[Action/Voice] Backdated to Jan. 12th

[Vash hasn’t been having a good week. Shortly after this failed conversation Wednesday evening with his brother, he’s weaving his way through town trying to get himself to the clinic. Blood has stopped spilling from a deep cut just above his fake arm on his left. His right is still bleeding a bit and his bigger problem. The collar bone having been neatly cut through. His head is a bit cloudy from the pain and blood loss, but he keeps going in a fairly straight line.

It’s after he gets treatment that he then faces the part he’s been dreading even more than facing his brother. He opens his journal, but it takes him awhile to write out a filter with his sore arms.]

[Even after the filter goes up he’s quiet for a long time. Unsure how to start.] I… I’m sorry, but… [A long pause. He takes a long deep breath, then slowly lets it out and forces himself on.] But there was a man dead out in the woods. I… I’m not sure who he was. I’m sorry. [Damn it, Knives.]

He had short, dark hair. I’m sorry I don’t know much more than that. He was already gone when I found him. I… I’m sorry if you knew him. [Yeah, too bad Vash doesn’t know that Jack is immortal and is probably already alive again by the time he makes this post. Of course, he doesn’t know that, so now that he’s not bleeding to death, and has at least one - mostly - useable arm, he’s heading back out to take care of the body if the Malnosso haven’t gotten to it yet. (Or you know… the body hasn‘t walked off yet!)]

[Vash is quiet for a long time before he answers. The last thing he wanted was to send a man hunt after Knives. Not only because they could get hurt, but having people attack him isn't going to help Knives's opinion of humans any. At the same time, he needed to warn people about his brother.]

I didn't see the attack... [Yeah, there's a huge but hanging there in the air.]

[And while Vash gets out of the clinic and maybe makes the voice post he will come across an innocent image. A kid making snowmen, tons of snowmen, basically an army but mostly because the poor Goku still isn't good at them and some of them even collapse brief minutes after he builds them.]

[Vash notes the snowmen as he heads out. They're cute and he gives a very small, very tired smile. It's nice to see someone is still having fun and happy after the past couple days he's had. However, with the grim task of having to take care of a bloody body ahead of him, he's not going to stop and chat unless Goku makes a move first.]

[Goku's just minding his own business with little attention to the world around him, so Vash passes by totally unnoticed and with no reaction from the child.

Except, not really. The bright red coat is hard to miss when there's so much white around. And that hair too. Goku spots him quite quickly and notices that the man looks a bit down or worried. Obviously he has to do something to fix that. In Goku's style at least, see the boy run after you Vash and follow wherever you go.]

[Vash catches on that he's gained a little follower. He stops and turns towards Goku. He has no plans on being followed out to the woods. No one else should see what happened to Jack.] Oh, hello there. Are you lost?

[Whether or not he's trying to avoid her with those injuries, Kaori was able to sense him once he got close enough to where she'd been staying in the same clinic. So she's staring that way, wondering if he really was coming by or not.

Not that she can say much, anyway.]

[Not intentionally is he ignoring her. At first all he's focused on is getting stitched up. Once that's done, however, he will make a quick stop to see you once that's over.] Hey there, Kaori. Feeling any better? [He's trying to sound happy to see you, but right now he's really just tired and depressed.]

[She sighs and shrugs, fairly certain that she had demonstrated how much she hates the clinic the first time here. It could be worse.

But her brow is furrowing, sensing the depression coming from him. Did something else happen out there since Wolfwood came by?]

Not much better, huh? Well, I'm sorry, but there are good doctors here. I'm sure you'll be feeling better soon.

[That body would indeed have awakened and walked off by now, but he does see this post and realizes that his death was witnessed and affected someone else. He hurries back to where he was in the forest, hoping to intercept Vash... and maybe not scare him too much.]

[Vash will indeed be coming through the trees after some time. He's still not really sure what he's going to do. The ground is too frozen and he's too injured to dig, but he couldn't just leave it there either. He's so caught up in his thoughts that he hasn't noticed the changes that have happened since he left just yet.]

[Jack spots him and steps around a tree, hoping he doesn't startle him too much.] Hey there. Looking for something?

Not for at LEAST a month. He was a chibi for two weeks then had a horrible week after that
