Hey everyone! I hope everyone is settling in alright! I know there's a lot to get use to right now. Time traveling and such, but I just found out it's Law's birthday tomorrow! Think we should do something to make it special even if we are back in time at the moment. Like a surprise birthday dinner!

Now, we don't exactly have a lot of food here, but if people would like to come over for dinner and bring a little something to share I'm sure we could have a good time! I'll even trade... ah... something... for it? [He laughs.] Although I have to admit, I'm not very skilled past manual labor, but I'll sure try if you could help out!

For example, is anyone a really good baker? Law, can't have gluten and I have no idea how to avoid the stuff. But I think you can? Or... maybe not? Anyway! Suggestions for a birthday cake of some sort would be greatly appreciated!

It's something that's found in baked goods. I think it might be in the flour? Or the carbs? I don't really know how it works because I've never had to worry about avoiding the stuff before.

Something in the flour? But the only thing in flour is wheat... unless there's something else that I don't know about.

Maybe in the wheat? I dunno. It's like tiny little particles. Hard to pick out I think. I just know Law can't eat most bread because of it.

Oh. I'm not sure how you would make bread without using wheat, though. I guess maybe if you could find something else to make flour out of, but I'm not sure what that would be. I've never heard of bread that was made out of anything else.

Me either. Gina mentioned knowing how to make a mousse. So we're thinking of making that now instead of a cake just to be on the safe side. Wouldn't want to make someone sick on their birthday after all!

That's a good idea! Mousse doesn't have any wheat in it, so it shouldn't have any of that gluten stuff either.

Do you know what kind of flavors he likes best?

N-not really. But is husband might! I'll be sure to ask him!

Yeah! Itachi! Did you not know they got married? [Vash is hoping that's Emil's issue. Or he'll be a little disappointed.]

I didn't even know they were dating. Not that it's a bad thing-- actually, I'm really happy to know that two men can get married and no one thinks that it's strange. I don't think that would be the case back in my world...

I must admit, it's not very common in my world, but it's also not unheard of either. Personally whatever it takes to make people happy and have their life filled of love and peace then I'm all for it myself!

That's how I feel too. If it makes them happy, I don't think we have the right to say anything about it. It's not like there's anything wrong with it if they love each other.

Nope! [And that's all Vash needs to worry about it. He doesn't think much about it in general.] So! Will you be there?

You bet! And I'll bring a dessert that doesn't have any wheat in it, too. Maybe some fudge or something like that.

Ooh! Fudge sounds super tasty! I'd know I'd eat some!

What flavor do you think he'd like?

Hm. You know, I'm not sure! I'd assume chocolate would be a safe bet! But maybe ask Itachi he'd probably know for sure!

I can make some chocolate and then some of some other flavor, just in case. That ought to cover everyone, even those people who don't like chocolate.

Thanks Vash! I think you could probably help the most by making sure that Law doesn't find out about all of this until the party. It won't be as much fun if all of this isn't a surprise.
