Now she's staring at him in even more disbelief and there goes her coloring as a normal human being. Colored like a monster made of beets, she is completely red. It takes her a few moments to get her voice. ]

[ She looks down shyly and rubs the back of her neck. She almost feels she should be dressed up, right now, and not in her work clothes. ]

Mm, I do. I'm... I'm really glad for this, Vash. [ Don't worry, she didn't think he could put this kind of thing together himself, but the effort is what counts. She laughs a little, nervous. ]

Let's not let the food get cold, then, right?

[ She can pick out the tips that Sanji gave him, just by how awkward he seems. But, when he pulls out the chair, he earns a quiet, warm, appreciative laugh and she sits, smoothing her skirt out a little. ]

[Smiles shyly and pushes her chair in. Then disappears for a bit to come back with some soup and salad.] For starters! The main course is salmon with uh… [What was it again? Oh yeah!] in an apple glaze!

[ Meryl's still gathering her bearings, taking in a deep breath while he's gone, before looking up at him upon returning. ]

Wow, that... actually sounds really good.

Really? [Oh thank god - but why was he so worried? Sanji is a cook he should know what would be good.] That’s uh… good! [Sits down and stares down at his salad for now because looking at her will make him blush. Never mind that he totally forgot to light the candles, he’s lucky he still remembers his own name right now.]

[ She nods with a soft sound and glances down at her own salad, picking at it and eating it thoughtfully. It's got her full attention because, despite her usual composure, she's not very good with these situations, either. Besides, she doesn't want to show of the giddiness she's feeling, right now. ]

[Eats his salad. What else should he do - oh small talk. Crap he didn't of anything to talk about.] Um... good day at work?

Th-that's good! I'm finding there are a lot of interesting people here. [Mooooooooooving onto the soup now, although to be honest he's not overly hungry - too nervous.]

Well, it did make for interesting days sometimes, but I like that there's no money here. Everyone seems perfectly happy without it.
