[All Vash had been expecting was to finish his night at Good Spirits, go home, and sleep. Coming home to find droids kidnapping the girl who lives next to him was not in the plans. He awakens early Saturday with a pounding headache and sore muscles. He really hasn't had a very good March so far. Falling in love, vampires, and droids. He's had just about enough as he reaches for his journal.

He tries to hold it so the destruction of the apartment can't be seen and besides the beaten look in his expression he doesn't look too worse for wear.] I'm sorry to anyone who is friends with Adela, but she'll be missing from work for a little while. [He hates these kinds of announcements and hopes people understand from just that what has happened. Still better to note what's happened then leave her friends wondering if she had been sent home.

Vash will take time to clean up the apartment as best he can and put things to right. Once it's done he'll be taking himself to Good Spirits and spend most of the day there drinking. It may not help the bruises he got last night or his bruised feelings, but he can sure pretend it does!

Uh oh. I hope the Malnosso don't do anything too awful to her.

[Vash puts on soft smile and a confident tone to his voice. In truth he feels like doing anything but smiling. Yet, he doesn't know what else to do.]

I'm sure she'll be alright. She's a pretty strong girl.

Yeah, she is. She made me some really nice gauntlets in exchange for me doing some clothing alterations for her and helping her get a wardrobe started.

[Still, Vash is a sweet natured person and Bulla's not entirely fooled by the tone.]

Thanks, but I'll be alright. I have- [a fight to pick up after] - a few things I need to take care of.

All right. I've got to show you some of my designs sometime, though. I've been learning all about how to design clothes, and I've got designs for men and women's clothing.

[It's her way of persisting a little without being too pushy. Vash's business is his own, but she's still got a few lingering Luceti-valley memories of him being her uncle. Just because she knows it's not the case doesn't mean that she suddenly doesn't care]

Yeah? [She wasn't the only one who would just stop caring. Vash really is glad to hear she's been keeping busy and won't let Luceti get her down.] Any designs that will help me score a date?

[So he smiles and jokes. Acting like nothing is wrong when he's hurting is one of his specialties after all.]

I don't know about scoring you a date, but they're definitely designs that'll turn heads and get you some positive attention.

[What happens after Vash opens his mouth has nothing to do with her, however.]

[Pity, as the mouth part is where he needs the most help.] Yeah? Some positive attention from the ladies is always welcomed attention in my book. [Not that he really wants to change his look, but he likes to encourage creativity when he can.]

Nothing looks quite as good on a person as nice clothes that are fitted for their individual build.

[She'll have to try for something casually dressy. She kind of doubts that even real Vash would wear a suit much voluntarily.]

Any particular colours you'd like incorporated into the designs?

[Casual is better. As Vash would be happy to wear anything he can move easily in. A suit isn't always the best for that. Yet, give him a day or two and he'll be back in his old coat again anyway. Unless it was hidden from him.] Hmmmm, this is a tough decision, but I think I'd like to say red. I know it may seem like a bit of a surprise.

Well, one does need to be mysterious to capture the hearts of especially beautiful ladies. [No, he didn't miss hear her.]

...if mystery is key, I think we may have isolated your problem, Vash.

Really?! Do you think I'm being too mysterious then? I don't want to scare girls away!

I think you need to try for being more...aloof. Like, just talk to a girl you're interested in as if she's just some random friendly acquaintance. There is such a thing as being too eager, you know.

A friendly acquaintance, huh? Yeah! I think I can handle that! [If only she knew how Vash tended to treat his friendly acquaintances.

Although it was basically no difference then a complete stranger.]

Just talk with her and invite her to go have some tea at the tea house with you at first. Then tell her you'd like to meet up again sometime and that you enjoyed talking to her. Just get to know her a little the same way you'd get to know anyone else first. After you've met up a few times, then you can ask her out for an official date.

[It dawns on her that it's a little weird to be giving out dating advice when she hasn't really had a relationship so much as a few dates that her father's scared away. But Vash really needs the help.]
