[Vash has been very busy the last couple days since returning from the past. He'd been pouring over his journal. Reading what had been changed and what hadn't. It also took him a day to really get up the courage to ask. What if things had changed so much that Noah no longer existed?

Early morning on Monday he opens his journal.]

Who do I need to speak with about kids who have been removed from Luceti? And about getting them back? I want to know more about Noah Wolfwood.

[Please. Please don't tell him that he's no longer there. He's hoping that now things have changed (for the better it seems) he's hoping maybe he could now get the boy back.

While he waits for someone to see his question and respond Vash will be trying to get his life into a somewhat normal routine again. Visiting Seventh Heaven to do his job of helping out there for the morning. For lunch he'll be stopping by the bakery for his normal doughnut haul and eating them while people watching near the fountain. Later in the day he'll also be working at the flower shop. He'll also take a wander through the forest to see if anything had changed very much before he ends his night at Good Spirits for a couple drinks before bed.]

Aw, I'm sure it's not that bad. But thanks, Vash! I think I'll do well with your beard-blessing! [He puts his hands on his hips and poses with a beaming smile, beard out.]

Hey! You know what else you could do?! Grow out your hair and just shave it around the arrow! So you would be a fuzzy arrow head!

Hey, that's be silly! I'd look a lot more like a sky bison then! But... I think I'm good with the bald look, really.

It suits you. Not that many people can pull it off! I think it's because you don't have a lumpy head.

That's a good thing right? ...Yeah, of course it's a good thing! No lumps to be found here! [He knocks on his head in demonstration.]

[Vash laughs in joy and he stuffs another donut into his mouth as he cuts himself a slice of apple pie.] Careful! Or you may end up adding a few lumps and you'll have to go the hairy arrow route again.

Oh, I'll be careful! No extra lumps for this head!

So, are you thinking of growing out really long and big? Or keep it kind of short?

I don't know, I haven't thought about it! I'm still getting used to having it at all... And I don't know how I'm supposed to wear it in my future!

[goldenglasses]

Wear it in your future? What do you mean by that?

W-well I heard that at home, I'm gonna have a beard when I grow up.

[goldenglasses]

Well, as long as you want to have one. After all, our futures are our own to make. Nothing is set in stone as I think our latest trip has shown.

You're right. I never thought that time could really be changed that way. ...But right now, I'm not sure if I want to do that kind of change to my own life.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah? [He thinks about that for a moment. Remembering some posts talking about meeting grandkids.] A pretty good future to look forward to back home?

It looks like it. After all, it's gonna lead to people like Ikki and Jinora benig born.

With a grandfather like you? How could any kid grow up to not be amazing? I wouldn't worry about your future too much.

Thanks, Vash. I- I won't worry. [Even if he knows he wo't be there in person in a grandfatherly sense.] And I hope you have a great future too.

Yeah, I do too. [Although he's not too excited about the home that awaits him. Yet, he knows he must go back eventually. He can't let himself forget about the lives Rem gave her life to save.] And if it's not I'll just keep working at it until it is.

I believe in you, Vash. You're a good person, and I know you'll make a future just as good.

Thanks. I hope so. [He really does. As what kind of future will be left for the desert planet if he doesn't stop his brother?]
