[Vash is trying to get the last of his Christmas shopping done and can be spotted in the various shops trying to get ideas. But as he comes up lacking still he decides he needs cheering up and opens his journal.]

I haven’t forgotten our bet. You know it doesn’t count if I don’t get to SEE you. I’m headed for the fountain. I’ll meet you there. [No he won’t. I remember waking up after falling out of a cocoon last spring and having to live in a giant tree in a glass bubble.

And I remember you were there. And that I was some kind of priest. And that--
