[The floor had been quiet. Vash hadn't seen Adela for several days now and that worried him. So when he opened her apartment door he wasn't sure if he was happy or not to see it empty except for a few letters that he found inside. She was home where she belonged, but it was going to be a hard post to make.

After a few moments to put his own thoughts in order he opens his journal and speaks calmly. Not completely businesslike, but someone in control.]

I just found out that Adela has been returned home. I'm sorry for all those who knew her and those that didn't get the chance to. She was a great person and I know will be missed. She left some notes for a few people.

[A brief pause as he picks up the letters and starts to read out the names.] Vegeta and Bulla Brief, Rock Lee, Saori Kimura, Jean Kirstein, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin, Android 17, Iroh, and Ventus.

If you don't know who I am, I'm Vash and I use to share the same floor as she did. You can find me on the fourth floor of the ice building. Feel free to stop by anytime to collect your letters. Just let me know when you think you'll be stopping by and I'll be sure to be home, alright?

[Vash will be around for a bit with his journal open to listen for replies. Anyone interested in passing Vash by in normal life can also find him later hanging out at the bakery eating some doughnuts in memory of Adela. Then another trip to the flower shop as the flowers usually cheer him up.]

[Iroh opens the door with a sad smile]

[Vash returns Iroh's smile with one of his own. A letter in his hand.] Hello, Iroh. How are you doing?

As well as can be expected. Please, come in.

[He gestures inside]

[Vash heads in a little ways and then turns back to Iroh.] She left this for you. [He holds the letter out to Iroh.] Would you like some time alone to read it?

[Iroh takes the letter in hand and places it into a pocket]

That is quite alright, I will take some time out later. How are you doing with her gone? I know the two of you spent some interesting time together.

Well, we were neighbors. It was kinda nice knowing that if I ever... ah, had to leave for a bit, that there was someone there to check on the cats and water my plants. But, the cats are pretty good at taking care of themselves so I'm still really glad she was able to go home. [He makes light of how much he'll miss having someone close to him to try to keep away how much it hurt. He hated being alone almost more than anything else.]

I don't think this place would have been kind to her for very much longer. Not when she had such a good home to return to.

Yes, best to focus on the positive here. I know some here do not have that luxury, but it is nice for those that do. It was good she was able to avoid being drafted, and only experienced some of the oddities here. I'm uncertain if she will retain any of her memories, but I hope she was able to have some happy ones.

I'm sure she did. Even when Luceti is at it's worse there's usually at least one or two happy memories here.

Well, remember the fond times with her. She was quite fun to tease.

I will. I-- wait, [Vash can't help grinning.] Are you telling me you teased a nice girl like Adela?

I'll admit I took a certain amount of pleasure from doing so.

Hehe, why aren't you a 'mean ol' man'. [Not that he seriously means that.] She's a good kid. I'm glad we got a chance to meet her. Were you able to teach her the joy of tea?
