[Vash can be found wandering around the village. Where exactly? Pretty much anywhere. His goal was the repair shop to look for his gun but it’s not that he’s lost… he just doesn’t know where he is. Feel free to bug him around town.

After his shopping he’ll be coming home and while putting things away someone notices his own letter. After reading it a couple times he’ll be looking for Meryl to ask her about a couple things.]

[Actually... you may be getting them ready for Vash - who has in nearly the blink of an eye stepped between Nami and Luffy. He doesn't know enough yet that Nami won't REALLY kill Luffy. He's pretty sure she won't - but that look in her eyes? Better to be safe and sorry!]
