or one below if you'd like. XD This got bigger than I thought it would!)
[Action]
Of course if a few showed up, he'd be happy for a treat and a bit of entertainment.
He will definitely stick out like a sore thumb to anyone in the desert, he's wearing his signature all black outfit, hat and all. Not exactly appropriate for a desert, but really, heat and cold doesn't bother him all that much and if he wants to leave, he can do so in no time.
He can be found near the barrier in the desert. He's most definitely frowning at the barrier because it is indeed a rather annoying thing and he has yet to find any evidence that this thing has ever been broken much less a way to break it again. He must be looking in the wrong spot.
Bother the demon? He's not looking to be paying attention to anything else, but he will very likely welcome the diversion of humans who can actually speak human tongues showing up.]
[And this thread is open to thread jacking from Meryl, Brook, and Kurtis along with Vash. Violence may occur depending on how it runs, but no characters will die.]
[Action]
[Action]
Already? Are you sure?
[Action]
Ah, but being a skeleton, I don't have any eyes! Yohohoho! Skull joke!
[Action]
He's not moving towards the group or anything, still paying far more attention to the barrier. In fact he's moving towards the east, and then stops.
He can hear the voices slightly in the distance, but they are far enough away to not be worth his notice yet. He's listening to see if they come closer, because then he will need to take notice.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
Does anyone know how Sabin normally dresses?
[Action]
[Action]
And the distances must have been closed enough that he can hear the voices of humans, somewhat, so he's going to abandon what he was doing and instead appear before the group. No weapons are visible for now.]
More humans in the desert? [Well, actually he's now looking at Brook and is unsure what to make of the skeleton with an afro, but Brook's appearance is obviously not bothering him beyond that.] And to think, I was starting to grow bored again.
[Action]
[Action]
No, it wouldn't be.
[Action]
What brings you to the desert?
[Action]
Still, he can't reveal much about his reasonings for being here. If he says it's orders, then they'd want to know whose, and well that is among the things he cannot speak of, no matter how much he'd love that sort of chaos.]
Explorations. Of course, I'm most definitely not going to object to a bit of entertainment. You know what they say about all work and no play...
[And he's smirking, though no sign of his weapons yet to hint at what sort of entertainment he is referring to.]
[Action]
[Oh wait] Ah, though we really should continue our search.
[Action]
[Action]
None of the worthless humans who came here were capable of speaking. [One oinked, one couldn't talk, yeah.] Not that I care about the names of those who amuse me.
[And now his swords do come out. It's a really neat trick in fact, because they appear to have been hidden up his sleeves the way they appear, but the two swords are far too long to have been hidden there.]
But since more have come, you can serve to entertain me.
[Action]
I would not recommend starting a fight. You're facing a Defender of Earth.
[Action]
[Action]
I believe we have vastly different tastes in entertainment, sir.
[Action]
[Action]
They are very sharp. But that just means you won't have to suffer long. And a defender of a useless element? Hah, you are probably as weak as the Flame Champion was.
[And since Vash is the closest, he becomes the target. Being tall and wiry does have an advantage, and this demon is pretty fast on top of that. This isn't any sort of supernatural speed, but if Vash isn't quick at dodging, he will be finding out just how sharp both swords are, since Yuber does hit with both.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
And a gun? Doesn't bother him, he's just going to use one sword to push it off to the side so it can't shoot him, because well, bullets do hurt and all. Other sword is going to indeed slash at Vash.
Yes, he's a horrible cheater with two weapons like that. And to think, he hasn't even pulled out any magic yet.] That is the point.
[And whether Vash is hit or not, he's moving backwards to make it easier to dodge attacks and he's going to starting chanting some magic. It's obvious he's not going to retreat willingly and his idea of amusement is a fight. He's very much craving some bloodshed right now.]
[Action]
You attack us even though we have done nothing to you? [That scares him a lot, actually]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Vash may be tough, but Yuber could be chanting an Omega or even Tera level spell. It's time to fire. Kurtis sends the two fists spiraling toward Yuber, flying on rockets.]
[Action]
And actually, Yuber's spell is a pretty weak one, one that looks far more powerful than it really is. And no, Vash's random question there doesn't stop the chanting, he can wait to answer the question.
Interestingly, he is quite capable of dodging even while using magic. Though one of those fists does graze him, but yet that still doesn't interrupt the casting. Or even look to have hurt him much.
He'll bring his two swords together and the effect will look much like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2xUgCPHbvA#t=10m0s") (and if you watch further, the teleport is in this video too). It's definitely very pretty, though lightning does tend to hurt a bit. It's not impossible to dodge at least.]
The others? They live, unfortunately.
[And since LJ is being stupid, probably should try to end this soon, just need one thing, the group being somewhat close to each other.]
[Action]
[Action]
[And then he realizes he forgot about Kurtis] Kurtis-san!
[Action]
[He runs toward the others, but he's still hit by a couple of balls of lightening, and he's knocked to the ground near Brook.]
[Action]
And they all got so nicely close to each other that this might just work. The demon is going to come at them with his swords making it look like he's going to attack, but instead the sand beneath them ripples much like water.
And the moment he's in there with them, they will all sink into it and that will bring them just above the lake, as agreed previously.
Yuber, however, quickly uses another teleport and is away from the lake before everyone falls in, and unlike the last time he did this, he's going to teleport into the forest out of sight.
This should do nicely, a bit of chaos of these people getting hurt and a swim in the cold lake, but they were hurt enough to know that he's a danger.
And that meant more would come that he could amuse himself with.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Where DID the lake come from? Unfortunately between panic and surprise, Brook isn't able to react fast enough to just run across the water]
[Splash. Glub. Oh right - Devil Fruits stink for situations like this]
[Action]
[No! He's falling! Could this be the end?
[But wait, there's a lake below. He was saved. He gives a sigh of relief as he hits the water.]
[Action] Shit I don't have her freak out face anymore.
[ And she's screaming right along with the rest of them, though she'll be covering her ears with her hands so Vash doesn't deafen her. ]
[Action] You'll have to get it back now that you have a Vash to annoy you ~_^
[Action]
[It is very disconcerting to not be able to move. More so the be drowning when you don't have any lungs. OH HEY VASH. Yeah, you're his best friend now :D]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[And Kurtis will be swimming toward her to help her out. He's a good swimmer, Prinnies are similar to penguins, after all.]
[Action]
[... Oh right] Yohohoho! Though I am already one!
[Looking over at Meryl now] Oh, can you not swim, Meryl-san?
[Action]
[Action]
NO, WHAT GAVE YOU THAT IDEA?!
[Action]
Kick your legs.
[Action]
[Now that Kurtis has Meryl, the swim to shore should be easier for Vash. Brook is just bones after all, so he's light enough]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
It never stays quiet for long here, that's for sure.
