[Vash has been very busy the last couple days since returning from the past. He'd been pouring over his journal. Reading what had been changed and what hadn't. It also took him a day to really get up the courage to ask. What if things had changed so much that Noah no longer existed?

Early morning on Monday he opens his journal.]

Who do I need to speak with about kids who have been removed from Luceti? And about getting them back? I want to know more about Noah Wolfwood.

[Please. Please don't tell him that he's no longer there. He's hoping that now things have changed (for the better it seems) he's hoping maybe he could now get the boy back.

While he waits for someone to see his question and respond Vash will be trying to get his life into a somewhat normal routine again. Visiting Seventh Heaven to do his job of helping out there for the morning. For lunch he'll be stopping by the bakery for his normal doughnut haul and eating them while people watching near the fountain. Later in the day he'll also be working at the flower shop. He'll also take a wander through the forest to see if anything had changed very much before he ends his night at Good Spirits for a couple drinks before bed.]

[ Oh, Vash? Haruhi waves at hime when he walks into Good Spirits. There is clearly nothing too odd about that. ]

You mean the ones born in Luceti?

[Vash smiles softly and returns his own casual wave at Haruhi when he first enters the bar.]

Hello there, Haruhi! Nice-

[WAIT A MINUTE HERE!]

[Vash breaks out into a giant smile and even a slight happy laugh.] Haruhi! It's so great to see you again, Chief!

[He ducks his head slightly in embarrassment, but can't get the smile off his face.] Ah, except for the circumstances for why I get to see you again.

How have you been? Do you remember very much about this place?

[That... had not been a voice Vash had heard in Luceti in a very long time. While he and Cloud had never talked much, Vash's idyllic memory brought the name and face into his mind almost immediately.]

Yes, I do. Very good friends of mine had a child while they were here and the Mal-- [Is that right? That organization isn't around like it had been anymore.] --nosso took him from me. [Even if that wasn't right anymore, it was the only word he really knew to explain it at the moment.] Some things have changed and I'm hoping to get him back again.

Of course I remember! I probably know more than you!

[ But to see her again. Jeez, Vash can be embarrassing sometimes but he shouldn't make it sound like that. She motions for him to come and get a seat next to her. Come on, they can talk or whatever ]

Hahah! Of course you probably know so much more than me! Always have!

[He slides up easily to the bar. Ordering himself a drink as he smiles at her.] How have you been! Do you think you'll start up the club again? Afraid there's not too many members left! Unless they've come back too! It's really GREAT to see you again!

What are you talking about?! Sure there's not that many in Luceti now, but the SOS-Brigade still exists. [ This is starting to feel familiar. All the same, all these people with flawed memories is frustrating. It reminds of her... well when she went home and experienced Christmas at North High, only to come back with everyone's memories different. At least this one isn't only about her.

She's got a drink already, something fruity. ] When would it ever stop existing?

I dunno. That's a pretty good point! The SOS-Bridage isn't about clubs and people! It's about the spirit and the spirit lives forever!

Precisely! It's going to last as long as it takes for the Organization to work out how to get everyone home.

[Vash nods.] And even beyond that too! The spirit of the SOS Brigade lasts forever! [His drink arrives and Vash thrusts it into the air.] To the spirit of the Brigade!

[ And beyond. She's never really thought that hard about beyond. Not that long. She's been here so long... Still, she raises her glass too ] Sure, and beyond! To my SOS-Brigade!

[With a happy cry he chugs down his whole drink before slamming down the glass with a loud sigh.] Oh man! I needed that!

[ Wow. She is refined, thank you! She just finishes what's left of her glass it was mostly done anyway. She laughs at that though, clapping Vash on the back ]

It seems like just everyone is coming back lately, doesn't it?

[Yeah damn, that's a horrible thing to happen. Especially the Malnosso taking the kid; Cloud probably would've torn shit up until he found him, if he were in this guy's position.

But -and Cloud doesn't voice it because this would be even worse- Cloud concerned that if the past really was changed, there's a possibility that the baby wasn't ever actually born.] I'm guessing we don't have any kind of official liaison we can talk to about this? If the company's supposedly decent now.

[Cloud doesn't need to voice it. It's been one of the biggest things on Vash's mind right now.]

We did for a little while... but I think she got fired? Ran away? Something. But that was of course before things changed. So I'm hoping to hear some good news this time.

Ah, hahaha. [Vash reaches back and rubs at his neck. Smiling and laughing in mild embarrassment.] Have they? Ah, well, I actually hadn't really noticed. I've been a bit... busy lately. [He'd rather not change the happy environment at the moment to give specifics.]

[The bakery seems more bustling with activity than usual. In fact, there's a lot more to show then there has been for a long time. As if a bunch of old bakery workers have suddenly turned up...

Aang is taking a break at the moment, leaning against the counter and eating a cookie when Vash enters. When he sees Vash, he waves happily to him.]

Good afternoon, Vash! [He's also sporting some hair on his chin which grew in the latter part of their time traveling expedition.] Come right in, and take your pick!

[Vash can't help but to grin when he sees Aang's happy grin. He waves back with just as much energy.] Don't mind if I do! [And of course the first thing he reaches for is the freshest looking donut. Cramming it into his mouth, chewing it in one bite, and swallowing with a large sigh.] Ahh! That was super tasty! Just what I needed! [He grabs for a second one. Eating this one a bit more slowly. Taking a whole three bites before it'll be completely gone.

He rubs a finger at his chin and gives Aang a cheeky little grin.] I see you're going a little something there. Trying to impress someone?

Great! [Aang cheers him on as the poor doughut is viciously devoured. Then he looks nervous as Vash calls him out.]

What, me? No! No... impressing going on here! I just... [He rubs at his chin subconsciously.] ...wondered what it'd be like!

[Vash whimpers loudly as he brushes an invisible tear from his eye.] Our little Aang! Growing up and growing a beard! [Sniffle.] Time moves too quickly! [Says the nearly 140 year old who doesn't age at all.]

Yeah, yeah, that mission thing. Still, open your eyes tomorrow and you'll probably notice it.

[ She waves a hand dismissively ] There's a lot more people here than there's been in a long time.

[With that, Vash knows for sure that Haruhi thinks she has been here the whole time.] Yeah? Then I'd better start paying more attention! I'd hate missing out seeing an old friend again just because I wasn't paying attention.

[Here's a face Vash wouldn't have seen for a while! One of the other bakery regulars from way back when has just wandered in, following his nose to delicious smells.]

[When he spots Vash, he does a slight double-take, then breaks out into a grin.] Vash! Hi!
