[This early morning the journals are treated to a sight, although it's not exactly a good sight. It's Vash standing in front of the mirror in his room inspecting his wings. Those who know Vash may or not be shocked by his horrible looking scars, as he stands wearing nothing but his pajama pants, but there is something different about him this morning. And it just might be-

A CAT'S FACE!

No, that's just a nearly grown Donut pawing lightly at the page of the journal. Eventually the young cat gets bored and jumps down to go rub himself up against Vash's leg. Vash, however, is far too busy inspecting the new bottom row of red feathers he's seemed to have gotten overnight to notice.]

Huh, that's different. I wonder if it will stay like that.

[Hm? Owner not paying attention to you when hungry? Donut does what his momma taught him. He reaches up and digs his claws into Vash's leg.]

OWWWWWWW! OW! ACK! STOP! STOP!

[He'll only notice that his journal is open when someone tries to get his attention or when he heads out for the day. For those that would like to run into Vash today he'll be headed out from House 5 and wandering the woods most of the day. He's out looking for Wolfwood, Milly, and any New Feathers who may be lost out there. He will take a break at some point in the day for some lunch at Seventh Heaven so can be found around the square then.]

By screaming louder. And then throwing his gun at the journal. Don't worry, the safety is on.]

[The obvious solution to this? Raise his voice as well]

I SAID SHUT UP, NOT SCREAM LOUDER. [He turns to the journal now, though the view is soon full of gun, and then ceiling when it falls to the floor with the pages still exposed]

BUT I'M-OW! STOP THAT! THAT HURT! OW!

... Vash, what the hell are you doing? [Because it sounds like you're being attacked.]

AHHHHHHHHHHH! DON'T BITE THERE!

-- Oi oi. What are you... [Don't make him come over there, mister]

[Give him a minute Sanji. His manhood is literally under attack.]

MERCY! MERCY! MERCY! LET GO! I'LL GET YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT! JUST LETGO! [But Donut doesn't like the attempt to be forced off. So he keeps clinging. Maybe he can walk to the kitchen with the cat on his leg.] OWOWOWOW!

[Fine, apparently Sanji needs to do this the hard way... or the way that involves climbing out of his bedroom window and sneaking over to your house. It takes less than a minute given their close proximity, and when he unceremoniously opens the window--]

Oi, Va--

...

[Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffft.]

[Oh, it's Sanji. Sanji is at least a man, so worrying more about those claws that are getting awfully close to puncturing sensitive areas than his scars.]

DON'T JUST STAND THERE LAUGHING! HELP ME! DON'T YOU HAVE ANY TUNA OR SOMETHING!? [Because, you know, all chefs carry a can of tuna in their back pocket.]

[Vash gets his answer, between gasps of air as Sanji laughs himself short of breath]

W-why the hell would I have tuna?! [LOOK AT HOW MUCH HELP HE IS]

I DON'T KNOW! JUST - GO GET SOME FOOD FROM THE KITCHEN OR SO-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! OWOWOWOWOW!

[He goes -- laughing the entire way. Lucky for Vash, there's plenty of tuna in his house's fridge, so Sanji pops open a can and returns triumphant. And smirking]

Neh, Kitty-chan~! [Look what he has *_*]

[Is that...

TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNA! Donut lets go of Vash's leg and goes running up to Sanji. Look out Sanji, as there's more than one cat in this house and suddenly Kuroneko is coming out of no where. There is TUNA!

If you don't put that down soon you're going to have TWO cats climbing up your leg as Vash works on getting back to his feet.]

[Woah where did the one in the back come from? Luckily, Pumpkin has trained Sanji well. He puts the can on the floor a foot away from him and eases away from the carnage]

[FOOD! The two cats make a beeline for the tuna and start cowing down.

Vash meanwhile is inspecting the claw marks in his pants.] Oh man, and these were my good pair too.

[Sanji notes the damage himself, even offering a wince of sympathy]

What did you do, slather your pants in shitty tuna?

No, I was just a little late on feeding him. I was a little distracted this morning. My wings changed color a little.

Tch, no wonder he attacked you.

[His gaze shifts to Vash's back] They did?

Yeah, not all of them. Just the bottom few. [He turns, not feeling as shy about a close guy friend seeing his scars.] See, the bottom ones are red now.

[Luceti has trained him to treat change as excuses for experiments. The wings gather narrowed suspicion.]

Do you know if that's normal?

Well, I don't know about normal, but I have heard of other people's wing color changing now and then. Nothing else goes wrong, so I think I'm not going to worry about it.

[A sigh] It can't be helped, I guess. [Absently, he picks up Vash's fallen journal, carefully closing it and tossing it on his desk.]

But you better hope your cat forgives you.

Are you kidding? He got tuna instead of his usual dry food. He's already forgotten all about his late breakfast I bet.
