[Today was good and windy out. The perfect chance for Vash to try to contact Kipinn. So today he’s found himself sitting in the middle of a clearing, eyes shut as he tries to contact the spirit. Only problem? He’s never been good at sitting still in a meditative like state. So his mind starts to wander.

Just little thoughts here and there. Wondering what Meryl might be cooking for dinner tonight. Friends he should try to reconnect with. Man, it‘s really cold out. Hopefully he‘ll hear Kipinn soon, maybe he should have brought a hat out with-

…Legato. [Vash’s face grows dark and he tries his best to keep the man and what he’s said out of his mind, but now that he’s started, he just can’t stop. He thought he had gotten past this, but now with Legato here... can he really fix such a huge mistake?

And it was a mistake. He didn’t see a better way in time!
Don’t you want to face what you have done?
He wasn’t ignoring it! He moved on. Dwelling forever on it wouldn’t help!
I don’t want to be forgotten.
How could he forget!?

So for the next couple hours until he can get himself back under control. Vash can be found with a grimace on his face changing from upset to angry at himself now and then.]

Great! [Obvious relief on April's part and a renewed effort to get to their destination. And a curious glance at Vash.] Once you drop off...your FAIRY...are you going back out there? To meditate, I mean. [April herself is terrible at anything resembling meditation.]

I thought maybe I'd stop by the bakery first. [He needs some pick-me-up donuts after the thoughts that have been banging around his head.]

[A sigh.] Vash, I know you fell into my lap and everything...okay, fine, I'll "grace you with my presence." Someday you need to come over early in the morning, before I've had my coffee. We need to shatter some of your illusions.

The bakery here makes amazing donuts! So fresh they could practically melt in your mouth!

Really, everything at this bakery is superb. The workers there are geniuses if you ask me, but the donuts are the best.

Alright, I'll give it a chance. [April realizes, as she sets foot on the path into the village, that she's never missed the city so much in her life. All it took were three lost hours in the forest to make her long for New York badly.]
