[Vash had been having a good time his short time in Luceti. He loved the room Nicholas was letting him stay in. It was full of beautiful flowers and fun snow-globs. Only he needed to stretch his legs a bit more.

So out and about Luceti today. Exploring just about everywhere. The first thing he does is drop some random twigs and leaves off of the bridges to watch how fast they float away in the water.

When that gets old he'll explore in the item shop for awhile. Checking out all the fun toys to play with. He'll do his best not to make a mess, but sometimes that's hard when you're a kid having fun. He'll eventually clean up his mess and leave with a big red kick ball, a magnifying glass, and a toy boat.

The toy boat he takes IMMEDIATELY to the fountain, playing with that until his hands start to get cold. He starts playing with the ball, chasing it all around the square and bouncing it off things, until he trips and scrapes his knee.]

Ow! Ow! Ow! [He starts crying.] Ow! I broke my leg! Ow ow ow! OOH! It's bleeding!

[After that unneeded out burst he gives up on the ball and starts exploring with the magnifying glass instead. Of course he has to visit the flower shop and various places to eat to look at the flowers and food up close. When he runs out of those things to look at it will eventually lead him out to the forest to look for any spring flowers. With little success he'll open up his journal]

[Voice]

Um, is there anyone good at finding flowers? When do they start growing in the forest usually?

[Eventually the little boy grows tired and he'll finally head back home for the night. Settling into bed, feeling absolutely wiped out and ready for some fun dreams.]

I'm Vash! It's nice to meet you Miss Grune!

[...Ah.

Very slightly, her smile softens.] I am pleased to meet you as well, Vash.

Come this way.

[And she leads him along a path through an extensive garden towards the house. Only the crocuses and some tulips and daffodils are in bloom, but there is plenty of greenery promising many more flowers to come.]

[Vash tries to be well behaved as he follows behind her, but every so often he falls behind. Becoming engrossed at staring at the flowers. Each one unique and amazing in it's own way to him.]

[Grune remembers what he told her about his home planet, and so it's quite easy to be patient--especially since he's currently a child. She'll let him set the pace.]

These flowers are all so pretty! They're so bright and happy looking!

Yes, they are. [She walks back to join him.] Particularly after a long winter, or if you are from a world with very few flowers.

We have a few flowers on the ship, but it's nice to see all the different kinds of flowers that exist. The flower shop has more flowers than I thought COULD exist I think! There's so much!

[She makes note of his mention of "the ship," but does not comment.

Instead, she says:] You should return often. The varieties there are always changing.

Yeah! I want to come back everyday! That's what's so exciting about this place! So much of it's changing all the time! Everything here is alive! Not just one small area!

Is that the way it is where you are from?

Well, the rec room changes every time we go in there. The rest of the ship never really changes. It's always quiet and cold most of the time.

I see. What kinds of places does the rec room change to?

Oh, it doesn't change places. It's always green, but different things are always growing and moving around in there.

You must find it very interesting. Is it your favourite part of the ship?

Yeah, it is. Rem, Knives, and I will usually have lunch in there. Next to this big apple tree.

[Rem is a name she knows, though she assumes the Rem he knows is not the same person. ...She cannot quite say what she thinks of someone with the name of Knives spending time with the small, innocent child Vash had been.

She does not speak her thoughts, however, and so only says:] That sounds quite pleasant.

It is! It's my favorite place on the ship!

I can certainly understand why.

Where do you intend to travel to?

We don't really know. We're looking for a new home! One where people can live in peace and happiness!

[She doesn't respond right away. How many people on how many worlds have looked for utopia? And yet so very, very few ever find it.

To share her thoughts would be cruel, however, and so for him, she smiles and says:] I wish you the best of luck and hope you find it soon.

Thanks! I do too! Because I want to meet all the sleeping people!

[Now that gets her attention.]

The "sleeping people"?

Uh-huh! Rem and the crew are guiding them and will wake them all up when we find our new home! They're counting on us!

Then it is important for you to do your best.

Don't worry! We will! I'll be sure to do my best too!
