[Early this morning the droids had swooped down on Vash during one of his regular trips through the woods. They came fast and hit hard so he had no time to give warning, but it's alright. As he was back by the afternoon, his journal falling open on the ground as he's returned. Only it shows a small boy with long, blond hair with a blindfold over his eyes, a pointy, party hat on his head, and a small strip of paper in his hand. The boy feels around blindly for a moment.]

Come on guys. Am I getting close? Why's it suddenly so cold. Knives? Rem? [A pause and he flails his arms a bit more.] ...Joey? Is this some kind of joke, because I don't really like it. [Finally he pushes up the blindfold.] Hey! This isn't the ship! [There's a pause, and suddenly a smile breaks out on the boy's face.] This is Luceti, isn't it!?

[He looks around, finally spotting the journal and quickly picking it up.] Hi everyone! The snow's all gone! I went home for a little bit, but now I'm back! Is Nicholas still here? Or Sanji?

[Then suddenly, his smile breaks into a pout.] HEY! I didn't even get a piece of cake yet! [That's just not fair!]

[Tiny Vash will be making his way to the village to explore everything again. He'll be sure to stop by the Flower Shop also the bakery and Seventh Heaven for food. Also the clothing store as his clothes aren't exactly early spring appropriate. He'll also play around the fountain for a bit. Feel free to run into him anywhere!

Of course, for the next couple weeks he'll also be staying at House 5 causing mischief for the Trigun members.]

You are...?

[Naoki pauses in asking-- Should he ask about this, especially if Vash may return to his usual self in a little while's time? He's torn by his own curiosity and his own limits he puts on himself when it comes to asking about things.]

Yeah, I hope we find some place like this. We're going to build a war where there's no war or stealing. Where everyone can live their lives in peaceful days!

[Naoki reaches out impulsively, putting a hand on Vash's head.] I hope you do. It's better when there's no fighting.

[Vash looks up with a smile.] Yeah! Much better! No one should ever have to fight!

Yeah. [His expression is faraway, for a moment, and his hand drops down. He smiles.] Nothing comes of it, really...

[...] Naoki? Are you okay?

--eh? Oh. [He clears his throat, sheepish.] Yeah, of course. Just remembering some stuff.

Like what?

I-- Fought, for a while. 'Cause I had to, but I disliked it more than anything. [Naoki doesn't like fighting--even though he knows he has to. When he has to he will, but he can't imagine ever enjoying it.] So I can understand wanting a world of peace.

It's what I was working toward.

Oh. I'm sorry. I wish nobody anywhere had to fight, ever.

No worries. [He smiles.] I wish the same, too. Maybe one of these days...

We should find a way so you can come back with me! Rem and the crew are going to make a world of peace! You can come with us!

Ah... [He's struck silent, surprised by the offer. And touched by it, kind as it is.] Thank you, [sincerely.]

But I should stay here in Luceti, a little while more.

Oh, okay. [The boy blushes suddenly as he actually stops to think about what he offered.] And you probably have people at home you miss too, huh?

I do. [He notices the blush and chuckles, eyes seeming to brighten.] But thanks. Really. I appreciate it-- Maybe one day I could come and visit, though, if you'd still have me.

I'd like that! It gets a little lonely on the ship with just the crew awake!

[Oi, Naoki, you shouldn't pry, what if-- The question slips out before he knows it, though:] Why is it just the crew awake?

Rem says that all the people have to sleep so they're ready for the fight that awaits them on the new world we're going to make for them.

I see. [Naoki nods slowly, then,] Who is Rem, anyhow...?

[He smiles softly, yet a little sadly.] Rem's one of the crew, but she's also the one who teaches me and Knives stuff, and plays with us too.

Is she like...family? [Is what he asks after a moment, looking thoughtful.]

[Vash face blushes slightly as he looks down at his feet.] Well, I'd like to think... yeah, the crew is like a family.

[He grins a little at the reaction.] S'nice to be around people who're close to you like that.

Yeah, it is, but I still wish there were more people awake on the ship to talk to.

It's always nice when there're a lot of people to talk to, yeah. [Pause...] But you're here in Luceti now for a bit, huh? Good chance to talk to more and more people.
