[Today Vash is at the Battle Dome. Not usually his favorite place in Luceti, but even an expert gunman needs to practice if he wants to be ready for anything a draft might throw at him. So he's running a few simulations.
He's set the settings and enemies to random, but cranked the difficult level up to high. It doesn't give him much trouble. Even the first setting on the moon doesn't slow him down. He easily compensates the weightlessness, gliding around easily enough. The fact that his gun doesn't work is a problem at first, but he gets good at sneaking around the robots that come after him and takes them down hand to hand and with a knife hidden in his boots.
The next is in a forest. This time it's panthers and other exotic creatures that are after him. Not to mention the hunters in there that are not happy to see Vash at all. It doesn't take long to shoot out their legs and ditch the animals. The scene changes quickly.
Old Western. Now THIS was familiar a small town filled to the brim with bandits. Very familiar. He shoots quickly, bandits fall one by one by one. Clutching at arms and legs when suddenly a man appears, that looks strikingly like Vash himself, and without even a second thought Vash shoots him right between the eyes.]
STOP! [The scenario stops but takes a moment to disappear. Vash stares down at his brother until he vanishes. With a sigh he runs his hand through his hair. It was getting long and shaggy.] I messed it up again. I should have- [He shakes his head.] Can't change the past. [He exits the room, having enough of this and grabs his journal.]
[Voice]

Anyone a hair stylist? I think I need a trim. Or maybe even a change. [He makes sure to give the journal a nice, happy grin.] And to everyone new coming in I hope you're able to settle in! Things may not always seem so great here, but it's not all bad, right? At least the food is free! It's nice not having to worry about having spare cash on you all the time!

[Sorry, did you say something about hair?]
[Action]
[Although if that makes him happy, she wouldn't really feel the need to correct him... Still... weren't they forgetting something?]
But Mr. Vash... what about your hair?

[Now she was starting to understand why he had said she could call him dog... he was quite a bit like an over eager dog with his tail wagging back and forth, and it was taking all her restraint not to just say 'Down boy!' As... that would probably be rude of her... right?]
Sir Vash... please calm yourself a little, I don't want you to chop off all your hair. You'd asked someone to help you with shortening it a little... remember? Um... I suppose if you wanted we could just skip the hair and go out for lunch or something, but I'd feel a little guilty for not doing something for you in return.

Okay Vash... If you like... you can carry me to the Seventh Heaven, and we'll both go get something to eat, okay?
[Waiting around for him to come back with food would probably be more harsh, right? She'd just feel positively awful, if she had forgotten about him, and left him looking for her when he came back with her food. She just had to make sure he minded the miniskirt, as the last thing she needed was for things to be riding up on her in awkward places.]
It's... not too much trouble, is it? I... don't want to be a bother or anything.
[Action]
I'll be happy to carry you right there if you'd like! Or once you are hungry we can be off!
[Action]
[She scuffs her white leather boots together as she looks at the ground nervously.]
I wouldn't mind heading there right now... I am pretty hungry...
[Action]
[Action]
You're... you're really very fast aren't you?
[It seemed like they were out the door before she'd even had the time to breathe.]
Are you always this excitable about food?
[The words felt almost strange coming out of her mouth, given how much she liked food, but his eagerness was almost baffling to her. She doubted she'd ever seen anyone move that fast while carrying someone, and somehow managing not to even so much as bruise her in his hurry.]

[Action]
You're right, they do have very excellent food there.

You're a very silly man Sir Vash... but I think I rather like you.
[Have a very light and innocent kiss on the cheek Vash.]
Shall we go inside then?
[She's pointing at the door as it seemed that in his hurry, he'd gotten there even faster than her realized.]

[She was going to say something to the effect of... a little crazy, but decided gentlemanly was also still accurate.]

[She's just going to watch him scurry of now with a raised eyebrow. He was certainly odd in a kind of cute way, but if he called her his queen one more time, she might have to bop him over the head with her physic staff. Fortunately for Vash, Ilyana's not terribly well acquainted with the cook of the restaurant they were sitting in.]
He's certainly... an odd one... but I can't really fault anyone who's willing to bring me to have the finest food in town.
[She had a slight habit of talking to herself when she thought no one else could here her.]
[Action]
Here you are my queen! A menu I found just for you! Of course if you don't like anything in there I'm sure I could talk the chef into making anything you may want!
[Action]
[There's a dangerously mischievous glint in her eye, but she's trying to look the cutest she possibly can with the most innocent of smiles.]
Because um... if it is, could you tell him I'd like this?
[She hands him back the menu... just the menu. The entire menu really, but she's doesn't want to actually say it out loud as that would make her sound rather... un-lady like.]
Um... actually... would you mind asking him to double that order?
[Wow Ilyana... two of everything?]
[Action]
[Vash stands, full of smiles as he rubs at the back of his head shyly. HOW DARE HE FAIL HIS QUEEN!]
