[Action/Voice - Slightly backdated to a normal hour]
[After a rather upsetting conversation (and backdated to daylight hours), Vash ran blindly into the village wanting to get AWAY from that man. When he feels like he’s far enough away; he drops himself down and has himself a good cry. Maybe he’s behind your house? Or even just near the spot you decided to pass by for a walk. After he gets himself under even just a little bit of control he flings his journal open and shouts into it.] Do people really come here at different ages?! Can people- can people really meet other people from their future!? If… if… if they can! They can go back to their time and fix things! Right!?
I… I can stop bad things from happening, can’t I?

[But her expression softens and she turns away from the stove.]
I'm so sorry. I...lost people important to me, too, but that's in my past. It's too late for me to help them now.

He knows what might happen, from the way events unfolded in his time, and if he's telling the truth. But...I agree with Rem. Those events haven't happened for you, so there's still a chance to alter that fate. The future doesn't only unfold one way, not if that alternate reality experiment had any truth to it.

It's possible...but remember what I said, the future isn't set in stone either way. You -and anyone else who can help you- will have to be active in making that difference.

I believe you. Rem and the others are lucky to have you to help them.

That could be it. Fate works in strange ways, sometimes.

When the time comes, hold to that. But for now...what would you like, to warm up with? Do you want cocoa instead?

You're not bothering me. If you were, I wouldn't have let you inside, right?

...could I have cocoa then, please?
no subject
Of course. Do you like marshmallows?

[She withdraws the bag from the cabinet, and the cocoa as well.]
