What in the world!?

[ Her voice squeaks a bit from down the hall as the music booms, flying out of her bed and racing out of her room in the summer dress. No, it's not quite as loud for her, but she can still feel the vibrations of it through the walls! It's with her sword in hand that she approaches...

Only to stop and do a double take at Vegeta. Adela blinks hard before rubbing at her eyes, clearly still startled and addled from being woken so suddenly. ]

Your highness...?

[Luckily for Vegeta that not only is the window already open to avoid the extra noise, but Vash has been suffering from nightmares the past few nights. As Vegeta sets up his revenge Vash is too busy reliving the night the city of Lost July was destroyed.

The outlaw tosses and turns slightly in his sleep when Vegeta enters, but doesn't wake. Only mutter gibberish with only the word 'light' being able to make out. He could feel his arm transforming. It was coming. That horrible light. That awful noise that would come from his arm. It was worse than death it was... here it comes... it was... OH GOD IT WAS HORRIBLE!

With a terrified scream Vash sits upright with his six shooter already in his grasp. His whole body was thumping from the music and for a moment he forgot where he was. With another scream he tosses his gun away from himself as he tries to gather his wits.

Okay. This really wasn't July. It wasn't even Gunsmoke. And oh dear lord that was a sound worse than what his arm could make. He presses his hands against his head as he rushes towards the first set of speakers and rips the plugs out.]

WHAT THE HELL!?

[It's after he's taken care of the speakers in his own bedroom does he come out to his living room. Thankfully dressed in long pair of pants and a long sleeved shirt despite the warm weather. The only scars to be seen are the ones on his right hand, right wrist, the start of his fake left arm, and feet.]

VEGETA?! [Not that he's surprised that this was because of Vegeta, he knew it the moment he remembered he was in Luceti. It was that the man was still in his apartment.]

[misterbrief]

[He just looks over and grins. Here, have a taste of your own medicine, Vash!]

[For a moment Vash will just stand stunned and wonder why he isn't dead yet. Then happy that this prank isn't ending with him losing his arms or death he moves to try to destroy the awful music as quickly as he can. His poor ears can't take too much more of this.

He just laughs meekly at Adela standing in his apartment now with a sword in hand. Not that she'll be able to hear it over the music.]

What in blazes is going on here? [ Not that anyone can hear her, CONSIDERING. She's almost going deaf at this rate though, beginning to use her free hand to cradle her head with the in-coming head ache from the loud music. Really, though, what is the meaning behind what's going on in front of her...? ]

[misterbrief]

[He's just sitting there, watching Vash get rid of each speaker, pleased. The portable CD player sits in his lap, as he just smiles and watches Vash work. He is completely ignoring Adela, as her presence here isn't important to him.]

[Vash yanks out each and every speaker as quickly as he can. Eventually he'll yank out the last cord.] Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! That has to be the worst wake up call I've ever had in my life.

[He peers over at Vegeta with a tired, shy smile.] Truce?

[misterbrief]

[He yanks the earplugs out of his ears.]

I'll think about it.

[And he stands up, leaving the CD player on the couch and goes to walk right out the door, past the angered Adela.]

Always good to see you. Please knock next time. [Vash rubs at his pounding head and looks around at all the speakers still in his apartment. He laughs meekly at Adela.] Don't suppose you need a speaker or fifty do you?

What in the world was all that about?

[ She may be more than just a little ticked off. Blame the lack of sleep. She'd be more understanding if it was a nightmare or something of the like, but this... ]

Well, ah, haha... you see, Vegeta and I have kinda, sort of been playing some harmless pranks on each other is all! [Of course, when he says "Vegeta and I" what he really means is that he was being a goofball and Vegeta is just taking his revenge.]

Don't suppose this is a good time to mention that I've signed up for a training mission for the Malnosso and if you could make sure the cats have food while I'm gone a couple days, is it?

So it was you interrupting his majesty's training sessions.

[ And that's a sigh of aggravation. Oh yeah, she's annoyed, but at least now she knows why. Vash already has seemingly paid for it... But that's when she clues in on the mission aspect. ]

Wait, you cannot... After what happened during the last draft?

[goldenglasses]

[His majesty? Vash can't help but let a small chuckle slip out at hearing Vegeta being called "majesty". If only because Vash had trouble picturing someone like Vegeta in the fairy tale princely role he tends to have pictured in his head.] Aw, it wasn't interrupting so much as trying to get Grumpy to relax and have a laugh. That guy's too serious for his own good.

[As for signing up for his mission Vash merely shrugs. It was a ploy to try to avoid Vegeta for awhile, turns out he just wasn't able to leave fast enough. Too late to cancel now and at any rate he didn't really want to. The more points he had the more he hoped to use to see Noah with again one day.]

Aw, it won't be so bad. I'm actually just helping out a sheriff keep the peace a bit in a desert town for a few days. It'll be like a little reminder of my home is all. I'll be fine, really. I'm actually really use to that sort of work! [Okay, so by 'use to' he more means being the one getting arrested, but details.] Who knows! Might actually even be a little fun! [He laughs and starts curling up some of the cords around his apartment. As if it really was no big deal at all.] Sure you don't need a speaker?

[misterbrief]

[He can't hear her. He's got ear plugs in and he's sitting on the couch, relaxed and tapping his foot to the music.

He actually doesn't mind this song.]
