[Early this morning the droids had swooped down on Vash during one of his regular trips through the woods. They came fast and hit hard so he had no time to give warning, but it's alright. As he was back by the afternoon, his journal falling open on the ground as he's returned. Only it shows a small boy with long, blond hair with a blindfold over his eyes, a pointy, party hat on his head, and a small strip of paper in his hand. The boy feels around blindly for a moment.]

Come on guys. Am I getting close? Why's it suddenly so cold. Knives? Rem? [A pause and he flails his arms a bit more.] ...Joey? Is this some kind of joke, because I don't really like it. [Finally he pushes up the blindfold.] Hey! This isn't the ship! [There's a pause, and suddenly a smile breaks out on the boy's face.] This is Luceti, isn't it!?

[He looks around, finally spotting the journal and quickly picking it up.] Hi everyone! The snow's all gone! I went home for a little bit, but now I'm back! Is Nicholas still here? Or Sanji?

[Then suddenly, his smile breaks into a pout.] HEY! I didn't even get a piece of cake yet! [That's just not fair!]

[Tiny Vash will be making his way to the village to explore everything again. He'll be sure to stop by the Flower Shop also the bakery and Seventh Heaven for food. Also the clothing store as his clothes aren't exactly early spring appropriate. He'll also play around the fountain for a bit. Feel free to run into him anywhere!

Of course, for the next couple weeks he'll also be staying at House 5 causing mischief for the Trigun members.]

It might start raining!? Really? Will it start soon!?

[Sorry, forgot your question. Too excited about rain.]

[Oh yeah. It's Vash.]

Calm down. Even if it does, you should get inside. It'll be colder if it rains.

Tell me where you are.

I'm in the forest! [Oh, so helpful.]

[Very helpful. Lucky Vash is a kid, or Amelia would be calling him an idiot.]

Are you near a river, or any buildings?

Um. [Vash looks around.] OH! The lake isn't too far from here!

[Oh good. He's really far away then.]

You knew you were in Luceti before, so does that mean you know how to get to the village from there? If you can tell me what direction you're going in, I can meet you partway.

Uh-huh! I follow the river until I see the town!

You're going to come find me? You don't have to do that, I know how to get back.

But you don't know how to get to Nicholas's house, and I do.

Oh!? You will!? That will be great! Thank you!

Yeah, no problem.

[Not as far as that's concerned, at least.]

So, what exactly do you remember from...the last time you were here?

Um. It was snowing and I fell down on the ice a lot. Wolfwood and I had a snowball fight and umm... [A small pause as he tries to recall everything.] A nice fairy gave me some seeds and-

[Suddenly Vash goes quiet.]

Oh no. I didn't warn Rem when I went back. How could I forget!?

[Normal things, and not what Amelia wants to hear. She almost consoles herself that at least it isn't anything bad, except Vash suddenly goes quiet. She's about to ask why when the whisper comes across.]

Everyone forgets. It's not your fault.

But I can't forget! I have to warn Rem!

But you... [Amelia sighs. She already knows this isn't going to work. She's talking to Vash. Younger, yeah, but still just as stubborn. She doesn't want to give him false hope, especially since this has to be some sort of experiment, but he could go on like this for hours.

So after a bit of silence on her end, she tries again.]

When you get here, write yourself a note and keep it in your pocket. It'll remind you.

[It's a good move for Amelia, as Vash had just begun to start crying. The note to himself seems like a great idea and it hushes his tears right up.]

That's a good idea! I'll need to borrow some paper and a pen though.

[Oh crap. No, Amelia really doesn't want tears. Which is why she's very glad her idea works.]

Like I said, you can write it when you get here. We've got plenty.

Okay! I have to do it right away when I get there, okay? It's very important.

Yeah, okay. But you still have to get somewhere I can find you first.

Okay! Um. [He takes a minute, looking around and trying to remember everything from his last visit.] I think I'm following the river to the west of the village!

Alright. I know where that is. [And where it lets out: on the opposite side of the village, of course.] Keep following it, and I'll head for that side of town.

[She's about to leave, when Amelia thinks better of it. She grabs paper and a pen for Vash, along with her journal. Might as well ease the kid's worries, for whatever it's worth.]

[When Amelia catches up to Vash he's still following the the river toward the village. Only he's going a little slow. Often getting distracted by a tree or some mud or this stone he's currently throwing into the river.

OH! That splash was a big one! Bet it would make a bigger splash with this bigger rock! He's so engrossed with his small exploration now that he doesn't have to worry about forgetting to warn Rem of the ship exploding that he doesn't even notice Amelia getting close!]

[Coming up on Vash in person brings back all the shock of first seeing him over the journals. But the similarities are all there, from his looks to how easily he's distracted by everything. It really can't be anyone else but him.]

Vash! [Amelia calls out, and hopefully doesn't get hit by a rock in the process. Pay attention, boy.]

[Vash smiles when he sees her, dropping his rock in order to close the distance between them with a quick run.] Hello, Miss Amelia! You found me!

Yeah. It wasn't too hard.

[She reaches into her jacket, fishing out the paper and pen she brought along.]

I brought you stuff so you could write your note too. You probably want to take care of that now, right?

[You wouldn't think it possible, but Vash's face grows even brighter. He reaches for the paper and pen excitedly and plops right down as soon as he has them.] Thank you Miss Amelia! Thank you! This is really important!

[He takes out his journal for something hard to write on and starts writing his note to himself. He's not hiding it at all so if Amelia wants to spy Vash writes:

Don't forget to tell Rem that something happens with the steering on the ship and it crashes according to Mr. Bluesummer. Have Joey run a diagnostic right away.

He breaths a sigh of relief once the note is written. He'll then carefully fold it and place it into his pocket. Pushing it down deep.]
