[Vash had gone to bed the night before just short of seven feet tall. Somewhere in the night he lost nearly four of those feet. His hair also grew pretty long in the night. Yet, the little boy took all this in stride when he awoke in a bed with really, really baggy clothes on and a cat snuggled up to him. First off: cats are totally the best thing ever. He'd never seen a real one before and they're fluffier than he had imagined! Although he doesn't like it so much when he finds he's in a strange room and there's no one around, but he's been in Luceti before and knows how this works as soon as he finds his journal.]

[Good morning Luceti! There's a happy boy greeting the camera this morning!]

Hello, Luceti! My name's Vash! I'm back again! Nicolas, Sanji, Miss Milly, and Miss Amelia! Hello! You're still here, right? [Nope. Vash had been told that people leave and come back from Luceti, but he's never returned and not had his friends around. He just always makes new ones.] Um, I think I'm at your house Nicholas because I found your cross I'm not suppose to touch. Where is everyone? There's no one home, but I found two cats! [They're amazing. He swings the camera around to show Kuroneko giving her son Donut a tongue bath.] They're really cute! Are they yours, Nicolas? I'm going to go walk around, okay? Tell me when you get back and I promise I'll come back! It's just... it's too quiet with just the cats. I hope you don't mind that I borrowed some shoes!

[After talking to someone who's not in Luceti anymore Vash puts on some clothes he doesn't realize belong to him. There will be a boy in a man's sweatshirt that dangles around his knees and in shoes five sizes too big that he has to shuffle in them until he gets to the clothing shop where he will find better fitting clothes.

Now that he has shoes he can easily run around in that's exactly what this tiny child will do. Don't be surprised that if you spend more than five seconds looking at him (even if it's just too wonder about that knee long hair) you'll have a small, slightly shy boy waving back at you.] Um- hello! [He's shy, but he so very badly wants to make friends.

His new favorite thing? The playground near the school. He'll be all over that. Possibly getting stuck on the jungle gym. Why did he climb so high?

Although eventually he can't ignore the fact that Wolfwood never answers his call. None of them do. With no where else to go he'll return to the apartment he awoke in, but it's so quiet, even with the cats, that he gets a little scared and will open the journal to hear the noise of other people. Without the excitement of meeting new people and seeing new things Vash suddenly was badly missing his brother and Rem.]

Um. Does anyone know any good bedtime stories? [Going to bed without one just seemed wrong.]

[Well, those aneurysms sure sound scary. Even scarier are those cracks widening. Although he's curious about something.]

They shouldn't be so violent-- um, I mean... I suppose I'd be upset if someone broke the world I was living in, but are the elemental able to go home again? Or do they have to try to make a new life? Because making a new life is really, really hard!

[Yes. He's concerned about the violent elementals. Of course they have to calm down and not be so violent eventually! It's not like people probably try to fight and kill them or anything!]

[About that...] To be honest, I don't really know Vash. There is very little information on the elementals. What we do know though, is that once they venture into our plain of existence, they seem to only have one thing in mind and one thing only. To feed on each and every single living creature that they can nab. We don't know why, and it doesn't seem that they can be reasoned with. They are also incredibly strong, capable of even ripping apart high classed mechs, and having an unbelievably fast regeneration rate.

B-But there must be some way to make them understand! If people fight with them then nothing will change or be solved! I'm sure they just want to go home! Maybe they're just frightened or scared!

[He does not like it. And his young mind doesn't know how to solve it, just that it's wrong.] I don't know if I want to learn magic anymore. I don't want to make the cracks bigger by mistake.

Well, I have no way of finding this out, I'm sorry. Maybe one day though, it's just something we'll have to hope for. [She feels bad now about informing him of this, but she did say she wasn't going to sugar coat it!]

Though with the cracks, like I said before, we don't have to worry about them. The arcane plain doesn't appear to have any sort of reach over Luceti, so us using magic will have no effect on it. Trust me, I've tried to draw energy from it, but I wasn't capable of even getting a spark. Besides, the time it would take for just the two of us to even cause a crack to widen in the slightest would far pass our lifetimes. [Wait...] Well, I know mine for sure, I don't know how long a Plant can live for...

I don't know either. Rem said that the ones we came from could live for a long, long time if treated right. Maybe forever. [Although he's not sure he likes that information. It something he hasn't given much thought to as he doesn't like the idea out outliving Rem.] I don't know how long Knives and I will live for.

But, even if it's really, really small. I don't want to make a crack. What if I mess up and make it bigger by accident! I don't want anyone to die because of me!

Vash, we can't draw energy from the plain while in Luceti, so the cracks will be completely unaffected.

But what about when I go home? [He's a worry wort.]

[That's...a really good question.] I'm not sure? I would think that, since we're from two different worlds, that the arcane plain really only has an influence on my world? There's a good possibility that it doesn't exist at all in your world.

But will I be able to tell if it is?

If you learn how to sense it and draw energy from it, then yes.

Hmmm. [He thinks about it. That magic he saw was really, really cool. Yet, he had also told Rem that he would help her create her new world. One without any violence and stealing. So even if the chance was small that he could cause a crack it seemed to be going against what he had promised her. Finally he shakes his head.]

That's okay. I don't think I want to learn magic anymore.

Ah- Wait. Really? Why's that? [She seemed rather disappointed from such a decision, but at the same time, it was a relief, since she wasn't going to be a very good teacher to begin with.]

Because I promised Rem that I would help her create a new world without any war or stealing. A place where everyone can live their lives in peace and happiness. Even if it's really, really small, I don't want to do anything that might hurt that!

I understand. The consequences of abusing arcane energy will jeopardize your promise. [She nods and smiles.] But if you ever change your mind, well, it's pretty easy to find me.

[He nods. Happy that Karis understands how important keeping a promise like that is!] Okay! I will! Thank you though for offering to teach me! I'm sorry that I changed my mind.

It's quite alright. I probably wouldn't end up being a very good teacher anyway. [She shrugs.] It's not really my thing.

No way! I think you would have been a very GOOD teacher! After all, it's very important that a teacher explains the risks to their students!

Heh. I guess. [She shrugs.] Though I didn't really get in depth with the benefits as well. Though I don't see much of a point to explain those unless you want to know out of curiosity.

Oh! I bet there are lots and lots of benefits! I bet there are lots of things you can do with your magic! Like be really, really good at hide and seek! [Yes, he's still thinking about that.] OOOH! Can you use it to go invisible?!

There's more than just hide and seek that it can be beneficial for! [So much more...]

Yeah, I can go invisible for a limited amount of time. [Didn't she mention that before?]

Oh yeah! You did say that! [He was so excited he must have forgotten! ~~Yeaaaaaaah, that's it~~]

What other things can you do with it?

Hmm. Well I can make myself run twice as fast, produce balls of light that are void of any heat for a short amount of time, inscribe arcane runes on paper, steel, and other things, slowly fall from great heights, produce electricity from my hands alone to possibly power machinery... [She's counting on her fingers for each one she names off, and if she's not interrupted, she might not stop listing off spells, even ones she hasn't learned how to cast yet, but knows of their existence!]

[Stopping? Who wants to stop her? This stuff is COOL. Even if he did decide not to learn any of it. Karis still has his full attention.]

Wow! Magic can do all that? That's amazing.

[But wait, there's more!] Yeah, it's what's helped all the races known to expand and reach out to each other quickly, since magic is often combined with technology, and that combination results in much more accomplished within a short amount of time than what they would of done separately.

Reach out to each other? So humans and other races get along really well in your world? I would like that.
