[Vash has been very busy the last couple days since returning from the past. He'd been pouring over his journal. Reading what had been changed and what hadn't. It also took him a day to really get up the courage to ask. What if things had changed so much that Noah no longer existed?

Early morning on Monday he opens his journal.]

Who do I need to speak with about kids who have been removed from Luceti? And about getting them back? I want to know more about Noah Wolfwood.

[Please. Please don't tell him that he's no longer there. He's hoping that now things have changed (for the better it seems) he's hoping maybe he could now get the boy back.

While he waits for someone to see his question and respond Vash will be trying to get his life into a somewhat normal routine again. Visiting Seventh Heaven to do his job of helping out there for the morning. For lunch he'll be stopping by the bakery for his normal doughnut haul and eating them while people watching near the fountain. Later in the day he'll also be working at the flower shop. He'll also take a wander through the forest to see if anything had changed very much before he ends his night at Good Spirits for a couple drinks before bed.]

Oh! I never worry about that when it comes to the brigade! The only thing I wonder about is just how you manage to think of bigger and bigger things each time!

[godbent]

That's a matter of not limiting yourself, you know? [ Siiiiiiip. But aside from that: ] Either way, what did the mission go like, to run so long?

[goldenglasses]

[Vash blinks a couple times. Mission? With running?] Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh........ not sure.... I remember that one.

[Wait!] O-ooh! You mean the one everyone just came back from? Ahh, what have you heard so far?

[godbent]

Oh. not much really.

[goldenglasses]

Well, apparently we went back in time to stop the Third Party or the Malnosso from ever forming. Do you remember hearing about those two groups before?

[godbent]

No. [ Well, she might've heard the word "Malnosso" from a few people today, but it's still a weird alien word to her. She narrows her eyes, but then leans one arm onto the counter and leans in towards Vash ] Who're they?

[goldenglasses]

Well, they were an old organization that use to run experiments on people without their consent. Not a very nice bunch. I guess with us going back though, they never formed.

[godbent]

Without consent...? Is that really all that different from the Organization?

[ She doesn't have the context to compare the two. She frowns a little as she ponders it - it's still annoying that they got to travel in time, but she didn't ]

[goldenglasses]

Well, to be fair I've only been living in this changed world for a few days now. I'll let you know when I have a better idea with all the changes.

[godbent]

Mmm, fair enough. I'll expect a full report then.

[goldenglasses]

Then I'll get back to you with the changes soon chief!

Good! And don't skimp on any of the details!

[ And she is, of course, 100% serious. But that doesn't mean she doesn't smile at the end of that barked order, in a way which shows affection. She turns her look away and elbows him lightly in the side ]


For now, though, I guess we're just here together.

Yeah, I guess so! It's really great to see you again after being away, Chief! But, ahh- have any of your other friends been acting like you were gone a lot longer?

[godbent]

[ It's a short moment before she nods ]

Yeah, Raine was really spooked in general.

[goldenglasses]

[Vash leans back further in his seat. On the edge of about to tip over, but having a secure balance at the moment.] Well, that might be because before we left, you had actually been sent home. [He says it casually. Hoping if he did it would keep the fact from being something to stress out about. After all, there was little to be done about it now.] At least to us it seemed that way.

[godbent]

[ Okay that's more than a little spooky. That might be something to ponder. Or at least freak a little on. But most immediately: ]

What.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah. From what I remembered before I went back into the past; you had been sent home. I guess when we messed with the past it changed so that you never were sent home.

[godbent]

Can... you know, I - Mmmr. Can it even work like that?! This is a lot of different universes there, you know!

[ She's only not excited sounding because she's pondering it and she's not fully getting it herself. Knuckles on the counter - come one, she wants a fruity drink!! ]

[goldenglasses]

I dunno. I don't see why not. I mean, if we changed things in the past it could change stuff in the future, right? I mean, isn't that the idea of time travel?

[godbent]

Yeah, but we're already dimensions apart.

... You're right though. That's amazing.

[ Wait - ] So that means the world was different before, and I don't remember it!

[goldenglasses]

[Vash chuckles and reaches up to rub at the back of his neck shyly.] Yeah! I guess so! Because you don't remember the Malnosso at all! And they use to be some pretty important and nasty people!

[godbent]

But how do you know you're not Shifted? Or taken in by some spirit...?

[ And she takes a long sip from her drink, smirking a little ]

Or I could be.

[goldenglasses]

Hmmm. [Vash leans back and taps at his chin as if in deep thought. Then he lets the stool fall back onto all fours with a grin.] I guess I don't really! I suppose it could be just a shift or a spirit! It wouldn't be the first time after all. Guess I won't know for sure until one of our shifts wears off or if it never wears off!

[He oddly seems rather alright with that.]

[godbent]

You should probably be more worried about that!

[ Huff. she had not been taking it seriously, but somehow Vash responding like that makes her annoyed, so she reaches out and pokes his chest ]

[goldenglasses]

Hm? [He blinks down at the finger poking his chest, but does nothing to stop it.] You think so? I dunno, I can't change things now. So should I really worry about something bad I can't stop before something I can't predict happens? Sounds like a lot of stress when I could be happy instead.

Besides! It could be good!
