[Vash can be found sitting on a bench in the plaza, his glasses on and a very grim look upon his face as he looks the place over. He’s thinking back to the incident with Kefka. A man died and he hadn’t been able to stop it. There must have been a way. What had he missed? He’ll be sitting there for a while, teeth clenching as he tries to figure out what he did wrong. Meryl is welcome to pick up/comment on the sober mood he’s probably been in the past day or so.]

Oh! Raven! Sorry... I guess I was thinking too hard!

[He plonks himself down next to Vash on the bench.]

Well... it's not really a secert. [Pause] A man was killed here the other day... he wasn't a good man - but it shouldn't have ended that way.

People don't die in Luceti though, they just get resurrected and come right back with a penalty.

It doesn't matter! No one has the right to take a life! And even if he comes back... he's losing a part of himself.

[Raven's already died once, before Luceti, he's not exactly keen to bring that up but he wants to try reassure his friend. This is quite a pickle.]

Think of it positively then, at least he'll actually come back. Back home when people died fer me they stayed dead. I guess we're lucky to be given another chance here if somethin' goes wrong.

Y-yes... he hurt many people. I understand why they thought they needed to but... [He sounds a mix between angry and upset as he yells the next bit.] it's not right! He shouldn't have died!

OK first of all, calm down. Secondly, tell me who died and who killed him.

[He looks away.] Did you know who Kefka was?

No idea who he is. That makes me a neutral party in this.

Well... he's done a lot of bad things. He's... killed someone here himself. And the other day he tried to frame a friend of mine for some reason... but it backfired and all the people who were angry at him showed up instead.

I don't need ta know the reasons for his death. If ya think it's a bad thing then explainin' is just tryin' ta justify it. I need ta know who killed him.

But that's kinda the problem... I'm not sure if it was just one person really...

Ah well, seems way more complicated than it should be. Basically a bad guy died and yer mopin' around over it. Showin' yer enemies such pity is a disgrace.
