[Today was good and windy out. The perfect chance for Vash to try to contact Kipinn. So today he’s found himself sitting in the middle of a clearing, eyes shut as he tries to contact the spirit. Only problem? He’s never been good at sitting still in a meditative like state. So his mind starts to wander.

Just little thoughts here and there. Wondering what Meryl might be cooking for dinner tonight. Friends he should try to reconnect with. Man, it‘s really cold out. Hopefully he‘ll hear Kipinn soon, maybe he should have brought a hat out with-

…Legato. [Vash’s face grows dark and he tries his best to keep the man and what he’s said out of his mind, but now that he’s started, he just can’t stop. He thought he had gotten past this, but now with Legato here... can he really fix such a huge mistake?

And it was a mistake. He didn’t see a better way in time!
Don’t you want to face what you have done?
He wasn’t ignoring it! He moved on. Dwelling forever on it wouldn’t help!
I don’t want to be forgotten.
How could he forget!?

So for the next couple hours until he can get himself back under control. Vash can be found with a grimace on his face changing from upset to angry at himself now and then.]

I was kinda hoping to learn some of their magic. Learning it can keep you from getting bored, right? [And nifty to use against blue haired assholes.]

For some reason I don't believe that.

You'd be surprised by just how fast I could run, but if you don't believe that then just think of me as a hunter of peace. One that chases the elusive mayfly known as love.

I know. [He doesn't like that part.] But they know how to live, even if their lives are short they spend it looking for love.

Aww--that's kinda sweet, Vash. [Is this guy like those cult people who hand you a flower at the airport?] You know, though, that running away isn't the best way to find love, right?

I find it's better than fighting, right? I'm not a very good fighter.

[She pats his arm.] It's okay. Fighting rarely solves anything. But love "looks on tempests and is never shaken."

I like that. Love is never shaken, even in the face of something like a typhoon.

That was by a poet from my world named Shakespeare. A sonnet. I wrote it down once, back in high school.

He was an interesting guy. Kind of hard to understand his writing at times. [Returning to the subject.] So, yeah---sometimes I guess you can't run when love's at stake, you know?

I suppose, but I'd still rather avoid fighting if I can.

[You're persistent on this fighting idea.] I've always believed fighting doesn't usually solve anything. I guess if it's life or death, I'd have to fight, but really, can't most things be solved without it?

No, that's not what I mean: I fight for stuff all the time without actually, you know--[She starts shadow boxing to illustrate her point.]

OH! I understand what you mean, but I still don't really like fighting - in any form.

[April nods.] It's tough when your back's against the wall and all you really want is some harmony. That sounds a lot like my life over the past year or so. I've had to make some tough choices.

It seems like everyone has to make some really tough choices now and then, but one day, I'm sure we'll live in a world that's full of peace and choices will be easier. [Run April, you have a dreamer on your hands.]

[This warms her right up to a nice debate.] Come on, surely you've had to make tough decisions before? You know it's not that simple, right? Choices are always difficult in some way; there's always the thing that you give up and lose out on when you make a choice.
