[Today was good and windy out. The perfect chance for Vash to try to contact Kipinn. So today he’s found himself sitting in the middle of a clearing, eyes shut as he tries to contact the spirit. Only problem? He’s never been good at sitting still in a meditative like state. So his mind starts to wander.

Just little thoughts here and there. Wondering what Meryl might be cooking for dinner tonight. Friends he should try to reconnect with. Man, it‘s really cold out. Hopefully he‘ll hear Kipinn soon, maybe he should have brought a hat out with-

…Legato. [Vash’s face grows dark and he tries his best to keep the man and what he’s said out of his mind, but now that he’s started, he just can’t stop. He thought he had gotten past this, but now with Legato here... can he really fix such a huge mistake?

And it was a mistake. He didn’t see a better way in time!
Don’t you want to face what you have done?
He wasn’t ignoring it! He moved on. Dwelling forever on it wouldn’t help!
I don’t want to be forgotten.
How could he forget!?

So for the next couple hours until he can get himself back under control. Vash can be found with a grimace on his face changing from upset to angry at himself now and then.]

OH! I understand what you mean, but I still don't really like fighting - in any form.

[April nods.] It's tough when your back's against the wall and all you really want is some harmony. That sounds a lot like my life over the past year or so. I've had to make some tough choices.

It seems like everyone has to make some really tough choices now and then, but one day, I'm sure we'll live in a world that's full of peace and choices will be easier. [Run April, you have a dreamer on your hands.]

[This warms her right up to a nice debate.] Come on, surely you've had to make tough decisions before? You know it's not that simple, right? Choices are always difficult in some way; there's always the thing that you give up and lose out on when you make a choice.

[Vash's head drops down to stare at his feet. April you have no idea how much that statement stung matched with what he had just been thinking about.] Yeah, I've had to make some hard ones before. I know there are things you lose when you make it.

O-oh, me? Yeah, I'm alright, just... thinking about some decisions made.

[April runs a hand through her hair thoughtfully and just nods encouragingly. Maybe this is the point not to say anything and let him spill if he wants.]

What's with that coat, anyway? Is that some kind of uniform?

No, it's just a good coat and I've grown attached to it. It's perfect on my desert planet, keeps the sand out and keeps me warm at night.

Yeah, the whole planet is one big desert.

Does anything grow there at all? Where do you get water? How does life survive there?

Not much grows, but some people have managed to cultivate the land to make things grow, as for water there are underground reservoirs that people can dig down into. Oh, and there are the Plants too. They can create food and water if people know how to use them... which unfortunately aren't many.

Yes, this place is almost like an Eden compared to that. I hope one day home will look more like Luceti.

Luceti reminds me a little of Northampton. That's where Casey's family's farm is.

...Uh, is it POSSIBLE to turn a desert into a temperate place like this?

It may be hard, but with the Plants I'll think we'll make it.
