[Vash had heard there were a lot more people here, but surely people must be exaggerating a little right? It must just be the start of the new feather cycle and there’s just a little more people here than normal. Right? Wrong. He realizes just how wrong he is as he heads towards the plaza for some groceries.]

Uh… excuse me. Pardon me. Um - could I get through please?

WHERE DID ALL YOU PEOPLE COME FROM!? And where are your wings?! [No really, why aren’t you falling over dead? Not that he’s not happy you’re not but… that’s not fair.] Ahaha…. do we even have enough places for all these people to stay?

YW-OUCH! Ow!! That was my foot! Please watch where you’re going!

[watching him carefully, she's looking for any sign of recognition... but she's not exactly expecting it. After Paradisa and dopplegangers and plenty of other odd encounters, she's not jumping to conclusions.

Alright, lead the way. [As they fight their way through the crowd Vash speaks up again.] You don't uh... have wings under that coat by chance do you?

[it doesn't take long to weave through to get to the side (if not all the way to where Vash wanted to be. The question gets a smile, though, as she stops]

From the way people have been acting...I"m going to guess that's not normal, around here.

[At this point, Vash is just happy to be away from the crowd.] Ah... no. Everyone who's come here so far all have a set of wings. [He's going to avoid the comment about how losing them leads to death for now.]

[Vash stares a moment or two. It's not like him to forget a face.] No, I'm sorry... but I should?

[a quick smile] It's just been a strange year.

[offering a hand] I'm Jilly.

Alright, then. [Vash smiles back and offers his hand in returns for the shake.] I'm Frank.

Yeah, Frank. Oh, do you think it's too plain? Some people think that until they hear my full name.

[she'll just ignore the pretty lady part] So... did everyone here have wings before coming? Or was it more like a gift on arrival sort of deal?

Gift on arrival. Even those that did have wings first have these now.

...so what happens to their old wings? Do they get two sets?

I'm not... really sure how it works. I know a friend of mine still has her old wings, but she doesn't have them out all the time, but I have heard people over the journals complaining about how they don't have their old wings. She might be one of those: Exception to the rule kind of people. She's also an angel so I'm not sure if that matter too.

So why did we get missed? Seems there's a lot of people wandering around without them, now.

I don't know, the people who run this place just seem to like to throw us curve balls all the time.

[even without Paradisa, she's dealt with enough strange events that this barely registered on the weird scale.

At least, the wings alone. The rest of the Luceti package might be a different matter]

We're somewhere far from the world-as-we-know-it. Why would I expect anything to be predictable?
