Those of you who met a little girl during the last experiment, who might have said her name was Tesla, she was not a little girl. She was my brother, Knives. He was looking for me and if you told him you knew me, [a pause] you could be in danger. I’m sorry, but any of my friends, even if you don’t know me that well, [even if you don’t know me] you shouldn’t leave yourself unprotected. I don’t know what he might be thinking or planning, but he’s never treated people I know very well.

Knives looks a lot like me, but with shorter and lighter hair. He also has a man named Legato working for him. He has blue hair and yellow eyes. Stay away from them if you can. If they come after you, call for help. They are very strong and have mental abilities that can turn even the strongest fighter into a rag doll. Please, do not go after them on your own.

[After answering the questions people may ask, Vash decides to work off some of this building frustration and anger towards his brother. He’s at the battle dome and he’ll be in there until he’s kicked out, finger bleeding, shooting at anything the simulation will throw at him without killing the targets. Feel free to catch him setting everything up or as he’s coming out.]

[This is certainly something Homura doesn't see often. What might have at first been dismissed as nothing more than poor aim becomes an undeniable testament to the skill of a particular gunman as he continues, and draws Homura's attention. He has come to the battle dome to observe what talent might be found there, and hasn't been disappointed.

If Vash is too focused on his thoughts, the man who approaches once he exits the chamber might be striking indeed, due to the similarity to another Vash knows all too well. Yet it isn't Legato's voice that calls out, nor a pair of golden eyes that studies the expression and the posture of this man.]

Your aim is remarkable.

[Vash has noticed someone watching while he moved through the simulation. He doesn't really like that aspect of the battle dome, but it was still better than practicing in the forest.] Thank-you. [He calmly holsters his gun and moves towards the clinic to find a bandage to wrap his finger in. There's something about you he's not sure he likes.]

[Ah, but Homura's not done with you yet, Vash.]

Do you always make a point to avoid lethal shots?

[You're more than welcome to follow him to the clinic area.] Of course. No one has the right to take the life of another.

[Well, since you offered so nicely, Homura will just do that.]

Is that so? And by what authority do you make that claim?

I don't need any. [Getting out a bandage.]

And if someone were to kill another in front of you?

[Vash pauses in his wrapping.] I don't appreciate hypothetical questions.

[Homura still grins the same, unphased by the response. This is the sort of questioning he enjoys, but his manner is still calm.]

Whether or not you appreciate it is irrelevant. You should have an answer, especially given that you speak on no authority.

[Vash choices to stay quiet and finish working on bandaging his finger.]

[But silence is a choice, isn't it?]

So either you have no answer, you refuse to accept that such a thing is possible--

Or has already happened? Someone killed where you should have been able to stop it, yet you were powerless to do so.

[He finishes up the bandaging and gives his finger a look over. Still not answering.]

[That's okay. Homura is used to the silence in more ways than Vash can imagine.]

Whatever the case may be, you should prepare yourself. It will happen, in this very place. Not all subscribe to your philosophy, after all.

I know that. And I will do everything I can to protect those I can. [Heading out now.]

[Homura's content not to follow this time. On the surface, at least, Vash's resolve is firm.]

[Vash is relieved that you apparently aren't the type to try to prove yourself on innocent people, but that doesn't stop him from walking away.]
