[Vash had gone to bed the night before just short of seven feet tall. Somewhere in the night he lost nearly four of those feet. His hair also grew pretty long in the night. Yet, the little boy took all this in stride when he awoke in a bed with really, really baggy clothes on and a cat snuggled up to him. First off: cats are totally the best thing ever. He'd never seen a real one before and they're fluffier than he had imagined! Although he doesn't like it so much when he finds he's in a strange room and there's no one around, but he's been in Luceti before and knows how this works as soon as he finds his journal.]

[Good morning Luceti! There's a happy boy greeting the camera this morning!]


Hello, Luceti! My name's Vash! I'm back again! Nicolas, Sanji, Miss Milly, and Miss Amelia! Hello! You're still here, right? [Nope. Vash had been told that people leave and come back from Luceti, but he's never returned and not had his friends around. He just always makes new ones.] Um, I think I'm at your house Nicholas because I found your cross I'm not suppose to touch. Where is everyone? There's no one home, but I found two cats! [They're amazing. He swings the camera around to show Kuroneko giving her son Donut a tongue bath.] They're really cute! Are they yours, Nicolas? I'm going to go walk around, okay? Tell me when you get back and I promise I'll come back! It's just... it's too quiet with just the cats. I hope you don't mind that I borrowed some shoes!

[After talking to someone who's not in Luceti anymore Vash puts on some clothes he doesn't realize belong to him. There will be a boy in a man's sweatshirt that dangles around his knees and in shoes five sizes too big that he has to shuffle in them until he gets to the clothing shop where he will find better fitting clothes.

Now that he has shoes he can easily run around in that's exactly what this tiny child will do. Don't be surprised that if you spend more than five seconds looking at him (even if it's just too wonder about that knee long hair) you'll have a small, slightly shy boy waving back at you.] Um- hello! [He's shy, but he so very badly wants to make friends.

His new favorite thing? The playground near the school. He'll be all over that. Possibly getting stuck on the jungle gym. Why did he climb so high?

Although eventually he can't ignore the fact that Wolfwood never answers his call. None of them do. With no where else to go he'll return to the apartment he awoke in, but it's so quiet, even with the cats, that he gets a little scared and will open the journal to hear the noise of other people. Without the excitement of meeting new people and seeing new things Vash suddenly was badly missing his brother and Rem.]

Um. Does anyone know any good bedtime stories? [Going to bed without one just seemed wrong.]

[If only the space ship this child lived on had old Disney cartoons. This child would be so excited. Still, it's pretty exciting to see a talking mouse in the book.]

Oh! Um. [Pirates could be scary; even if Sanji was a nice pirate. He was missing the chef too much to want pirates. Genies and mermaids both sounded pretty cool. Rem had told him a story about a genie before, but he knew almost nothing about mermaids.] Mermaids please, Mr. --ah, Mouse? [Is that the polite way to address a talking mouse?] As long as it's not a scary story. I don't like scary stories.

Okay, Mickey! My name's Vash! I've never actually gotten a chance to talk to a mouse before! [Because this is totally normal, right? He SHOULD have talked to a mouse before this, right? Yeah. Probably. He knew his life right now was a bit limited living on the ship, but man it was going to be so COOL when that changed!]

Lemme get this on the road... Once upon a time, there was this King named Triton. He was the king of the sea, and he had a bunch of mermaid daughters. The youngest one was named Ariel. She had the prettiest singin' voice anyone ever heard. But boy, she didn't get along with her dad all that well. See, Triton hated humans, thought they weren't any good, so he forbid his kids from ever bein' near humans.

But Ariel loved humans! She thought they were the most fascinatin' things ever. She even had her own treasure trove full of human stuff!

[The little boy giggles. He agrees that Micky's joke is very funny! He also listens with rapture at the story. Yet, he has a hard time keeping quiet. Something his brother often would get frustrated over. Of course, his brother wasn't here right now to stop Vash either with exasperated: listen to the story! Your question will probably be answered if you listened.

Yet, the topic of this story struck closer to Vash's heart then the boy realized it would.] Why did the King not like humans? Was he scared? Rem says that it's okay to be scared sometimes, but that we shouldn't let it stop us from being nice or who we are.

[Yet he beams when he hears of Ariel's love for humans.] I like humans too! Does she ever get to meet a human? I've never seen a sea, but Rem says it's really, really big! Can humans live in the sea? I think I remember Rem saying they could only visit and travel on it. Is that were she got all her treasures from?

[he can't help but chuckle at all of the questions. This kid is cute! He takes a seat, glad to entertain the little guy.]

Hold on, hold on, one thing at a time! Ha ha! Now then... the King didn't like humans, cause he thought they were all bad. He assumed they were all the same, and didn't bother to give 'em a chance. as for Ariel, she got her treasures thanks to whatever humans dropped into the ocean.

Now one day she's swimmin' in the ocean, she sees this huge ship, full of humans! It belonged to Prince Eric, this real nice fella. Boy, she took one look at him, and it was love at first sight! She coulda watched him in secret all day and all night... but then, this awful storm came up, tossing the ship this way and that! It made the prince fall off board! But Ariel managed ta save him from drownin'!

Oh, yeah. I guess so. [But he still wants to know now! The journal shakes a bit as Vash rearranges his blankets and pulls one of the cats a bit closer.] What's the pirate's name? [That should at least be an okay question to ask.]

[There was always something about small children that could easily put a smile on her face, though Karis could never figure out why. Oh well, the why didn't really matter to her much anyhow.

She couldn't help but watch Vash and wonder how in the world he didn't end up tripping with such ridiculously long hair. Wait, now he's waving at her. Better give him a friendly wave back!] Hi there!

[He had noticed Karis as she watched him and gave a tentative wave, breaking out into a huge smile as it's returned.] Hello! [He's nervous, but he hasn't met anyone mean yet in Luceti and it gives him a bit of confidence as he runs to close some of the distance between them.] Hello! My name's Vash! What's yours?

[Vash? Wasn't that also the name of the man who she had a snowball fight with? What a coincidence.]

[Yay! Someone is happy to meet him! That's so exciting!] It's nice to meet you too, Miss Karis! You have very pretty hair!

[Well this is a first, no one's ever really gave her a compliment about her hair before.] O-oh! Why thank you. [She can't help but run her fingers through her hair since it was mentioned.] You've got some nice hair as well, and fairly long might I add!

Yeah! Rem was saying it was really, really long too! She was going to get ready to cut it, but then I woke up in Luceti instead! I've never gotten my hair cut before, it doesn't hurt right? [Her hair looked short so Vash is assuming she must be an expert on this.] Rem said it wouldn't hurt, but one time I cut my finger with scissors and it hurt a lot! But, I'm okay now! Rem made my finger all better! [Just in case you were worried about that. He'll even hold up one of his fingers so she can see how perfectly okay it is!] My hair really won't hurt like that?
