[Vash hasn’t been having a good week. Shortly after this failed conversation Wednesday evening with his brother, he’s weaving his way through town trying to get himself to the clinic. Blood has stopped spilling from a deep cut just above his fake arm on his left. His right is still bleeding a bit and his bigger problem. The collar bone having been neatly cut through. His head is a bit cloudy from the pain and blood loss, but he keeps going in a fairly straight line.

It’s after he gets treatment that he then faces the part he’s been dreading even more than facing his brother. He opens his journal, but it takes him awhile to write out a filter with his sore arms.]

[Even after the filter goes up he’s quiet for a long time. Unsure how to start.] I… I’m sorry, but… [A long pause. He takes a long deep breath, then slowly lets it out and forces himself on.] But there was a man dead out in the woods. I… I’m not sure who he was. I’m sorry. [Damn it, Knives.]

He had short, dark hair. I’m sorry I don’t know much more than that. He was already gone when I found him. I… I’m sorry if you knew him. [Yeah, too bad Vash doesn’t know that Jack is immortal and is probably already alive again by the time he makes this post. Of course, he doesn’t know that, so now that he’s not bleeding to death, and has at least one - mostly - useable arm, he’s heading back out to take care of the body if the Malnosso haven’t gotten to it yet. ~~(Or you know… the body hasn‘t walked off yet!)~~]

He's not human and can create knives from his body that don't seem to have much of a range limit. [Okay, so he doesn't really know that for sure, but better safe than sorry and think there's not a limit.] He can also absorb bullets and shoot them back.

He... he can also release a powerful blast of energy that can destroy a whole city.

[Vash doesn't like sharing that, but he needs to stress how dangerous Knives can be. What the consequences could be if someone tried to go after him.]

[Well, starting out, that sounds like something that wouldn't give him, Diana, and Superman any problems. Invulnerability + force fields are good about that. But a blast that powerful?]

... what kind of limits does this blast have? If he's about to release it, how much warning would you have?

Not very long. It only takes a couple seconds to charge. [At least, when you're not trying to fight back the power it does.] His arm will start to transform when he's about to release it, but if we can keep him away from his gun he shouldn't be able to use it. I already checked the smithy, I didn't see it there. [Of course, Vash doesn't know that this version of his brother doesn't need his gun.]

It would be better if we had the gun on hand. Determining whether he can still use this ability is a top priority.

I'm pretty sure he can.

So it comes down to a matter of speed. [Well, he knows the fastest man in the world.] Anything else you can tell us?

He has a very loyal follower here. His name is Legato and he can control people's bodies from a distance.
