[Action/Voice - Backdated to this morning]

[Today started like most mornings for Vash. He got up, did a little bit of training, took a shower, then started breakfast. There was something missing though as he got started. Wasn’t Rem usually up by now? As his bread turned to toast, he went to check on her to see if she would like anything for breakfast. After not getting any response from some light knocking, he quietly opened the door.]

Rem, are you awa- [All of her things were gone and Rem was nowhere in sight. All that was left were her flowers. He quietly shut the door and picked his journal up off the kitchen table.]

[Voice]

For those that knew her. Rem, she- [Long, long pause.] she’s been sent home.

[Action]

[Meryl, if you’re home you have about forty seconds to come find him before all you’ll have is a note saying that Rem was sent home, he went for a walk and would be back later. Whether Meryl catches him in time or not, he’ll eventually head straight into the forest as he just can’t stay in the apartment right now. He’ll walk for a long time, going deep into the woods before he realizes that this is dangerous. He’s not paying attention to anything around him, so he’ll climb up into a tree in the hopes to stay clear of at least some of the dangers in the woods.]

Of course... I'm always up early. [ She heaves a sigh, strides over to him, and wraps her arms around his middle. ]

[The hug doesn't surprise him so much as the contact just hurts. Rem was just here. Able to be touched just like this. And now she's gone. Without warning she was gone. And that could happen to you too. You could just suddenly be snatched away just as easy. He starts to tremble.] S-she was just here! She was here last night! [And now she's gone. It's like she's died all over again.]

[He won't bother asking if you're all right, or if you need company. There are other people setting out do just that. But he can't do nothing, you see. And so after another moment, he'll go looking for his violin.]

Yes? [A bit tired sounding. As much as he appreciates people's well wishes they are all reminders of what happened. But he honestly is happy to hear friendly voices. It's hard to figure out which he feels more right now.]

[Well wishes are good, but Brook understands sometimes a distraction is more of an order. He takes a seat by his journal, and if Vash is looking at it the violin should be visible in his lap.]

A drink doesn't sound too bad right now. [There's a little voice in his head yelling that drinking won't help anything, but he's sure that will go away in a drink or three. Besides at least then he'll be with Raven for a bit and out of the apartment.]
