[Early this morning the droids had swooped down on Vash during one of his regular trips through the woods. They came fast and hit hard so he had no time to give warning, but it's alright. As he was back by the afternoon, his journal falling open on the ground as he's returned. Only it shows a small boy with long, blond hair with a blindfold over his eyes, a pointy, party hat on his head, and a small strip of paper in his hand. The boy feels around blindly for a moment.]

Come on guys. Am I getting close? Why's it suddenly so cold. Knives? Rem? [A pause and he flails his arms a bit more.] ...Joey? Is this some kind of joke, because I don't really like it. [Finally he pushes up the blindfold.] Hey! This isn't the ship! [There's a pause, and suddenly a smile breaks out on the boy's face.] This is Luceti, isn't it!?



[He looks around, finally spotting the journal and quickly picking it up.] Hi everyone! The snow's all gone! I went home for a little bit, but now I'm back! Is Nicholas still here? Or Sanji?

[Then suddenly, his smile breaks into a pout.] HEY! I didn't even get a piece of cake yet! [That's just not fair!]

[Tiny Vash will be making his way to the village to explore everything again. He'll be sure to stop by the Flower Shop also the bakery and Seventh Heaven for food. Also the clothing store as his clothes aren't exactly early spring appropriate. He'll also play around the fountain for a bit. Feel free to run into him anywhere!

Of course, for the next couple weeks he'll also be staying at House 5 causing mischief for the Trigun members.]

[The voice on the journal is unfamiliar, but the childish pitch catches Vivi's attention, and she quickly takes a look. Hm. The blond boy isn't immediately recognizable to her either, but there's something almost familiar about him. Listening further, she hears him mention Sanji, and from the sounds of things, he's been here before, so it's with no particular urgency in her voice that she greets him.]

Hello! You're a friend of Sanji-san's? Do you need any help?

Yeah! I met him the last time I was here! Is he still around? I hope I get to see all my friends again!

[Vivi nods. So he has been here before. That makes things easier.] He is! In fact, he's a good friend of mine as well.

Hi, Vivi! My name's Vash! And it's alright, I don't need any help! I know my way around pretty good! And a new friend Amelia is out looking for me too!

[It might be a coincidence, right? Vash might not be an uncommon name...]

[...but another, more thorough look at the boy on the other end of the journal clinches it, as she recognizes familiar features softened by youth. He's even got that mole near his left eye. In fact, now she's a little surprised she didn't recognize him right away, despite his youth.]

[This is...more than a little awkward. Well, for her, at least. Vivi had been trying to casually avoid Vash since the beach, and given she'd hadn't seen even a glimpse of him since then, she assumed he'd been doing the same, to an even greater degree.]

[The pained shock slowly melts from her face, and she manages a wan smile. If he's this young, Vash won't remember any of that, and it's not fair to--he is her friend, despite what happened, and it really wasn't their fault to begin with. It was just so embarrassing that Vivi hadn't managed to pluck up her courage enough to seek him out since. Maybe facing him first as a child would make that eventuality a little easier.]

H-hello, Vash-- [She stumbles for a moment over what honorific to use with him; -san is what she customarily uses for him, but maybe in this case...] Vash-kun.

Coon? I'm not a raccoon. I'm just Vash.

[She can't help but laugh lightly at that.] Oh no, it's an honorific. A term of politeness. [A smile.] Nothing to do with raccoons.

Oh! I see. It's very nice to meet you Vivi-kun!

[...pffft. Vash. Why so adorable.]

Oh, you can just call me Vivi! I grew up using them, but I don't expect you to.

But Rem told me I should always be polite to people! If that's what is polite for you I want to use them too!

In that case, you can call me Vivi-san, if you like. [Not messing with -sama, oh no. :|]

Vivi-san? Is that what you use for girls? Like Mr. and Mrs.?

Mm, something like that. Generally, you'd use -kun for boys, -chan for girls, and -san for people older than you, whether they're male or female. There's more to it, but that's the basic jist. [She doesn't want to get him bogged down with details, especially considering he only looks about nine or ten to her.]

How old are you, Vash-kun?

Oh! I get it! [Luckily, Vivi is talking to a very intelligent boy. He picks up fast.] It's very nice to meet you Vivi-san and I'm one year old today! Rem made us a big birthday cake just to celebrate and everything before I was brought here!

...one? [Pardon her perplexed expression. Surely he must have meant ten...except that doesn't seem like the kind of mistake this boy-Vash would make.]
