[Vash sat up in the woods with a pounding headache. More worrying for him at the moment was the biting cold wind that was hitting his skin at nearly every angle. Once again the Malnosso had left him out in the cold of winter in nothing but new feather pants. Leaving all his scars exposed.

Some days he really hates those guys.

Those out in the woods today might glimpse the rare nearly naked Vash as he tries to dash from tree to tree as he quickly makes his way to the clothing shop to retrieve his trademark red coat back. It's sitting in the shop waiting for him and he's hoping no one is shopping at the store so they won't be shocked at his scars or currently trying on his coat. He really wants that back.

Once fully clothed again Vash will make a quick stop to the grocery store. As he isn't sure how long he's been gone and last he knew he was the only one on his floor. He wanted to make sure there was something worth eating in his place. He also grabs the nicer cat food because while he's sure the cats are good at fending for themselves he still feels the need to bring a peace offering for being gone if he wants to sleep at all tonight.

From there he heads home to the ice building. He's finally happy to be home at last. His head is still pounding with images of shady men and he can't help feeling there's still something wrong. He never gets off from a visit with the Malnosso without something going wrong. He finds out what a little bit later when he's suddenly hit by the hiccups.

Maybe he was just sitting down to a sandwich. Trying to clean his gun. Getting out of the shower. Sitting around quiet. Walking around town. Anytime during the next week hiccups will suddenly come and each time that he hiccups he suddenly teleports somewhere random.

Anytime this week you could have a Vash falling from your ceiling. Trapped in your closet; banging to be let out. Hopefully he doesn't show up in your bath with you. Feel free to find Vash anywhere in nearly any situation that suits your pleasure! Just beware the noise...]

So you teleport everytime you hiccup? That seems rather an odd shift.

I am familiar with the language of flowers. Reds feature prominently in the colours of the Fire Nation. I took to wearing greens in Ba Sing Se, the colour of life, balance, and growth.

Yeah? I must admit I don't know too many men who know that the flowers have a languge. More should.

Although the colors of Ba Sing Se sounds really nice too.

[Iroh smiles fondly, remembering]

Yes, ah the girls of Ba Sing Se city, are so lovely and pretty...

[He takes a breath in and sighs, he certainly missed seeing those beauties on a daily basis]

You are welcome. Don't worry about the bath, if that is the worse thing to happen in a day, it wouldn't bother me too much. Admittedly, I might start taking showers.

[Vash grins at Iroh's sigh. He's given that sigh himself a couple times in the past.] Showers, huh? Do your baths often get interrupted?

Oh, not too often. Though I was captured at one point by a patrol after dozing in a nice warm bath.

[Hot water is his weakness, sometimes it has leaf juices within it]

Captured? Right from a bath? Well, that's just not civil at all! They should have at least waited for you to finish! It would have been the polite thing to do!

[Not that he's one to talk. Bounty hunters have tried in the past to catch him in the shower. After all, it must be easier to catch the sixty billion double dollar man unarmed. Too bad most of them didn't know that his left arm is a prosthetic and hiding a gun inside of it.]

But why were you captured to begin with? You seem too nice of an old man to be anything too scary. Did you rob a store or something? I'm not spending time with someone who's going to be a bad influence on me, am I?

[He says it with a joking tone to his voice. Even if Iroh was some kind of wanted man back home Vash really isn't the kind to be judging base on that alone.]

Yes, they didn't even allow me to get anything on more than a loincloth. Not the best way to travel.

[He begins brewing some tea before he goes into any back story]

Are you sure you would like to know?

[Then the goofy looks disappear as Iroh asks if Vash would really like to know. Replaced with a soft smile instead.]

Only if you would like to share. I don't need to know everything that might have happened back home. It's one of the interesting aspect of being in Luceti.

I was a different man several years ago. My official title used to be General Iroh, crown prince of the Fire Nation, and leader of a successful campaign through the Earth Kingdom. We had many hard fought victories, and managed to cut a swathe through the kingdom, severely crippling the Earth Kingdom forces, and I besieged the greatest of bastions in our world, the mighty city of Ba Sing Se. The siege lasted for 600 days, until my men and I tired and we lifted the siege. There were lingering feelings of animosity afterwards.

[Though he lifted the siege because his son died]

[Vash sits quietly and without interruption. A General, huh? Somehow, he's not really that surprised.]

So, your world was at war? [Gunsmoke had never seen a war. Well, an official war. There were always family feuds and his own playing a rather large part, but never any war. Still, he remembered what he had learned from Rem during his study of human history.] Six hundred says seems like a very long time for a battle. I can see why it would be something hard to forget.

I hope your home isn't at war anymore.

Thankfully it isn't. The war lasted for over a hundred years. In a strange twist of destiny, I ended up taking Ba Sing Se, but away from the Fire Nation, and returning it to the Earth Kingdom. It was a long time to create peace, but it was finally achieved. Aang and his companions brought peace to the world, and Aang was able to neutralize the Fire Lord, my brother without killing him. I believe that is what the world needed after a hundred years of war, something to stop the cycle of war and death, and show that other ways were possible.

[goldenglasses]

[Vash can't help but sigh a bit happily when he hears that the war is over. Then he listens quietly to the rest of what Iroh says - that is until-]

Wait. Aang? The Aang that's here? Blue arrow tattooed Aang? [But he's just a kid! He's met Aang. Really likes him, but it's hard to believe that he ended a hundred year war.

Although, that being true it's probably a good thing. Vash really likes that it seems the war ended without people needing to be killed.]

I take it he didn't mention that he is the avatar, predestined for such great things?

[That was unusual. Aang usually utilized that to his advantage if memory serves]

Ah... well... I guess... I kinda thought... maybe it was you know... an overstatement? [Kids do that now and then.]

Er, well, I knew he was really good at that air stuff he does. I just... didn't think it would end a war and such.

Not at all. He is prone to showing off a bit more than is necessary, but he is the most powerful human in our world. He can use all four elements, and with the Avatar state he has access to the experience and power of literally hundreds upon hundreds of individuals who have all mastered the elements and learned different techniques. In the past avatars have separated land masses, caused massive volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, tidal waves, you name it. He may have a rather silly disposition at times, but he has great power and strength within him.
