HMV (How's my Vash-ing!) / Opt out
Feel free to post here to give me some pointers! What you don't like? What do you like about my Vash? Also feel free to let me know here if my dyslexism is bothering you! Comments are of course screened and IP free!
Anon comments I do eventually unscreen so you can see when I reply to you. I reply to all so you can be sure I've seen it. If you would like your anon comment screened again just let me know and I will do so!
Also feel free to use this space to let me know if you would like to Opt Out of tagging with me. No hard feelings! Sometimes characters don't mesh and that's fine! Those comments will be left as screened! I sometimes have trouble keeping track if someone plays multiple characters so please list the character/journal name so I make sure to get it right!

Although I have to give the animators credit for what little they really had I thought they handled it well. As I've always kinda theorized that uh... name is escaping me... that one crew remember that treated them like shit and what he saw of him and his actions with the other crew I could see where the superiority complex came from. I actually see it as a buffer to his fear of humans - instead of saying he's afraid of them he'd rather say he's above them and that's why it's alright for him to wipe them out.
But I like to overanalyze characters now and then.

Steve, yeah.
And that's totally cool, I do it all the time. Knives is definitely afraid of humanity, I think, it just manifests itself as craziness, rage, and that superiority complex of his. I kind of wish the anime hadn't had such an open ending because...well. Physically kicking Knives's ass didn't really stop him from recovering from the July incident and pursuing his goals so.
...and I am totally spamming your HMD post, sorry. xD;

Yeah. I've always wondered that open ending. Like - what is Vash really going to do when Knives wakes up? Because he's going to be pissed. I get to: pointing out that Vash could have killed him but didn't and trying to show Knives that people could accept them - but after Knives healed I have no idea how Vash would get him to stay.
And I've always been amused thinking of Meryl and Milly's reaction to Vash bringing him back: Oh hey guyz! This is my brother who's been actively trying to make my life a living hell and hates humans! I think he needs a hug.

Ahaha, I know right? I can't even remember how many fanfics I've read about the end of the series. Personally, I think Knives is a character beyond redemption, mostly because he doesn't want it. Plus, being redeemed would have to entail him realizing he's wrong, which would just be a huge blow psychologically considering how many people have died because of his beliefs about...everything. The end of the manga seems to validate that since I think he pretty much chose to die.
Oh man, yeah. Milly would probably handle it better than Meryl, but it would just be awkward all around since Vash would most likely have to guard Knives all the time to keep him from kill them.

Honestly, I don't think I could play Knives in any game (particularly without a Vash) except postmortem since...well. He's easier to manage because he already knows he's failed and that his power has limits. There also aren't any other Plants to protect or augment his own power with so. He is a hermit instead.
And making some progress with humanity (he has a human biffle :3) though he still hates them as a rule.

I don't think he will be since it takes place during the anime. I'd really love it if they did an OVA like they did with Hellsing because the manga does so much more with the characters.
Either way, though, I definitely wanna see it.

Then maybe I could get some castmates sob. It's been so long since the anime ended, and I don't think as many people know about the manga. 'Tis sad.

And I do know I've had to explain to a couple people on my personal journal why Vash's hair is black in some of my icons. XD Tis very sad.

Ahh, yes. The hair-darkening effect.
Hey. Could I friend you? :o
