[Accidental Voice]

[Vash had been mentally preparing himself for this day. Yet, he still wasn't ready when May 9th came around. The day his life had changed forever. For whatever reason his journal kicks itself on and it catches sight of Vash cleaning a large cross. Only one of the arms is open showing a row of handguns. Vash is very carefully giving the Cross Punisher a full tune up and cleaning. At the moment he's got one of the smaller handgun apart and checking it for any possible malfunctions before giving it a cleaning and putting it back in it's place.]

Hard to believe it's been another year already. [He talks out loud to himself. Or his two cats as he's unaware the journal turned itself on.] Noah would be two years old today. I'm sure that kid is doing just fine. After all, with parents like that no wise person would stand a chance messing with him.

[He dabs at an eye that's starting to water.] Don't worry; kid. We haven't given up on you. It may take a little more time, but I promise to find you. I will. [His hands slip and he ends up dropping part of the gun. With a soft chuckle he picks it up again. Dropping things when no one was around to see. It just wasn't like him.] Heh. Opps.

[Vash falls quiet as he continues on his chore. His back turned to the camera, but he often drops things and has to pick them up again. The outlaw's shoulders start to shake the more his fingers fumble and yes, those are soft sobs that can be heard. Thinking he's alone he's not at all ashamed by his tears.] I just... I really hope- where ever you are... I hope you have a happy birthday, Noah.

[Action]

[When he's finished his task Vash will clean himself up and hit up his usual haunts as he leaves the ice building. Helping with the flowers at Azalea. Working with a happy smile and having lunch at Seventh Heaven. Now that his death penalty was removed he'll pick up a "light" snack of a dozen doughnuts from the bakery. Munching them as he takes a short walk around the forest before winding up in Good Spirits to end the day.]

Ah, stop it man! I'll keel over and end up as someone's chicken dinner at this rate! [She's laughing even harder than before, especially after her own joke. She clamps a hand over her mouth, trying to quiet herself.] Oh man, that was sort of terrible for me to say! [Yet she's still laughing.]

Someone's chicken dinner!? Oh man! That sure sounds like such a fowl way to die! [He laughs uproariously at his own joke. Hearing someone else laugh helps on a day like today. Knowing that there can still be joy in the world.]

Especially for someone like me! [She presses her legs together, feeling the feathers on them smush up against her pants.] Though I'd try and fly the coop before that would happen!

[If only Vash knew what Karis had under her pants.] Heh, no offense, but if you came out with my soup I think I'd have to complain to the chef.

[She snickers and rolls her eyes.] Oh come on, I can't be that bad! But I think you'd be better off with drumsticks instead!

What kind of terrible chef is this? I asked for chicken soup and first one I get isn't cooked to order and now I'm given a musical instrument? I think I need to speak to the manager!

Musical instru- [She waves a hand, laughing lightly.] Oh! Sorry, I meant drumstick as in a chicken leg, not an instrument!

[Vash chuckles and take a sip from his glass.] Heh, I suppose that wasn't my best joke to date.

My choice of wording didn't exactly help either. [She shrugs.] Though I never knew you called a drum beater a drumstick. [That was so weird.]

Well, it's a stick that you drum a drum with isn't it? Doesn't sound too strange to me.

But it's not a stick? [She's still confused.] It's bigger than a stick, and has some sort of white, fluffy end to it.

[Vash just shrugs with an amused smile.] I suppose that's true. But who knows! Maybe one day the person who named them that will arrive in Luceti and we can ask them why they decided to call it that!

Knowing Luceti, we might get multiple people who came up with the name! [Who knows how many worlds there were out there.] Hopefully an argument doesn't break out of who thought of it first if we have them all at the same time.

You know. I'm actually surprised we haven't had more: No! I'm the one who created that fights here in Luceti come to think of it!

I guess there hasn't been many people that have invented something that's present across a lot of different worlds then.
