[The house was quiet when Vash woke up, he sat up with a yawn and brushed his hand through his hair.] It's good Noah is finally sleeping better through the night. [Being a light sleeper was a habit he still hadn't kicked yet, a baby in the house never really helped either.
He shuffled out of his room to start the coffee. If there's one rule in the Trigun house was first person up made coffee. As it started to warm up Vash decided to grab a quick shower before the smell of fresh coffee began to wake people up.
It was when he got out of the shower and still no one was up that he began to get worried. He tried to tell himself he was worrying over nothing and poured himself a cup, but didn't drink it. There was just something that didn't feel right.
The first door he pushed open was Amelia's, hoping to be greeted with a kick, a smack, or even gun fire.] Amelia-chan, there's fresh coffee. [Only the room was empty. Blank walls and a bed that looked as if it was never slept it. It was alright, she was young and it was good for her to be out of here. He just hated that he'd have to break the news to people. Best to start with the Wolfwood's.]
Milly, Wolfwood? You two up? [It was a worse shock to him to open that door and find all three of the Wolfwood's gone too. For a moment Vash just stands for a minute, unable to believe that his entire family was gone in just one night, then it clicks - everyone was gone.]
[He rushes into the room, the crib was indeed empty. No amount of staring was bringing the child back. Wolfwood was dead and Noah had no where else to go. Luceti was his home. His mind was racing, trying to think of anything at all that he could do, coming up with nothing. He couldn't even really remember going into his room and grabbing his journal.]
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH NOAH?! I know someone from the Malnosso must be listening to this! He had no home to go back to! What have you done!? Give him to me! I can care for him! If you dare lay one FINGER on him in anyway way I'll be sure you regret it. [He's not sure how yet mind, but he's done playing any sort of nice now.] Give. Him. BACK!
[He doesn't know what else to do. Anyone near House Five can probably hear the sounds of crashing once in awhile. Although Vash doesn't stay there for very much longer. Anyone who goes in to inspect the place before the house fixes itself will find several large holes the size of a fist in many of the walls, a coffee pot still full, and in his room several smashed snow globes, flowers, and even his red coat.
Eventually towards evening when he's a bit more calm he'll leave a message for anyone who didn't understand his earlier angry shouting.]
For those who knew them, Wolfwood, Milly, and Amelia have all been returned home.

Your Noah is probably fine! [He has no idea who Noah is, let alone that he's a baby.]
We don't really know what happens to kids here when they vanish.
Surely those idiots would have thought to send the child home with them. [He's hoping, at least.] How old is the boy?
...he's not even a year old yet.
Then why are you standing around?! Go find him! He can't even defend himself, what if they're experimenting on him now?! [He looks down with grinding teeth, shaking with fury.] Darn them, I'll destroy them all myself if they show their faces around here!
[He's pretty upset, a little angry at Vash for not taking to the search immediately, but more angry at the Malnosso. He knows there's probably nothing Vash can do, but that doesn't stop his temper from going off at the matter.]
Do you think I want to be stuck here doing nothing!? How long have you been here?! I've tried everything I know of to get through that barrier and not a thing has worked! [Well... except ONE thing. Maybe it's time to try that. He hadn't tried before, what if he couldn't control it enough to keep it from harming everything around him.
His voice goes low. Damaging the surrounding area doesn't seem like such a risk anymore.]
I don't know how, but I'm getting him back. Somehow.
Long enough to know those clowns don't deserve to eat the dirt from under our boots! They think they can hold us here for as long as they want, but that will change one day. [Does he know how? Nope. But he'll try. He's a pretty determined guy when he sets his mind to something.]
If you manage to figure it out before I do, let me know; I'd like a crack at them myself. I would gladly take each and every Malnosso to their graves for this. [He gets kinda straight-faced serious here.] You're not the only one here with a family, you know. [Not in Luceti, mind you, but he's assuming Vash is smart enough to know what he means.]
All I can say is those who got to leave are quite the lucky ones, now aren't they. But as for the child...[He sighs, not really being good at this kind of thing-] if there is truly nothing you can do at the moment then I would suggest at least contacting the fools who took him. If no one else knows where children go, then they would be the next best thing, I would think.
And as for the others being lucky to go home? Saying one of them is dead isn't going to make him feel any better either. Vegeta can be in the dark about that part.]
How absurd. Pictures. And you mean to tell me that they are only considering those options? That makes me sick. Is that really all the information they gave you?
Before I go, let me have your name.

Well, the answer is no, you wouldn't. We ran it through our system and you came up as a negative. Point of fact, it was determined Noah wasn't a good fit for Luceti at all. So once his parents decided to abandon him, we stepped in.
Now don't you worry about Noah, because he's been placed with foster parents. Responsible foster parents. Ones that won't up and vanish once a little Shifting get finicky and causes them to vanish. No, these parents will look after him and be there for the rest of his life. Which is more than we can say for most of you Luceti folk.
Cherish the memories while you can. After all, you're the only one from his world who will ever know he exists. Until you find your way home too, anyway. So long!

I can take care of him! Give him back to me!

I'm his Godfather, his parents trusted me to take care of him and that's what I'll do!

What if I ran missions for you? To cover this "therapy". [That he highly doubts that you'd offer the kid anyway.] Or any other bill you may want to think of.

You can do that! You took him, you can bring him back!

Pleasure talking to you.
[The feed ends here.]

HEY! I wasn't done talking to you yet! GET BACK HERE! [Deep down he knows yelling won't get him anywhere, but he'll spend a few more moments in vain trying to get anyone's attention again. What else can he do?]

They'd only take Noah if the parents had left -- and that means Milly-chan has gone home, and Wolf--
Just like that, an entire family wiped out of existence.
... No, he can't deal with this right now. The thought freezes in place before rage or grief has a chance to set in, and so the chef goes through part of his day with minimal hiccups save the growing anxiety in the back of his mind.
He's fine until about midday.]
... All four of 'em are gone? [His voice sounds distant]
[Voice]
All of them. Wolfwood left you something. I'll drop it off a bit later.
[Voice]
... Restaurant or at the house?
[Voice]
[Voice]
Seventh Heaven.
[Voice]
[It takes a few minutes, as he had to swing by the house to grab it still, but he eventually turns up to Seventh Heaven. His large travel bag slung over his shoulder, his long hair down around his face, and dressed in a heavy black jacket and jeans. When he enters he swings the bag off his shoulder to pull out the box that had Sanji's name on it in Wolfwood's handwriting before heading back towards the kitchen to find the chef.]
I'm sorry, Sanji. [He knew you two were very close friends as well.] I didn't look in it.
[Action] 1/3
A cigarette box? Really, Wolf? You left him your private stash as a final goodbye.
Heh, but it's fitting, and such an offhanded sort of gift makes it easier to form his lips into a halfhearted smile. He takes it, flipping the top open.
... It's not cigarettes he finds, but pictures. All of them completely unfamiliar until Sanji squints to get a good look at the subjects: him, Wolf, and Leo posing for the camera... "Uncle" Law, along with Katara, Sokka, Zoro... A picture of him with Nami and their girls, and Chouji, during the mikan festival. Brook. Ginko. Many more. More than he's willing to count right now.
Their family that didn't really exist.]

[Action]
Thanks. [Said stiffly. And feeling like a selfish bastard because he's too numb to offer Vash anything more than his back right now] For bringin' it over.
[Action]
It's all right.
[A pause, as he really doesn't want to pester the chef, but-] Do you have any spare canned food? Or any jerky that's handy?
[Action]
A hand is planted firmly against his forehead, a deep sigh taken. Calm down, chef.]
Who's it for? You? ... You know I'd rather just make you something.
[Action]
[Action]
Take as many as you need.
[Action]
[Action]
Today is different.] Stay in touch. [It's all he can offer. The words "I'm sorry" won't even touch his lips - they'd ring hollow and empty anyway]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action] bahaha I said I would so here I am (yea)
[Action] yes excellent 8D
God, Zeff would have his ass for such inattentiveness.
He doesn't hear the door open; that would require he remove himself from the safety of his numbed thoughts, and he's not sure he's ready for it]
[Action]
Maybe.
Maybe not.
She doesn't say anything. But after a moment, there's a gentle hand on Sanji's sleeve. A soft touch and tug to get his attention.]
[Action]
When he turns and sees that it's Nami, he has the sense to relax, fixing her with a slow, tired smile. He doesn't say anything - he doesn't think he needs to. There's only one reason she'd be here, and so sees little reason to start acting like everything's okay]
[Action]
There's nothing at all she can say that will help, and so she doesn't. The only thing she can do is be there for him the way he was when Bellemere-san left-- movement slow and a little careful, her arms curl around his waist gently.
Offering comfort for once, instead of taking it.]
[Action] 1/2
He wishes, a little selfishly, that she hadn't gone that far, no matter if he was waiting for it. Hugs have a way of unraveling what little control a person has. And he thinks about standing still, just letting her do the work this time. He's numb enough to consider it for a few seconds.
Then he feels his face contort, twisted into a moment's worth of frustrated misery, and maybe he doesn't hug her back yet, but he does lean some of his weight against hers, head drooping until he can feel some of her wayward hairs brush his cheek. Lets out a wet, shuddering sigh.]
[Action]
[Action]
She feels the dampness on her shoulder and says nothing; just curls one arm up higher on his back, fingers resting between his shoulderblades, and hugs him close.
She's sorry, Sanji-kun.]
no subject
When she finally hears it, it's before his calmer post, but not by much. Nami's combing the village looking for him-- from the house to out by the place they found him when Rem had gone home. Anywhere she can think of to look.
If she doesn't find him, then she'll address him on the journal. But she doesn't...really want to just leave a message. Not with things the way they are between them.]
no subject
Currently he's helping himself to a couple bottles of whiskey and stuffing them into his bag as well.]
no subject
...Vash.
no subject
I think Sanji may be taking a bit hard...
no subject
Damn! XD should have saved this icon!
He's not very sure how to react. He doesn't even bring his arms up to return the hug. Instead their stuck somewhere in between.]
I'm alright.
[Lie. But at least saying something felt a little right as his brain finally remembers how to return a hug. Although it's limp, ready to let her go when she wants to pull back.]
WELP. No crime in using it again!
Nami isn't calling him on it.
She's still angry at him, deep down inside. It's an anger that has no place here and she has firmly squashed it down, because Vash. Still a friend, after all that, and she knows Wolfwood is dead. And Noah--
--she doesn't want to yell at him. About anything. Least of all the fact he's lying.
So she just keeps hugging.]
THERE COULD BE!!!!
Amelia will be alright.
[It took a bit, but he finally found something he could say that didn't hurt.]
BUT THERE ISN'T!!
Just Amelia? [Quiet.] What about Milly?
YOU DON'T KNOW THAT!
Has anyone tried arresting you?
...then there's the child. She knows Vash well enough to work out what he'll try to do now. And really, she can't blame him.]
There are missions and drafts that take us to other enclosures. We can look for him.
[She doesn't mean Wolfwood.]
Yeah, I hid under the bed
Let alone take him back. [Knowing the kid is safe would be nice, but the ultimate goal is to get Noah back.]
Good plan.

[ She practically wails the word. Wolfwood... she'd known him such a long time. Cared about him so much... he'd offered her a family when she'd believed, however briefly, she had none. Done a lot for her over the years. And he and his son are gone... ]

[Short replies. It helps to keep him from letting his anger out at the wrong people.]

No real clues, they just seem to think they've placed him with a foster family that is more permanent.
[voice -- attempted filter]
Keep my eyes and ears open, shall I?
[Because for a man who wants a family, this is about the most horrifying news ever. And he truly feels for Vash. That niggling compassion that has grown ever since he landed in Luceti.]
Lad -- I'm sorry. About Wolfwood.
[voice -- attempted filter]
[And then a pause.]
Yeah, me too.
