[Vash sat up in the woods with a pounding headache. More worrying for him at the moment was the biting cold wind that was hitting his skin at nearly every angle. Once again the Malnosso had left him out in the cold of winter in nothing but new feather pants. Leaving all his scars exposed.

Some days he really hates those guys.

Those out in the woods today might glimpse the rare nearly naked Vash as he tries to dash from tree to tree as he quickly makes his way to the clothing shop to retrieve his trademark red coat back. It's sitting in the shop waiting for him and he's hoping no one is shopping at the store so they won't be shocked at his scars or currently trying on his coat. He really wants that back.

Once fully clothed again Vash will make a quick stop to the grocery store. As he isn't sure how long he's been gone and last he knew he was the only one on his floor. He wanted to make sure there was something worth eating in his place. He also grabs the nicer cat food because while he's sure the cats are good at fending for themselves he still feels the need to bring a peace offering for being gone if he wants to sleep at all tonight.

From there he heads home to the ice building. He's finally happy to be home at last. His head is still pounding with images of shady men and he can't help feeling there's still something wrong. He never gets off from a visit with the Malnosso without something going wrong. He finds out what a little bit later when he's suddenly hit by the hiccups.

Maybe he was just sitting down to a sandwich. Trying to clean his gun. Getting out of the shower. Sitting around quiet. Walking around town. Anytime during the next week hiccups will suddenly come and each time that he hiccups he suddenly teleports somewhere random.

Anytime this week you could have a Vash falling from your ceiling. Trapped in your closet; banging to be let out. Hopefully he doesn't show up in your bath with you. Feel free to find Vash anywhere in nearly any situation that suits your pleasure! Just beware the noise...]

Yeah, I do. Hahaha, although I have been away for a little while. [He lets out a soft sigh.]

[Though, that sounds ominous. For him to have been away for so long... From what she knows, there's only one conclusion she can come to. And, with that, she suddenly feels both pity and dread.]

[No wonder Rem's flowers had looked so wilted. He had been lucky. Really lucky with those.]

[February? It was February? How- could he have really been gone for so long? It's unsettling but he keeps all that out of his face without missing a beat.]

Ah! Thanks! I wasn't sure if it was the 6th or the 7th! I always lose track of the days! HAHAHAHA!

But I guess I'll be leaving now. OH! We should have dinner together tonight! A belated welcome to the floor!

[This man has to be some kind of nut. He really has to be a nut. But then, the offer for dinner comes and she's on edge once more, scratching her cheek and not looking Vash in the eye at all.]

I was going to cook food for myself before you landed on me. You need not do such a thing for my sake.

Were you? Do you think you'll have enough for two? Because all this teleporting around has made me hungry!

What? [How does this guy keep throwing her off. Seriously, it's irritating. But...

She can't say no to that face.]

I... I cannot guarantee that there will be enough for both of us. But I suppose I can see about it. It will be simple cooking.

ALRIIIIIIIIIGHT! I haven't had dinner with a pretty girl in forever! Today isn't so bad after all! HAHAHAHAHA!

[Oh goodness she doesn't know how to handle this. In fact she's just going to walk right by him and towards the kitchen now. Focusing on something other than whatever nonsense he's spouting out should help.]

[Vash turns and follows her out of her apartment just an arm's length behind. A bit like a little puppy.]

So! What's for dinner!

Fish and steamed vegetables.

[Yes good she can handle the change in conversation. Anything that isn't flattery will be good.]

I may also use some of the lemon juice and garlic on the fish.

Mmmhmm! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

What Kuroneko and Donut would go nuts for.] Um, hope my cats haven't caused you too much trouble.

... They were sneaky.

[She's frowning a bit, shaking her head before slipping into the kitchen and beginning to pull the skillet, sauce pan, knives, and cutting board out.]

But someone had to take care of them.

Ah, thanks. I really do appreciate it. They're actually pretty good at taking care of themselves, but I'm glad someone was looking out for them while I was gone.

Hahaha, I know how annoying they really can be.

[She doesn't say anything, only humming in response to the thanks before focusing on what she's doing. She's also at the point where she's trying to not let Vash distract her, instead working intently on preparing the meal. The way she cuts the fish is crude and simple, but it's still skinned well enough and, with the vegetables steaming nearby on the stove, she's frying the fish in the skillet just by itself for now.

The reason why becomes evident when a big piece of what she's cooking ends up unspiced and set aside on a plate. Just enough for two cats.

Once it's done she'll put the plates on the table, fully intending to eat quietly from there. It's been a long time since she's had company to eat with though, and... She's not sure if she wants to admit it, but it's kind of nice.]

[Vash is fine with her not saying anything. Happy to chat away at her back.]

Those cats are sneaky. I swear. Put them in a room with no windows or doors and I swear they'd still get out!

[He keeps chatting on. Talking about the cats for awhile. Switching to the weather. Letting her know that he's usually a quite guy he'll try not to keep her up too late at night. He'll be sure not to eat all the food in the fridge and leave what belongs to her alone. He just keeps chattering along, for now avoiding anything she'd have to give an answer to. Yet giving her a chance to jump in if she wanted to.]

Mmhmm! These sure smells delicious!

It... It may not taste as good as you are expecting. [She's frowning, flushed as she just goes about eating her own. To her it tastes nice, but she knows her tastes are simple at the same time. It isn't as if she could normally do anything more than that, even if she has the ingredients to do more now. Still, at least to her this is a nice treat of a meal.]

Well, I suppose there's only one way to find out! [Vash eagerly grabs a fork and starts to dig in. A big piece of fish makes it all the way up to his mouth, he pops the piece in, and slowly starts to chew.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It's even BETTER than it smells! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Super tasty! Mmmmhmmm! It's so good! Danke, danke! [In the midst of his happy shouting he starts to shovel more food into his mouth. It's not the best he's ever had by far. (But to be fair, his best friend for while was Sanji and it's hard to beat Sanji's cooking.) Even so he'd be happy to say it is.

More than that. After that first bite he realized just how hungry he was. His time with the Malnosso is still blurry and after so long in Luceti he knows they will probably never become clear and he's pretty sure he doesn't want them to. Yet, he's starting to think he hasn't had much to eat in the past couple days.]

Mmmhmmm! I'm not sure if I'll be able to make up a dinner as tasty as this for you later! [Said through a mouthful of food.]
