[Vash has been walking out in the woods more so than normal the past few days. Keeping his eyes open for a certain short insurance girl as he walks. Although he's disappointed once again in his search his eyes have noticed something else in the woods today. So amazing that he can't help but to talk out loud to himself.]

Huh, the trees are already starting to change color again? I guess that means it's almost time for fall again. Time sure does fly sometimes.

[Speaking of time flying, that reminds him of something. So he pulls his journal out of his pocket and makes a voice recording.]

Hey there everyone! I have a very important announcement today! It's Milly's birthday on the 24th so make sure to wish her a happy one then! Oh, and she likes pudding, so I'm sure she'd love it if you happen to stop by with some. [Poor Milly, her best friend is missing and her boyfriend is too young to really remember her for her birthday.] She could use some cheering up, so please try to remember.

[And to keep his thoughts from being too sad.]

And if you just so happen to bring some donuts by with you if you visit that would be great too!

[With that said Vash will wander the forest for a little while longer before he gives up the search for the day. He has a few places to go today. Like hitting Seventh Heaven for some lunch. From there he'll visit the flower shop and bakery before hitting the grocery shop to pick up groceries on his way home. Later that night when little kids should be in bed he'll make a stop to Good Spirits.]

Hey, it was for his own good! The new bounties had just come out, and he had a high one. Staying off the ship would have got him killed.

Besides, he built the ship. And he kind of secretly wanted to come. We just made it easy for him.

Franky joined us of his own accord. We just helped him make a difficult choice.

[Vash just smiles back. Don't worry he doesn't really think less of you.] Well, I suppose that's good. All's well... that, uh... ends well?

[But let's move on to topics that don't involve ball crushing. He's hurting over here in sympathy!] Although... what about that other woman I've seen around your place? She told me she was a marine. Is she trying to figure out a way to arrest you guys or something?

[Nami nearly chokes on her drink-- but only because she finds it funny.] No! That's Bellemere-san!

[...yeah, that clears things up. IT'S OKAY, because after snickering a little, she grins widely.]

You need to come meet her. She's my mother.

Oh, I actually met her in the bar once, she seemed pretty - SHE'S YOUR MOTHER!? [He met Nami's mom without knowing it!?]

Y-yeah, she kinda does. [Not to mention the lack of family resemblance.] Is that a Luceti time thing?

Rem reminds me of her a lot. [For all the horrible reasons.]

[Considering you've never really met Rem, Vash takes a pretty good guess at what you mean.] Oh? Does she?

Yeah. [Dead mommas unite, Vash. Still, she doesn't speak again until she's ordered another drink, swirling her straw around in it.]

It's kind of... strange, isn't it?

Mm. [So noncommittal. She knows what Vash means, and she loves to see Bellemere. But this can't last, can it?]

[Vash is quiet for a moment or two, staring into his glass thoughtfully.] I know while I'm here I'm going to enjoy everyone's company all I can, and find a way to bring everyone back with me. [He doesn't use the words 'she' as he's including Wolfwood in that. He also purposely doesn't use the word 'try to'.]
