[Vash gets an early start today. His first stop even before the sun is really up is to stop by the rubble that was once community building four. He searches through the rubble carefully for some time, before he apparently finds what he’s looking for. Several broken flower pots. It’s as he feared, the flowers that had been left behind that Rem had cared for have been crushed under the rubble. As it sinks in that one of the only mementos he had of Rem in over hundred years is gone he starts to tear up, but he has other things to take care of today.

He slips his sunglasses on his head, takes a few of the dried out petals, sticking them in the pages of his journal, and will then head for Flonne's Flower Shop of Love, spending most of the afternoon there attempting to clean the place up and take care of the flowers. He does the best he can, but he honestly doesn’t know for sure how to take care of the more exotic-looking ones.

After getting the place as clean as he probably can, he heads out again. Headed to the forest, but he has a long walk in mind. You're welcome to run into him during the start of his walk, but really only those who spend nearly all their time in the forest should find his final destination as he picked it out with the idea that it was far and out of the way. The couple flowers he had kept at the apartment weren’t the only ones she left behind and he’s relieved to see that the ones he planted are still safe. He’ll spend the rest of the day checking on these flowers and making sure they’ll be alright before headed back to wherever he and Meryl have been staying since their apartment came down.]

(ooc: Feel free to run into Vash anywhere he’s at today or call for him over the journals. He does have it on him and will answer it - or feel free to comment on the flowers he just crammed into it!)

[Nods his head.] Yes, I am. I was hoping it wasn't too damaged, but it looks like it got hit pretty bad too in some places.

Mn. It has but the forest is resilient and I have been healing it during my breaks.

I wish I could do more to help it to heal, [He touches a tree lightly.] but at least someone can.

[Ted himself actually has been camping out in the forest. The fact that people have been crowding into every available living space didn't sit well with him, as he was too used to keeping a place to himself, or a whole room at least. However, just as he was planning to hopefully not be caught sneaking past to check on the New Feather station in the forest (as he was very certain it got the brunt of the earthquake), he spots Vash and pauses for a moment.]

Ah. [He falls quiet at that, remembering the completely destroyed station in the forest.] Mind if I come with you? I need the walk.

Sure, company would be nice. [Nothing against you Ted, but he won't be taking you near his flowers. It's his secret spot.]

[Emil has been here and there, seeing if he can salvage any useful items from any of the stores. He might not notice Vash right away as he rummages through the remains of the item shop, though.]

[Vash will spot him on his way to the flower shop. He's been trying to keep an eye out for his friends.] Emil! Glad to see you're alright!

[Emil looks up at the mention of his name, his expression changing to one of relief when he realizes who is speaking.]

I'm glad you're all right too, Vash. I just wish I could say the same thing about most of the buildings here.

No, I haven't. I've been trying to look for anything that people might be able to use, like food or blankets or stuff like that. Why?
