Well, things won't change if I don't at least try something, right? [His smile never leaves his face. He's really not too worried. The strike will either help make things better, or he'll find another job. One way or the other life will go on. It always does.]

After all, what do they say about insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting change? You wouldn't want to have to tell people you have a broke AND insane brother now, would you?

[misterbrief]

I'd rather just not tell people I have a brother at all! [He sits back in his chair with his arms folded. He doesn't like this strike business at all, it's bad for the textile mill, and if the strikers get their way? It's bad for his business too. Reform isn't something he wants to see, and it pisses him off that his own brother is taking part of it.]

Oh thank goodness. Dinner is served. [And out comes the main entreé, turkey completed with potatoes, soup, a variety of steamed vegetables, and all the like; set in front of them to dig in as they please. He figures he doesn't have to tell him but Vash can help himself. There is plenty to go around.]

That's an option too, I guess. [Seeing as it's the option Vash himself usually takes. Not that he denies that he's related to the Briefs and that Vegeta is actually his brother. He just prefers not to talk at all about his extended family.

Then the food arrives. The amount doesn't surprise him at all, he's always known Vegeta ot have a fairly large appetite, but it all looks so good. It takes all his efforts to not drool.

He also doesn't need any invitation past when the door was opened so he could be let in. Vash goes ahead and starts to dig right in. Oh dear god. This turkey! THIS TURKEY! It's like water in his mouth. And the vegetables! Why can't he ever get them to taste this GOOD!

Vash is going to be a bit, as he's busy stuffing his face to talk during dinner.]

[misterbrief]

[His eyebrow raises at the sight of his brother just stuffing his face. Vegeta does that too, but he dishes himself up and organizes his food before he digs in. A mannerism he just got used to doing having business partners over. Now, if he didn't care about appearances? He'd probably do the same thing Vash was doing now; and eating excessively without restraint.

But tonight, he's only dining with family, so without restraint it is. Who knew where all that food went. And how he stayed so thin in light of it. But he still can't help but comment on Vash's eating habits.]

You know, if you don't slow down there isn't going to be enough for anyone at that rate. [Which isn't true of course, but you know.]

Ha! Like you really need to worry about me slowing down. There wasn't going to be enough to fill you up even if there was no one else at the table! [Teasing his brother in front of his family? Vash has no problems with, but he will slow down his eating.

...only just a little.]

[misterbrief]

Hey! I'm not the walking talking vacuum over here. Don't talk to me about pigging out. [And with that, he will start in on his own food. And he's eating it...just as fast.]

Takes one to know one! Mr. All-in-one Food Vacuum! [Feeling less reprimanded he picks up his pace again. Trying to fall at a little under Vegeta. It would be rude to eat all the food after all, seeing as he is an unexpected guest.]

[misterbrief]

Argh. Speak for yourself! Keep that up and you'll be looking like a blimp faster than you can count to three. [Hey, he's not above banter with his brother. They've been doing it their whole lives, right?]

[goldenglasses]

One, two, three, and all I see is the blimp sitting across the table from me. [All their lives, much to the displeasure of their parents. Still, boys would always be boys.]

[misterbrief]

[He looks up from his food, genuine fury streaking from his eyes across the table to his brother. It doesn't help that his mouth is bulging on one side from the big bite of food he just took.]

[Vash takes the time to show off the fact that his mouth wasn't chocked full. By sticking his tongue out triumphantly and pulling down on his eye. Ha!]

[misterbrief]

[He slams his hand down on the table, chewing furiously and finally swallowing what he had in his mouth. And just for that, he grabs the entire plate of turkey in the middle and moves it as far away from Vash as he possibly can, just so his brother can't get any more of it just to spite him.]

[WHAT!? Now that's just rude! As soon as Vash realizes that Vegeta plans on moving the turkey out of his reach he practically leaps out of his seat and makes a mad grab for the plate before it moves too far out of his reach.

...and with his spare arm grabbing for the potatoes and moving them close to himself before Vegeta gets the idea to steal those too.]

[misterbrief]

[As Vash grabs the plate, Vegeta makes sure he keeps his grip on it while he pulls as hard as he can, letting Vash have his small victory with the potatoes. But he's not giving up, he is putting everything into trying to rip the turkey out of his brother's hands. He sneers, gritting his teeth.

They are so mature.]

[The maturest of brothers. Which is probably why Vash gets the brilliant idea that if Vegeta is going to steal the plate then fine. He can have the plate. Vash grabs onto the whole turkey and places it on his dinner plate. Feeling mighty proud of the loop hole he just found.]

[misterbrief]

[What! He's holding the plate minus the delicious turkey that was once upon it, feeling quite defeated and angry at such. Fine. He can have the turkey. He's taking everything else.

Hands quickly go out and he's snatching literally everything else he can get his hands on. He got his share of turkey anyway, so he'll just eat everything else, and then when Vash isn't looking? He'll take part of that turkey too.]

[He sees what you're up to Vegeta, had in fact been expecting it, that's why he had taken first ground with the potatoes! Of course potatoes were nothing without gravy!

Vash joins in on Vegeta's steal tactics, grabbing for anything closer to Vegeta first just to spite the older brother.]
