[Standard Villain Filter with emphasis again Knives, Legato, and Yuber // 100% Unhackable]

Those of you who met a little girl during the last experiment, who might have said her name was Tesla, she was not a little girl. She was my brother, Knives. He was looking for me and if you told him you knew me, [a pause] you could be in danger. I’m sorry, but any of my friends, even if you don’t know me that well, [even if you don’t know me] you shouldn’t leave yourself unprotected. I don’t know what he might be thinking or planning, but he’s never treated people I know very well.

Knives looks a lot like me, but with shorter and lighter hair. He also has a man named Legato working for him. He has blue hair and yellow eyes. Stay away from them if you can. [After answering the questions people may ask, Vash decides to work off some of this building frustration and anger towards his brother. He’s at the battle dome and he’ll be in there until he’s kicked out, finger bleeding, shooting at anything the simulation will throw at him without killing the targets. I'm sorry that doesn't really help you as much. Do you remember what I told you about their voices sound like?

Yeah, but I haven't heard them since you told me. [Technically true, she spoke to them before he said that!]

I did speak to a girl during the experiment, I think she recognized me.

She did? What did she say?

Something about her brother being lost, but not physically. She didn't say a lot, really, it took a little bit of effort to get her to say much.

I'm not sure if that was really him or not.

[She's convinced that it was him, but shed promised that she wouldn't mention their interactions with Vash.]

Is it really so bad to come into contact with him if he hasn't hurt anyone...?

He hurt a lot of people back home and I couldn't forgive myself if he hurt anyone here, so I'm just being careful. I hope he won't hurt anyone and want to make friends, but right now... he hasn't really acted like he wants to.

And if he does? You can't keep hiding things, Vash. Not when they involve people you care about...

[Now he's honestly confused.] But... I'm not hiding things. [That's what this whole voice post was about after all. She has no idea how hard it was for him to admit all the things that he has so far.]

But beforehand; you were hiding all this from the rest of the village... almost like you're afraid to let anyone close even though you call them your friends. [The circumstances may not be the same, but maybe she understands a little more than he realizes.]

Well, to be honest, I didn't want people to be afraid of him. I was kind of hoping he'd see that he didn't need to be afraid of humans here. That maybe we could get along. [Okay, a little lie, he'd like to think they could go back to being close, but Vash isn't sure yet if he could forgive him for killing Rem yet. Although, he won't know until they try.]

But if he's being sneaky like this to try to find my friends, then I want to make sure they're safe.

I s'pose... [Ah this next part is hitting a little too close to home, she's not even sure she wants to tell Vash about it.]

... When you're scared of Humans, it's usually not because of one single incident. It takes a lot of betrayal and trauma to reach that point... If so many Humans want to hurt you or someone you love at home, and do so without hesitation... why should they be different in another world, if when it comes down to it that's just their nature?

No, it's not like that. Humans hadn't done anything to hurt us. [Besides Steve, but it's not fair to judge everyone on the acts of one man.] Knives is the one that betrayed them. [Here's something rare and you shouldn't have heard since the experiment in November. Vash sounds angry.]

[It takes almost every bit of willpower to not slam the journal shut, she very clearly remembers the last time you were angry, and when you were in Yuber's body. There's a part of her that is terrified of being hurt at your hand again.

The girl takes a few deep breaths to calm herself, but her voice is still a little shaky.] That doesn't sound right... Have you asked him how they hurt him? Or... someone important to him?

Whoever she is, she's very important to him... Important enough that it still hurts, and makes him kill Humans for it. [Definitely taking note of that wording there.]

I know she is, but... even if I could believe what he told me about her. [Rem would never allow what he was told happen.] Blaming the actions of a few does not give you the right to blame everyone.

On our birth we were all given a blank ticket and it's up to each and everyone of us to decide where it takes us and what we do with it. Because of that everyone is unique and different.

A blank ticket...? [What a strange analogy, who the heck told him that one?]

What if a few is almost everyone you've met? Or if your destination was chosen for you by the people who hurt you...?

Even then. Everyone is different. I wouldn't want people to judge me by what Knives does just because we are the same species.

... They scare me, Vash...

That's okay, it's okay to be scared. You can't help it and it's alright to be careful around them, but you shouldn't hate them for something they didn't do.

Because if you're just scared and careful you can still have a chance to make friends and not be scared anymore. But when you hate you don't give people a chance. Everyone deserves a chance. [Or eight in Vash's mind, but baby steps.]

[It's going to take a lot of baby steps to get her to see things your way Vash. She's still struggling to hold herself up.]

I'm not sure if I want to...

Give the people here a chance. They're not the same ones from your home. I think you'll be surprised by how nice they can be.
