[Vash's journal decides to start recording, catching the gunman sitting by the fountain looking rather grumpy. That's probably because he's dressed in a really fake looking frog suit with huge googly eyes on his forehead. His face is also smeared with green paint. He mutters grumpily to himself as he sits near the water.]

This really had better be the Malnosso's doing. If I find out Jack is somehow behind this then I swear I'll riiiiiiiibbit! [The talking out loud to himself suddenly stops as Vash slams a hand quickly over his mouth. Did he really just ribbit!? Oh man, why him. This is embarrassing and horrible and just- oh hey! A pretty lady!]

Oh miss! Miss! Won't you find it in your sweet and kind heart to give this poor frog a kiss and break the curse I am under!

[Is it you Vash is flirting with? Is your male character a princess looking for his prince? Or just want to mock Vash? He'll be hanging around the fountain begging for kisses from pretty girls and possibly trying to avoid any men who've gone "mad" all week!]

[Because Vash so needs to run into one of the guys turned princess, here's one for him. This particular "princess" is trying to get to somewhere where he can't be seen.

Of course trying to be all stealthy when in a long dress and with a wig that makes his hair go all the way down his back is not exactly an easy prospect, but removing them isn't seeming to be an option. The sad part is that he actually makes a believable princess, outside of the lack of breasts and being rather tall for a female.

And for reference, he looks like this except with long silver hair instead of black.]

[Oh hey! A pretty girl! A little flat chested, but not bad! Vash is up on his feet and hopping over.] Oh beautiful mistress, a witch has placed me under a spell and the only way to break it is by a kiss from a beautiful princess like you! Please won't you be the one to set me free?

[Give him a second to answer, his hair just got caught on something. And then with a sharp tug he frees it.

And dang it, it doesn't matter what sort of outfit he got forced into, he's not a defenseless princess. Curse you, Malnosso if this is one of those experiments.] I truly doubt I am the one you seek.

[And yeah, definitely not a girl's voice. And heck no, he's not kissing some guy. Definitely doesn't swing that way.]

[He'd say that was obvious, but then he is aware that the dress does deceive a bit. Much more so than that fake frog costume does.] I am as much a woman as you are a frog.

[Yeah, he's so not wanting to act his part. But it does help that neither of his knights are around at this time.]

[The fact that you are horrified Vash is likely the only thing saving Leonhardt's opinion of you right now.] I agree. Could this be one of those experiments then? I most definitely am not interested in wearing dresses normally. [Or in kissing guys. Or heck, interested in anyone really considering he still has an obsession for a dead woman.]

I'm pretty sure it is. Every time I try to take this thing off it's right back on again!

I noticed the same. Quite irritating, though not what I expected from an experiment. Is it even known how they accomplish this and what the purpose is?

Nope, and they say it has something to do with studying shifts or something... although I sometimes think they just do it for laughs.

[Hmm, he does remember shifts being mentioned. But there was little information that was given.] Is there more information on these shifts beyond what the Guide says? Is that how you could find yourself wanting a kiss from a man?

[And obviously Vash is too easy to distract and troll. That prompts a bit of a smirk. Hopefully Vash never sees Joshua dressed up like this, because he's far more convincing since his voice isn't so deep.] My apologies for that. I cannot control what was done to me.

You need not worry about that. [Because he's the type who obsesses over a dead woman and doesn't bother seeking out any sort of romantic relationship.] I am likely not the one who will free you anyhow if my thought on this experiment is correct.

[Because really, this is somewhat easy to guess when he's stuck in a very familiar role and he saw a production of the story not all that long ago.]

[And at that, Leonhardt smirks. This defensiveness is really making him wonder.] Is this called into question often then because of these experiments?

NO! This was a simple one time only mistake!

[And more smirking. So easy to rile up there, and that will definitely be noted for future reference. But he'll quickly enough go to his normal calm expression after that bit of entertainment.] My apologies. It is merely my first experiment and I wondered if this was common.

So these shifts you speak of can affect our very emotions and personality then? [Not a pleasant thought with how hard he has worked to keep his temper under control.]

Yeah, they can effect pretty much anything and everything. [Okay, being serious now for the new guy.] Never really know what might be changed.

And yet no progress towards finding a way for us to get back to our homes? I know I have no wish to go through something like this again.

Well, sometimes people go home. It's really hard to know what they're doing.
