[Vash today is standing outside of Community Building Four staring up into the rain, a happy smile on his face and laughing joyfully. His arms stretched out, he’s already drenched, but doesn’t seem to mind. After a few minutes he opens his journal.]

Hey Meryl! It’s raining outside! [Would anyone care to explain to him what a raincoat is?]

[ She'll just keep trying to catch him, trying not to end up tired out. ]

[He'll keep an eye on you and slow down and let you catch him when you start to tire out.]

[ She latches onto him when he slows, catching her breath. ]

See! I told... you... I could...!

[Grins, a little out of breath himself.] So! You've caught... the sixty billion... double dollar man! What... are you going to do now?

[ She starts laughing breathlessly. ] I guess... I should collect my bounty!

Oh no! Whatever will I do!?

There's nothing you can do, Mr. Vash the Stampede! You're at the mercy of Derringer Meryl!

Please be gentle! I bruise easily!

Could I get out early with good behavior?

Hmm, I'll think about it. But first, let's get inside. You're useless to me, sick.

Hm, that's true. They didn't add that stipulation in the poster. Wanted dead, alive, or sick!

You'd think they would've had enough time to think up all of the possibilities. [ She doesn't want to let him go just yet, but manages to pry herself away to start heading inside. ]

[Vash would be lying if he said he wasn't a bit disappointed when you let go. Follows you in.] Should I put some coffee on?

[ She nods. ]

You get the coffee, I'll get towels.

Alright! [Starts to fill a kettle with water]

[ She goes to the linen closet. ]

[Bangs around the kitchen making the coffee.]

[ She grabs two towels, putting one over her own head and walking back out to the kitchen. ]

Okay, sit, I'll dry your hair.

Alright. [Sits down in a chair.]

[ She smiles and steps behind him, dropping the towel on his head abruptly before starting to ruffle his drooping spikes with it. ]

[He'll sit quietly as you dry his hair, secretly really enjoying it and turning a slight shade of red.]

[ She keeps on rubbing his hair every which way to get all of the water out and off of it before pulling back the towel and running a hand through to test for dryness. ]

Still damp, but you'll live.

Oh good, and I think the coffee is just about done too. [Stands and pours them each a cup.]

[ She leaves the towel on him, sits and dries her own hair. It's not quiet as wet, but she wasn't very good with the umbrella while running. ]
