[Vash can be found sitting on a bench in the plaza, his glasses on and a very grim look upon his face as he looks the place over. He’s thinking back to the incident with Kefka. A man died and he hadn’t been able to stop it. There must have been a way. What had he missed? He’ll be sitting there for a while, teeth clenching as he tries to figure out what he did wrong. Meryl is welcome to pick up/comment on the sober mood he’s probably been in the past day or so.]

[As Vash doesn't know what happened after you flew off he's narrowing your discomfort down to the transformation.] It’s alright. I’m just glad you and everyone else are alright. [He’s rubbing his right hand nervously Terra. He wants to tell you it’s alright that he understands but he’s not use to sharing personal things.]

[Terra's assuming Adell or someone else told him, at this point. She fidgets, tugging at the end of her ponytail for something to do.]

As am I. It could have been so much worse....

I guess you know now why I would take the Esper's story personally. Maybe I should have told you before, but...I'm not used to people knowing about it.

Don't worry about it. [He pulls out his gun and stares at it for a moment. Should I...?] I- [No. He can't. He just doesn't know her well enough yet.] I'm sure we all have things we'd rather not share. [Genuinely smiles up at you.] And trust me; something like that probably isn't so bad.

[If Terra thinks anything of his hesitation, she doesn't say anything about it. He's right; everyone has their secrets. There's a small smile that appears, and fades away in a moment.]

I wouldn't have transformed, if I didn't think it necessary...and it's the same, with confronting Kefka. Despite what you might think, I didn't enjoy fighting him. I did it, because it seemed the only way to protect people...and I would do it again, for that reason.

It's alright. I understand. Kefka did need to be stopped... just... there must have been another way.

I doubt Kefka will ever want to redeem himself, but if there's a way we can avoid fighting him all the time...I'd support you if you found it.
