And Meryl I’m going exploring! Would you like me to pick anything up for you while I’m out?

[Vash can be found wandering around the village. Where exactly? Pretty much anywhere. His goal was the repair shop to look for his gun but it’s not that he’s lost… he just doesn’t know where he is. Feel free to bug him around town.

After his shopping he’ll be coming home and while putting things away someone notices his own letter. After reading it a couple times he’ll be looking for Meryl to ask her about a couple things.]

O-Of course I am! [ She scrunches her nose at his teasing and makes herself a plate as well, taking it to the table. ]

[Vash smiles and waits for you to get your plate and sit down before continuing his meal. He'll try to small talk but honestly he's still thinking about that letter.]

[ She sits down and tastes the fish, thoughtfully. A smile appears on her face afterward. ]

It really did turn out well... hm...

[ She's quiet a moment. ] I wonder if we'll ever have fresh fish like this on Gunsmoke.

It's like you grew up alongside our society. [ She smiles a bit and chews her food, thinking quietly. It's been a long time since she's sat down to a proper meal with anyone. ]

[He rubs the back of his neck shyly. This isn't something he's ever really got to talk to someone openly about; but he's smiling.] Yeah! I guess I did!

[ She smiles, a bit shy herself, and glances down at her plate, sniffling a little, nose still stuffy. ]

No it's alright. [He pokes at his food slightly.] It's just something I've never given too much thought about. [He smiles] Of course... there hasn't really been anyone to talk about it with before either.

I was really glad to learn the truth, no matter what it was. I was glad to know more about you.

[ She smiles more, shaking her head. ]

I've seen enough by now that there's no way that would scare me, Vash.

[He looks at you speechless for a moment then a genuine smile spreads across his face.] I'm glad.

[He nods] Mmhm. Very glad. [He takes another bite of his dinner.] Glad; to be here. With you.

[ She tries very hard not to make her surprise known, so she ducks her head a bit, red from her nose to her ears as she hides behind eating for a few minutes. ] I'm... I... even though it would be better for you to be home... I'm... I'm glad you're here. Being away from y.. from... from everyone and everything I knew so long, it was ... starting to wear on me. I guess.. you saved me again.
