[ She nods, looking Vash over. She hasn't seen him in so long. She looks wistful. ] We'll find him something, regardless. Don't worry. It's probably in the shops, along with the rest of his things. We can go and look for them.

Think Wolfwood's cross will be there? [Still feeling somewhat guilty that he lost that]

[ She sniffles and covers her nose a moment, thinking she was going to sneeze. She relaxes as the feeling passes, then smiles softly. ]

I'm sure it would be, actually. Stranger things have appeared there.

[VERY happily takes the clothes. He's not use to showing off so much of his ~~scars~~ skin. They'll probably be a little tight but he won't complain!] That's much better! Thanks again Luka!

[ She glances at the clothes and how awkward they look on him. She sneezes, then smiles a bit afterward. ]

They're fine for now. We'll find your coat. It'll be warmer, anyway.

[Eyes Vash and the clothes.] Well I don't think there's a bigger size so yeah, that should do for now. I'm sure you will find clothes of your size at the store though, or even yours directly.

But first. [totally eyeing you Meryl] I saw things like houses on the way here. I mean... there are beds here right? Because you look really tired.

[ She turns to Luka and ruffles a bit in embarrassment. ] Oh! Ah.. I'm sorry. My name is Meryl. Meryl Stryfe. Pleased to meet you.

Someone told me we're put here for some kind of experiments... but why? [Hasn't had a chance to go over the guides carefully - but he will soon enough]

... Well, it's hard to say. I've heard they're collecting data on how we react to things, but... you never know the true intentions of these kind of people.

[Searches in her database, her voice sounding more robotic than normal.] The guides talk about the Malnosso studying how the village and the residents are affected by the diverse synthesized shifts that take place inside the barrier. So far the public objective is said to be "to find a way to travel between our worlds".

[Stops the search and the voice returns to normal.] I agree with Miss Meryl though, even if that's truly their objective there can be numerous details that affect that goal. In both a good way and a bad one.

[Wait-wut was that!?] So... there's a barrier?

[ She looks down a bit, holding her blanket tighter. ] That's right. We haven't been able to break it. We can't leave on our own, because of it.

[Again checks the database, again with the robotic voice.] The data says that the barrier appears to reach indefinitely into the sky and into the ground, it seems to be oval shaped and to reach the edges takes around two or three days depending on the direction. [A pause.] There's no data about the composition of the barrier but attempts to destroy or damage it have been to no avail.

[Stops the checking.] I suppose that's normal, if they want to experiment with synthesized shifting in a contained area they will need a container that can't be destroyed easily in one of the shifts. However it seems there was a time when the barrier was smaller, though so far the size is fixed that means that even if it can't be destroyed it can change its size.

[Wow, is she going into a trance or... something...] Really? I wonder what kind of attempts have been made. [Smiles] You sure know a lot though Luka!

I know my friend keep trying to break it down. He doesn't seem to have any plans to give up on it.

[Smiles.] From what the data says I would think anyone with some kind of power or weapons has tried to break it, either alone or ganging up. I'm just checking what the information about Luceti I have in my database, I have been here myself barely a week.

And personally I wouldn't give up either, there doesn't seem any data that really says that the barrier can't be broken, just that all attempts have failed. From that all we can be sure of is that, so far, we lack the power to break it, but with new people coming and new shifts happening maybe that will change.
