[Vash has been walking out in the woods more so than normal the past few days. Keeping his eyes open for a certain short insurance girl as he walks. Although he's disappointed once again in his search his eyes have noticed something else in the woods today. So amazing that he can't help but to talk out loud to himself.]

Huh, the trees are already starting to change color again? I guess that means it's almost time for fall again. Time sure does fly sometimes.

[Speaking of time flying, that reminds him of something. So he pulls his journal out of his pocket and makes a voice recording.]

Hey there everyone! I have a very important announcement today! It's Milly's birthday on the 24th so make sure to wish her a happy one then! Oh, and she likes pudding, so I'm sure she'd love it if you happen to stop by with some. [Poor Milly, her best friend is missing and her boyfriend is too young to really remember her for her birthday.] She could use some cheering up, so please try to remember.

[And to keep his thoughts from being too sad.]

And if you just so happen to bring some donuts by with you if you visit that would be great too!

[With that said Vash will wander the forest for a little while longer before he gives up the search for the day. He has a few places to go today. Like hitting Seventh Heaven for some lunch. From there he'll visit the flower shop and bakery before hitting the grocery shop to pick up groceries on his way home. Later that night when little kids should be in bed he'll make a stop to Good Spirits.]

Yeah. [Dead mommas unite, Vash. Still, she doesn't speak again until she's ordered another drink, swirling her straw around in it.]

It's kind of... strange, isn't it?

Mm. [So noncommittal. She knows what Vash means, and she loves to see Bellemere. But this can't last, can it?]

[Vash is quiet for a moment or two, staring into his glass thoughtfully.] I know while I'm here I'm going to enjoy everyone's company all I can, and find a way to bring everyone back with me. [He doesn't use the words 'she' as he's including Wolfwood in that. He also purposely doesn't use the word 'try to'.]

[But she doesn't say it, draining her drink instead.] It's the best thing to do, right?

[Vash nods his head before motioning for the bartender to bring a couple more drinks.] After all, I think I'd go crazy if I was just sitting around waiting for her to disappear.

[That earns him a sharp look, before Nami stares down at her new glass.] ...well.

That would be kinda stupid.

[Which isn't to say she's doing just that.]

[Vash can damn well guess he's getting a look, but pretends he doesn't notice. Deciding to laugh like a dork and rub at his head shyly.] Ahahhaha... although I admit, sometimes it's hard.

My sister. She's still back at home at Cocoyashi.

I didn't know you had a sister. Any other family?

That's it. Or... if I have any other family, I don't know about it. My original village was destroyed in some kind of battle. Nojiko found me there as a baby, and Bellemere found us both there in the ruins. [The casual way she says it indicates it clearly doesn't bother her in the slightest. She was still a baby, after all.] She took us both home with her.

It's all the family I need. Well... that and the crew.

Oh, I'm sorry. [IT'S STILL SAD! So he feels the need to say something. Of course, he's sure that's not the part you want him to focus on so it's easy to keep going on about that second part.]

And if you ask me, families like yours is just as good as any other family out there. Maybe even better, because you don't love each other because you have to, but because you really want to and care for each other.

I think you're very lucky.

I am. Very lucky.

We may not be related by blood, but we're closer than a lot of real families. It's good to have the chance again.

Hahaha... y-yeah. I think I know what you mean. [Considering Knives is his twin and he'd rather not have anything to do with him. Where as Rem isn't even the same species as he is, yet he could never fully put his love for her into words.

But, he doesn't like to talk about his family. So let's stay on yours.] How has she been settling into Luceti? Alright I hope. Is she getting use to being around your other family? Has she witnessed Luffy eating yet? I hope you were able to warn her about keeping her hand away from meat near him!

[Nami hadn't even thought of the Knives connection; she still hasn't. Sorry, Vash. :C But he gets a faint laugh at all the questions, and Nami grins, counting off answers on her fingers.]

She's settling in just fine, and after a few hiccups at the start when she realised I was with a bunch of pirates, she's taken to the crew really well. And Luffy's no problem. Bellemere's more than capable of belting him out of the kitchen.

[Vash rubs at the back of his head as his eyes water slightly.] Yeah, I kinda felt how capable she can be.
