Has anyone seen a man who… well, looks like a clown? I saw him go into the portal but hasn’t come back yet. Also trying to find Miyabi who may or may not have gone through the portal. She’s a Poncle - really small and wears a butterfly cap. Everyone else that I know of who went in has already come back…

Oh. And a man named Sabin. His friend doesn’t think he used the portal but is also missing. He’s tall and muscular. With blond hair, blue eyes, and a loud laugh.

[JAIgheahea GAH! Where’d he from come?! Well now that the distance is closed it doesn’t LOOK like there is much muscle hiding under his clothes… but still - better safe than sorry!] You’re name wouldn’t happen to be Sabin would it?

[He's going to look up at the group, and it will be a bit more obvious that this man is also not exactly human.]

What brings you to the desert?

[Except this one is very decidedly unfriendly. And interestingly, Kutis doesn't much faze him either, though that coloring is strange.

Still, he can't reveal much about his reasonings for being here. If he says it's orders, then they'd want to know whose, and well that is among the things he cannot speak of, no matter how much he'd love that sort of chaos.]

Explorations. Of course, I'm most definitely not going to object to a bit of entertainment. You know what they say about all work and no play...

[And he's smirking, though no sign of his weapons yet to hint at what sort of entertainment he is referring to.]

Well of course! Work can be a very tiresome thing after all. Funny you should mention entertainment though - I happen to be a musician! Would you care for a tune?

[Psh. Humans are over rated. Oh… sorry Meryl. And besides - they never said if Sabin was human or not and ONE of your eyes looked blue so it was worth a shot. Vash gives a small nod at Brook’s comment] Yes. We’re looking for some people. Have you seen a Poncle? It’s kinda like a fairy I think. Really tiny, she wears a butterfly cap and her name is Miyabi. We’re also looking for a guy named Sabin who has blond hair, blue eyes, very muscular, and a loud laugh. And a… uh… well… Clown man. But his name is Kefka and he could be dangerous. [And while you’re unfriendliness is putting Vash on slight alert. He isn’t too worried yet. Entertainment is very important after all!]

[Good Vash, very good instincts there. Because this demon's idea of entertainment is shedding your blood.]

None of the worthless humans who came here were capable of speaking. [One oinked, one couldn't talk, yeah.] Not that I care about the names of those who amuse me.

[And now his swords do come out. It's a really neat trick in fact, because they appear to have been hidden up his sleeves the way they appear, but the two swords are far too long to have been hidden there.]

But since more have come, you can serve to entertain me.

[Kurtis reaches into his fanny pack and pulls out a pair of blue gauntlets, clearly made for human hands.]

I would not recommend starting a fight. You're facing a Defender of Earth.

[ Meryl is keeping quiet, for right now, wondering just how Vash's luck of doing good and receiving bad has followed him to an entirely different dimension. Still, she has her hands ready to snatch up her derringers, just in case. ]

[Brook squeaks and is then oddly quiet for several seconds. He draws his sword from his cane.]

I believe we have vastly different tastes in entertainment, sir.

[Vash’s hands stay limp at his side - only move just slightly closer to the gun hidden in his coat. Don’t be fooled he can draw faster than someone can blink and right now he’d like to try to end this without fighting. He moves forward slightly - out of what he believes is the rang those swords can swing but trying to make himself the closest target. He laughs nervously.] Hey now! Careful! Those things look sharp!!

[The objections just make this even more amusing. Though now he's thinking Kurtis is just a bag of hot air like most people of that sort he's dealt with. Or else he might be the most interesting of the group, though what is a Defender of the Earth? Is that something like the Flame Champion? If so, then he's going to be the main target.]

They are very sharp. But that just means you won't have to suffer long. And a defender of a useless element? Hah, you are probably as weak as the Flame Champion was.

[And since Vash is the closest, he becomes the target. Being tall and wiry does have an advantage, and this demon is pretty fast on top of that. This isn't any sort of supernatural speed, but if Vash isn't quick at dodging, he will be finding out just how sharp both swords are, since Yuber does hit with both.]

[Good at dodging? Vash is the king of dodging. Hell, he’s been known to use it as an excuse to dance with pretty girls. And there might be a gun coming to rest just inches from your face when he’s done.] Do you think we could maybe discuss this without the sharp toys? Someone could get hurt… Like me!

[Kurtis is used to fighting those with impossible speed, and he's get his gauntlets aimed and ready to fire, but he holds back, sensing that Vash is capable of handling the situation on his own, and that he doesn't want to turn this into a fight just yet.]

[And Yuber's very used to being sorely outnumbered. He's a demon who is summoned to fight in wars after all.

And a gun? Doesn't bother him, he's just going to use one sword to push it off to the side so it can't shoot him, because well, bullets do hurt and all. Other sword is going to indeed slash at Vash.

Yes, he's a horrible cheater with two weapons like that. And to think, he hasn't even pulled out any magic yet.] That is the point.

[And whether Vash is hit or not, he's moving backwards to make it easier to dodge attacks and he's going to starting chanting some magic. It's obvious he's not going to retreat willingly and his idea of amusement is a fight. He's very much craving some bloodshed right now.]

[It's a good thing Yuber isn't the only swordsman around here with extraordinary speed then. Brook blocks the attack meant for Vash with his cane sword.]

You attack us even though we have done nothing to you? [That scares him a lot, actually]

[Well, damn, trying to scare him into not fighting didn’t work. Not that he really thought it would but it was worth a shot. Vash uses Brook’s helpful block to jump back and try to shoot the other sword - hoping to break it before he can swing it at Brook. That… chanting doesn’t sound good. Uh- maybe he’ll answer a question and STOP IT?] What happened to the other people you saw!!

[ Meryl pulls out one of her derringers and aims it at Yuber the moment he attacks Vash. She's glad for his ability to dodge. It means he's okay, and that she doesn't have to shoot. She knows she can't fire without a deep guilt, but she will if she has to. She tries to keep her aim as the others bustle around. ]

Damn! He's using magic!

[Vash may be tough, but Yuber could be chanting an Omega or even Tera level spell. It's time to fire. Kurtis sends the two fists spiraling toward Yuber, flying on rockets.]

[LJ notifications, you suck by the way.

And actually, Yuber's spell is a pretty weak one, one that looks far more powerful than it really is. And no, Vash's random question there doesn't stop the chanting, he can wait to answer the question.

Interestingly, he is quite capable of dodging even while using magic. Though one of those fists does graze him, but yet that still doesn't interrupt the casting. Or even look to have hurt him much.

It's definitely very pretty, though lightning does tend to hurt a bit. It's not impossible to dodge at least.]

The others? They live, unfortunately.

[And since LJ is being stupid, probably should try to end this soon, just need one thing, the group being somewhat close to each other.]

[Well this might help! That lightening doesn’t look good. Sorry Meryl but he’s a bit protective when it comes to supernatural stuff right now. He’s grabbing you to make sure you’re out of the way.] LOOK OUT!

[Vash, if you're protecting Meryl, someone has to look out for you. He doesn't like the look of that attack either, and makes sure he's in front of the both of you since lightning doesn't effect his body as much as it would someone with flesh.]

[And then he realizes he forgot about Kurtis] Kurtis-san!

[The fists are set to automatically float back to Kurtis, using a secondary booster. But he's not watching them, now, he's much more worried about the lightening.]

[He runs toward the others, but he's still hit by a couple of balls of lightening, and he's knocked to the ground near Brook.]

[And Yuber pretty much has decided that another form of chaos will be far more amusing for this time.

And they all got so nicely close to each other that this might just work. The demon is going to come at them with his swords making it look like he's going to attack, but instead the sand beneath them ripples much like water.

And the moment he's in there with them, they will all sink into it and that will bring them just above the lake, as agreed previously.

Yuber, however, quickly uses another teleport and is away from the lake before everyone falls in, and unlike the last time he did this, he's going to teleport into the forest out of sight.

This should do nicely, a bit of chaos of these people getting hurt and a swim in the cold lake, but they were hurt enough to know that he's a danger.

And that meant more would come that he could amuse himself with.]

[ Meryl yelps and flails her arms. Oh JESUS WHAT GIVE HER SOME WARNING VASH! ]
