[Vash can be found today fairly deep in the woods. He went out that far in order to not be disturbed, but like that really matters in a place like Luceti. He’s rigged up a target on a rope that he’s run through several of the branches so that he can stand at the far end and yank on the rope and have the target swing down.

He stands with his left hand holding the rope; body relaxed. Then he pulls hard on it, drawing his gun from its holster and fires four rapid shots at the swinging target. He stands and watches the target sway back and forth for a minute. He doesn’t look very pleased before walking over to it and getting a closer look.

All four shots hit the target, each fairly close to the center. The closest is a thumb's length away, but he still doesn't look very happy.] Damn… it’s not good enough.

[He doesn't really like to talk about it; but to warn people about Yuber... he sighs.] I suppose.

The dying part. Can you describe the experience to me? [There's a bit more than mere morbid curiosity behind it, though perhaps there's a better way to phrase the question.]

[So he expected something like - what kind of powers does Yuber had? Why did you fight him? Did you injure him? Something along those lines. So this question really throws him.] The… dying?

[He's asked most of the questions he'd want answered about Yuber already.] Yes, you heard me.

[He doesn’t even like thinking about this so talking is even harder.] Well… [Long pause] I guess… my body just felt heavy and I felt really tired. It’s… pretty hazy really. Next thing I remember was waking up in the forest.

[He nods, eyes running along Vash's figure appraisingly.] So you weren't conscious at all during the part in-between? No out of body experience, no big white light?

[Shuts his eyes thoughtfully.] Not that I can remember... clearly; but a week passed. Something must have happened. [He might have seen something; but honestly it was such a traumatic experience he can't say for sure.]

[He nods, even though Vash's report is visibly troubling him.] ..I see. Thank you anyway for trying.

[Vash opens his eyes.] There… might have been something, but I don’t know if it was a dream or even something the Malnosso wanted me to think I saw.

[And now Vash has his full attention again.] Mr. Vash, even if it's nothing, it could be important. What did you see?

[Quiet for a long time.] I… I think I saw someone who died a long time ago… and she was very sad.

The afterlife can be like that for some. [He murmurs softly, nodding.] Were you trying to go with her?

I can't... remember, just that she said that it would be alright.

[He nods faintly.] It will be. Once we're out of here.
