[The journal falls open just in time to catch a pained gasp, followed by some rather upset sniffling.] T-t-that hurt! B-but R-R-Rem said dreams aren’t s-suppose to hurt! It’s so cold. Rem! Kn-nives! [Finally the journal catches a glimpse of little Vash as he shakily tries to stand up in it‘s view. His trade mark spiky hair is gone. Instead it falls most the way down his back, but those eyes and that mole are the same. He‘s also severely underdressed in just the new feather pants. Look ma! No scars!] W-Where are you?! Joey? J-Joey, can you h-hear me?! W-what part of the s-s-ship is this?!

[There’s a pause as if he’s waiting for someone to answer, then he tries to take a step forward. Instead of moving his feet come flying out from under him and he lands hard on ice again with a frightened yelp. Once he gets his breath back the soft sobbing starts up again.] Rem. P-p-please help me, R-Rem. Where are y-you?

(ooc: Space and time? What is that? Whoever wants to run into poor Vash is welcome. He’s stuck out on the frozen lake!)

[Cheyenne is ever patient as Vash takes his time across the ice. She doesn't seem to have as much trouble, but mostly because she's used to walking in difficult terrain without sight.]

...in one sense, yes, I am. However, that does not mean I am entirely incapable of knowing my surroundings. I can sense your presence quite easily, for which you should be thankful or you might have remained alone on the ice.

You can s-sense me? [Kinda how he feels stronger around the plants.] I see, t-that's good.

[It's curious that he doesn't ask her to explain what she meant, but perhaps that'll make things easier.] Yes, it is.

[She glances to be sure he's following before she starts walking back towards the village.] Once we reach town, I can show you a place where you will be able to find proper clothing.

[He moves carefully, nearly falling once or twice, but he's getting the hang of it. Soon enough he's off the ice and follows a bit easier, although his toes are freezing.] O-o-o-okay. [Warm clothes, yes please.]

[Cheyenne just quietly leads the way back to the village, pausing once or twice to make sure Vash is still following and hasn't stumbled into a snowbank somewhere. When they finally reach the clothing shop, she holds the door open for him. Thankfully, it's warm inside.]

Hm. Perhaps it would be a good idea for us to wait here while you warm up before returning to place to stay.

[You don't have to tell him twice. As soon as the door is opened he can feel the heat coming from it and darts right in.] O-o-o-okay.

[Closing the door to keep the heat in, Cheyenne glances around the room. As helpful as these stores were, with nothing but shelves in them, they just seemed like obstacle courses to her.]

There should be clothing in your size here if you look around. Take all the time you need, as I am in no hurry.

[Vash doesn't even question about paying. As he never has to pay for anything on the ship anyway. He just takes his time going through the clothes, picking out what he remembers wearing the few times he went into the cold room with Rem.

He even finds the changing room to change into some of the clothes when he finally comes out again, he's done.] I'm much warmer now. Thank you.

I am glad to hear it. [She doesn't sound too glad, given how rarely her voice changes to reflect her mood, but she does give a small smile.]

[Of course, now was the issue of where to take him. She could take him to his own home, but if no one was there, it'd be most inconvenient to go through the trouble of walking upstairs only to have to turn around... ~~Luceti needs elevators.~~

Hm. There is a place you could stay, but I am uncertain whether or not anyone else would be there right now to assist you. If you would not mind the odd company, you are welcome to stay with me until I find out?

Okay, thank you. [And she will find out that no one is at Vash's home. Meryl is mallynapped and Wolfwood is running around as a child himself. XD Good thing Vash's memory of this time is going to be hazy!]
